Impossible to contact and app doesn't work.

I signed up because of a recommendation from my phone provider but the app wouldn't work. I tried contacting Airtime but kept getting "error, try again later". I deleted the app with a request for the company to delete my personal and bank card details but they still email and track my shopping. I keep trying to message them to delete my details but just get the error message. I don't trust the company and wish I'd read the recent reviews before sending my bank card details. I just want them to cancel my membership and not hold my bank card information!

Used to be great years ago

Used to be great years ago, would get loads of rewards but now hardly any of the shops I shop at are on there! Or you have to use a specific link or buy a gift card which I don't want to do. I haven't earnt a single penny in all of May! Bring back Costa coffee, m&s, next etc. I'm not interested in designer clothes brands or shein, boohoo etc

A small amount towards my phone bill.

When I joined Airtime rewards, many years ago, I purchased gift cards. If I purchased so many per month then I would accumulate a bonus. Now gift cards do not count towards that bonus, which is very disappointing.
Rewards for buying gift cards has reduced by customer. I still buy gift cards as they do help towards my mobile phone bill, just nowhere near as much, which is why only the 4 stars.

Used to be a great way to save money on your phone bill. However lately transactions are missing and even though you submit a missing transaction form, send the receipt and bank statement they say it doesn’t meet the criteria. I think it’s because the reward would have been £47.04 and that is the real reason. They say it’s because my bank statement doesn’t show the last 4 digits of my card. Whose bank account does this? Customer service is very slow to reply. Absolute joke

We’re sorry to hear you’ve been disappointed with your recent experience. We understand how frustrating it is when a transaction doesn’t track as expected, especially for a larger reward amount.
To clarify, the rewards are funded and approved by the retailer, so when investigating missing transactions we do need certain information to confirm that the purchase was made using a registered payment card. This helps us work with the retailer to investigate any tracking concerns properly.

We appreciate that not all bank statements display the last 4 digits of the card used, and we apologise for any frustration caused during this process. We’re also sorry to hear you’ve found response times slower than expected, and we’ll make sure your feedback is passed on to improve on our support.

Not happy !!!!

Made an in App purchase with TUI - followed the instructions and completed. When I checked my emails to see TUI confirmation I noticed Airtime had also emailed me to say they had saved my “link”. They sent the same email later that day. Slightly confused so contacted them to say “why did you send these - I already did the purchase in App”. Next thing I know they are telling me their records show I did not use the App !!!!! Complete lies - come on Airtime sort this out !!!!

Update 19 May : thank you Airtime for looking into this and resolving.

They give great rewards on your O2 bill. They also listen to you when you ask about certain rewards and reply to you.

Refusing to let me redeem and poor customer service

Tried to redeem to my network (Three) and the funds were deducted from my Airtime balance but were not sent to the network and it's still marked as 'pending' on the Airtime app. Contacted support but they haven't done anything and it's been 14 days since I first contacted them. Not sure if they have financial difficulties as they're not letting me withdraw my rewards (which is within their £20 per month cap).

EDIT: I'm still getting no response from customer service - I responded to their TrustPilot enquiry but still haven't had any response.

A great incentive

A great incentive! Very straightforward and easy to understand how it’s done. The rewards load up pretty quick and it is great to have the option of reducing your bill with the points or receive it in cash.
A great way to earn as you spend! Definitely recommend!

Great way to make money, a few annoying features

This is an great way to make money. There is an increasing number of different retailers on there which is great. I like the monthly rewards too, as an extra boost.

The thing that lets it down is the fact that there is a cap on the amount you can redeem each month - you save up money on the app and then can’t use it the way you wanted to. I understand that this could be the decision of the phone companies, but it is a problem.

There are some annoying things that just don’t need to be there - like the fact that ‘tap to earn’ purchases don’t count towards the monthly challenges. Also the fact that you have to activate flash rewards - why? I guess the idea is that they want people constantly looking at the app but it actually just frustrates people when they get a notification saying they’ve missed out on a flash reward, especially when you already use the app a lot.

Before joining, I was a little worried about the safety of my bank cards but I’ve been on there over a year and have had no problems at all - I completely trust it.

Rip off fees and restrictions

I've been using airtime for a few years now and when I first joined the rates were good and everything was fine.

Over this time the rates have started to slip, I then changed providers to ID mobile which they don't support.

I was told by them that's fine, as I can have the money transferred into my bank. So I have saved since and have £44 in my account, when I go to withdraw I can only withdraw £10 a month AND they charge £1.30 for the privilege each time.... I emailed them and was told it was to cover costs of the transfer, total rip off and rubbish.

So now I'm having to wait for over four months to get the money I earned... Guess they are happy though, earning a lot of interest on all our money by restricting our withdrawals, along side the money they make with each purchase and the insane £1.30 charge to have £10 of my rewards!!!

Don't see companies like Quidco or Topcashback do that...... Shame on you Airtime.
