We lost our bonsai after 5yrs
We lost our bonsai after 5yrs , it died slowly, very sad, we live in Essex, started looking in local garden centers, no luck then further afield , when we found a place stocking bonsais they were nothing like ours ( zanthoxylum pipertum ) but I didn’t know that at the time , I’m
Old don’t love modern tech but reluctantly turned to google haha ,
And there it was , Yorkshire Bonsai , seemed to be endless pics , didn’t take long to find the one we had & now new the name , then I found one that looked very much like mine had , ermmm sorry I should have said this was on eBay, from there it was made so easy for me , I messaged saying I wanted a particular one , superwoman messaged me back saying no problem at all they would that , so I sent a pic , 2/3 days later it arrived amazingly packaged, we’ve had a week , it comes with brill info on how to care for it long term , it gleams , it couldn’t look any better , so happy , I’d like to thank all at Yorkshire Bonsai for making it so easy especially Superwoman,

They’ll take your money but fail to deliver
Very poor service. I ordered a bonsai tree on 30 March and paid for delivery to the USA. My order was confirmed for delivery to an American address on 14 April. So far, so good.
Two weeks later, on 13 April Yorkshire Bonsai emailed me to say they couldn’t deliver plants to America, and would be cancelling my order with a full refund. So I was left scrabbling around trying to find a replacement birthday present for someone on a different continent, with just a few hours remaining before their birthday.
I managed to find an alternative supplier but had to pay a large fee for express delivery to get the present there on time. Although Yorkshire Bonsai refunded me the price of my original order, they refused to cover the extra costs that I incurred as a result of their failure.
Yorkshire Bonsai says it’s my fault for not spotting a notice on their website saying they can’t currently deliver to the USA. Why did the website let me place an order and pay for delivery to the USA then? And why did it take 2 weeks for them to bother to tell me.
Do not use this company if you want peace of mind that an order will be delivered.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear how frustrating this experience was, particularly given the timing around a birthday — we do understand how disappointing that must have been.
As outlined on our website, we’re currently unable to ship live plants outside of the UK, including to the USA, due to import restrictions. While we appreciate this may have been overlooked, the information is available prior to purchase and we do encourage customers to check or contact us if they are unsure, particularly for international or time-sensitive orders.
That said, we do recognise that the order being accepted and the delay in identifying the issue added to the inconvenience, and this is something we are reviewing internally to improve going forward.
A full refund was issued as soon as the issue came to light.

Fantastic Service, bought a Chinese Pepper Broom…
I purchased a Chinese Pepper Broom whilst having a wander around the grounds of our Leeds office, I didn’t expect to buy a bonsai before 9am at work!
Paul was brilliant, he genuinely cares about the trees and took a lot of time to wrap the tree for the car and take me through the care leaflet plus any questions to just get in touch.
I can’t comment on the longevity as only just purchased but it’s in beautiful condition and all the trees in their base appear well cared for and the team appear passionate about the business.
Such a lovely guy, I will probably buy one each time I visit my Leeds office!

Present for the Wife
Called Yorkshire Bonsai, before visiting their site on the Bank Holiday Monday, as according to Google they where open but times may vary. Spoke to Paul who advised that they are closed but just in fulfilling online orders. To be fair he didn't had to answer the phone, however, arranged a visit for the Tuesday. Attended site and met Paul and Dan, who were extremely welcoming. I discussed my criteria and a few options with Paul, who was very knowledgeable and evidently passionate. Paul answered all my questions and concerns. I opted to purchase a Chinese Elm, and genuinely, no pressure from Paul. He also extended to an after care service, regarding maintenance or any issues with the tree.

Great Product and Fantastic Service
I have viewed the Facebook page a few times and ordered a cascade pot for a project. It was a great price and the delivery was fantastic, it arrived 3 days early over a bank holiday aswell ! Great support on the enclosed leaflet. Very happy and will return. Thank you so much .

A great buying experience from start to finish

Chinese Elm Bonsai
I ordered a Chinese Elm Bonsai, it arrived carefully packaged so that there was no damage to the tree during transit. The tree is beautiful and the instructions are clear, I’m a beginner so this is very helpful!
I also placed an accidental order and emailed them to cancel that order which they did promptly. It was hassle free and communication from them was great.
Would definitely keep ordering from them in the future.
