Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. Not only has the delivery been a week late but they also made us stay at home a whole day giving us a delivery time slot and not even showing up! Terrible costumer service, they don’t give you a tracking no or anything. All they give you is a phone no which doesn’t even work on weekends. So disappointing. I would avoid at all cost!

Misleading and rude

Slow, expensive delivery. The arrived plant is substantially underwhelming. The advertising images are deceptive. Customer service not interested.

Response: I find it revealing that by your own admission the images displayed on your website are "edited" and in your responses you freely admit the images that are not indicative of what customers will receive. Yet there is no warning of this on your website. You insult me for expecting what was advertised, whilst openly confessing to misleading customers. Do you think that is a reputable business practise?

We import our plants directly from specialist growers in Italy, so yes, they may occasionally look different from the heavily edited, fully mature display photos people seem to expect from a newly delivered nursery plant.

The pot size and specifications are clearly listed before purchase, and plant appearance naturally varies depending on season, pruning, growth stage, and normal transport shock after travelling across Europe — which is completely standard for live plants and something most gardeners understand.

As for delivery, imported live plants require careful handling and logistics, not teleportation.

And customer service did respond — just apparently not with the level of theatrical outrage being demanded here.

Plants infested with thrips & aphids

I have ordered 6 pots of herbs from them. At the time of arrival, they were the only plants I had in my flat.

In a week or so, 2 were full of aphids. All of them came with infested with thrips.

I have complained to them & they tried to downplay the problem and said it was only a few insects and a bit of soapy water spray will fix it.

I have spent the next 6 weeks spraying them regularly. I have razed to of them to the ground 2x. The thrips keep coming back. On a second complaint, they have agreed to refund me the money. Unfortunatelly, it looks like they have infested all the plants I have tried to grow from seed.

I have since destroyed their plants. It has been an awful waste of my time & effort.

I have actually tried to consume some of the parsley bought from them, only to feel unwell for the next 24 hours. This leads me to believe these plants have been heavily sprayed to try and keep the bugs under control.

Do not buy from them - they need to destroy their edible plants and stop selling them to control the infestation. There is only this amount of pesticides you can use on edible herbs before you start poisoning people & pets!!

Garden gate

Order a garden gate. In stock at time of ordering. 2 weeks later no delivery. Phoned to be told it was left at the port as it didn't fit in the van. So not in stock at all. Cancelled the order 1 week on still waiting for refund. Hopefully I will receive it. No one seems to follow through on actions when you phone.

Healthy and bushy plant

Delivery does take a while, but in the end I got slightly taller than advertised, healthy and bushy plant.
No damages, like someone was carrying in hands from nursery to my door.

I ordered a large Hydrangea but received in very poor condition

I ordered a large Hydrangea (£85), it took a few weeks to arrive which was fine as I was in no hurry, however I rejected the delivery as what came was a plant that looked mostly dead tied to a support pole, the few leaves it had were all brown and no sings of any buds at all.

I emailed to ask for a refund, but received a call a few days later asking if they can send a plant in better health instead. I said yes, but please can you send photos of it before you re deliver so I can make sure it looks ok, which they agreed to do.

after a week of no response I chased this up - I then received a fairly arrogant response to say actually we have decided to give you a refund now instead, and that in future I should pay more attention to the description and understand what is evergreen, and what is not, so that I have realistic expectations next time.

I know what a Hydrangea should look like - and the website shows very full healthy plants, it should flower by May - I ordered the plant mid April, and it arrived early May, so would certainly expect it show some signs of life and at least some buds for flowering, not just a few brown leaves.

I bought one from the local garden centre instead - its 1000 times better, and looks exactly like the one in the photo on the website that I was expecting, so I would sound caution on the quality of plants from this supplier.

Offering 2 star rather than 1 star as at least the refund came through 3 days later, as I was expecting to have to chase for this given other reviews.

Downgraded generous 2 star review to 1 star - hilariously stupid reply to the review. Reading others they seem to have had the same - assume the company is in free fall and happy to publicly destroy their own reputation 😂 feel embarrassed for them but avoid this company at all costs, terrible products and even worse customer services

We were especially interested to learn that a deciduous hydrangea shipped in early spring should apparently arrive looking like a peak-summer Chelsea Flower Show display. We’ll be sure to pass this revolutionary discovery on to nature immediately.

For clarity, the plant you received was beautiful, alive, correctly described, and entirely normal for the season — despite your dramatic description of it being “mostly dead” because it didn’t arrive covered in blooms after spending time in transit from our Italian nursery.

We nevertheless offered a replacement, agreed to your request for advance photos, and then ultimately decided that issuing a full refund was the fastest way to bring the situation to a close. Which, unlike the hydrangea, arrived promptly and without needing to be watered.

Comparing a mail-order plant to one you personally selected from a local garden centre is also a fascinating benchmark. By that logic, supermarket strawberries should look identical to the ones in professional food photography.

In any case, we’re delighted you found a hydrangea more suited to your expectations, and we genuinely wish it the very best in its new life under the care of Britain’s leading expert in seasonal plant behaviour.

Ordered star jasmine

Ordered star jasmine. Absolutely beautiful. Big , healthy plant with lots of new leaves and flower buds. Delivery took a few weeks , but that’s fine . Will definitely be ordering more things from them .

Awfull company !!!!

Awfull company !!!!! Do not trust !!!
I ordered a Musa basjoo in a 25ltr pot (128 pounds including postage )however what arrived here was a damaged ( in transit I think ) Musa in a pot so small in actually fitted inside a bucket !!!! So deffinitly not a 25 ltr pot . I was furious , so garden plants online were going to send the plant I actually ordered , just now the delivery driver turned up with a Musa basjoo in a pot that’s looks the same size as the previous one so NOT A 25ltr pot !!!! I did not accept the delivery and the driver took the inferior Musa basjoo with him that had been delivered weeks ago .If you cannot source Musa basjoo plants in 25ltr pots you should not offer them for sale!!!!! I paid for a top of the range and that is not what you providing ,
You promised to send me the plant I ordered and you have not done that . I want a full refund !!!!! You are still offering Musa basjoo in 25ltr pots for sale , can you actually source these ?????????? So I have paid good money and still have nothing .
I will in future shop at independent garden centres where I can see what I am actually buying and I can see the people I’m dealing with.

Waiting over a month

Waiting over a month for delivery of wisteria and have been told it's going to be another week after chasing for the 3rd or 4th time. I even went to the trouble of calling beforehand and checking the delivery estimate for the specific plant and species and was told it would be about 2 weeks. We're now at 5 weeks The plant had also made it from Italy over 3 weeks ago but absolutely terrible delivery process means it's just sat in their storage. I've been told I'll get a call from the manager after trying to chase this multiple times, that also did not happen.

Completely missing the wisteria bloom in the process of all this. Don't order if you're expecting your plants to arrive in a timely manner. I'm still waiting after a month.

As you advised our customer service agent and management after this matter was discussed, you could only accept the order on the 8th of May and if not then, any day following the 15th.

We advised as we couldn't deliver on the 8th, we would arrange after the 15th as per your request.

We aimed to get this order to you much sooner, however, we are a small business , not Amazon next-day service. As we explained, due to unforseen issues with transportation, this caused significant delays in our schedule. We operate with all of our own vans and drivers, not through third party and importing from our nursery in Italy to the UK can take longer depending on the case which is outlined on our website.

It is unfortunate you had to leave this review before receiving your beautiful plant. In response to this, we withdraw our offer for a discount on any next purchase as you will be better off going to a local garden centre or Amazon.

ordered a magnolia in July 2024

I ordered a magnolia in July 2024. Delivered after delay as they said it was difficult to source. Arrived in autumn so didn't realise until the spring that it was the wrong type. I was told just to keep the wrong one and they would give me free postage for the correct one.Since then they have been trying to source the correct one. Initially i was kept reasonably well updated for the first delay however in october 2025 I contacted them to ask for an update. They apologised for not getting back to me, they said there had been a major change of staff. They then said early in the new year 2026. There followed several promises of dates in april, in fact one e mail states end of spril at the latest. Finally someone told me on the phone that it would definitely be delivered on 11 may. We were getting back from holiday the day before and I wanted to be ready to receive it. We stayed in but as we hadnt heard from the delivery company or the plant company I phoned to check when it was likely to arrive. It turned out they still hadn't one in stock. When I expressed frustration they said oh we can get one to you next week! I dont understand how you can advertise a plant for sale when you don't know if you have a source. I have now asked for a refund although I havent had acknowledgement of my e mail requesting this. They got 2 stars rather than 1 star due to initial contact and Ruby was nice to deal with. The response to my review was disappointing as I felt , apart from saying the wrong plant was delivered in winter, when it was autumn( mistake on my part) my comments were correct. I didn't just off the top of my head expect to have a plant delivered the day I got back from holiday, that would be delusional. I was actually told it would be delivered that day. I hope this is finally resolved when I get my refund.

Your placed your order in July, in August as it is a quiet period we have no deliveries operating this month for a couple weeks, you received your plant in September (Autumn).

As mentioned throughout the process, sourcing living plants is inherently dependent on availability at the time of dispatch—not at the time of initial confirmation, nor at the time a delivery is optimistically anticipated after a holiday.

Magnolia sieboldii in a 125–150 cm size is a specialist ornamental shrub that is a variety harder to source but our growers were working to get this for you and replace your initial plant received.

We also note your frustration regarding updates. These were provided as and when stock information was confirmed, rather than as placeholders or assumptions.

We trust this brings the matter to a close and wish you better alignment between expectations and reality in future orders elsewhere.

Poor quality plant

Unfortunely the bougainvillea I bought arrived very pot bound, dry and the top of the pot was covered in moss. The leaves look very tired and some are brown. I sent photos and was told that the roots are healthy and moss is harmless. I’m in the trade and it’s a sign of poor plant management. I was offered a discount off my next purchase which I won’t be taking.

Their response says it all. For the record I have extensive horticultural experience.

As per our drivers photo and photos you received from ourselves, we explained to you that due to transport shock, certain plants may undergo stress at times which is normal when moving plants from our Italian nursery to the UK. Bougainvillea can be sensitive to changes in temperature, light, and watering conditions.

Yes, moss is harmless and simply develops from moisture over time. It does not indicate disease or poor plant health. We have also given advice for steps to help repot and remove leaves as new ones will continue to establish.

Our plants are sourced, grown and handled by our experienced growers in Italy, then to the UK with our drivers. You may be in ''the trade'' as a designer but your claims of ''poor plant management'' would be untrue.

We are more than happy to withdraw our offer of a discount in goodwill on a future purchase in response to this negative review as customers such as yourself are best to go to a local garden centres or Amazon.
