Horibble

Horibble. They loost our lagguage. After 2 weeks on hollidays in Thailand we have no any information. We was needed to buy new clothes on vacation- till today no compensation.
Online check in not working they charged us 120€ for seat reservation and we dont have seats that we choosed.

Shocking treatment of elderly parents

Shocking treatment of elderly parents – Turkish Airlines and Trip.com both failed us

We booked flights for my elderly parents (one diabetic and post-surgery) through Trip.com with Turkish Airlines. What followed was an absolute nightmare.

The airline changed their connecting flight without notice, left them stranded in Istanbul Airport for hours without food, water, or medical support—even after my father had a health emergency. Despite booking special assistance, they were completely neglected. I had to send a family member from the UK to Istanbul just to bring them home safely, paying for new flights and accommodation out of pocket.

To make matters worse, Trip.com refused to issue any refund, even for the flight they couldn’t take due to Turkish Airlines’ failures.

This was a horrifying and expensive ordeal that no family should ever have to go through. Avoid both Turkish Airlines and Trip.com if you value basic care, support, or customer service.

If there's a zero star rating, that's what I'll give.
We booked a return flight from Lagos to Manchester and we wanted to change the date of the return flight, would you believe Turkish Airline wanted to charge us for a full flight ticket regardless of the payment we had made for the return ticket.

Extremely disappointed with Turkish…

Extremely disappointed with Turkish Airlines. I arrived 20 minutes before departure—still within the official time frame—but the gate was already closed and staff refused to let me board. No flexibility, no assistance, no understanding. For a company that claims to offer world-class service, this was an unacceptable experience. I lost my flight and time due to poor customer service and rigid, unreasonable policies. I expected much better.

Worst airline ever

This is one of the worst airlines I’ve ever taken in my entire life. I traveled to Turkey and had to take domestic flights within the country. All flights were Turkish and all of them had some or the other issue.

Domestic flight: We are boarding the plane and just before boarding the person tells us that this baggage can’t be taken into the flight because there is no more space. I was on seat 4 and there was enough space inside the flight and atleast 50 people after me took much larger bags. I had important IDs and expensive things in the bag that if lost, I would have lost/damaged would have been at least $5k or more.

We enter the flight and my wife’s seat is broken. It doesn’t recline. We press the button and nobody cares. The stewardess came when she came ( when they had to give us food). We told her it’s broken, and she is acting like she can’t do anything. We paid extra for those seats and there is a seat empty 2 rows ahead of us and she asked her to go back. She had to fight to get to the first seat. The later the stewardess came to tell me the seat is not broken. I had to show her the alignment for 10 minutes to make her understand. None of their crew understands proper English and they have this weird smirk on their face that is very frustrating.

International flight from IST to SFO:
Their system is broken and they blamed the American immigration system that it has a separate system for non-US passports. This is not the case because I live in the US and I have traveled many times. They made us wait for 1hour in the queue and then gave us (not boarding passes) but some random transit pass that got us through the security. They did not inform us that we need to get boarding passes again after going through security. We walked all the way to our lounge (IGA) to find that our boarding pass does not work. We then had to walk all the way to their care point to get boarding passes and by that time we were already late for boarding. This whole thing took 3 hours. To add to this, none of their crew understands English, they just have a huge question mark on their face. They know only basic english to respond to FAQs. This IMO should be the minimum requirement for anyone at any International counters on any airlines. Overall the service was so bad that we went from being Happy (from our trip to Turkey) to disappointed to almost being infuriating. It seems like they have manufactured blockers to irritate the customers as much as possible.

The overall customer is so bad that I am appalled that it is even allowed to exist as an airline.

Still acting dodgy, the customer service referred me to re-fill another online applications which not recognise my case number ID:2025061100 or DDP EDITK16400
I have complained to the ADR hopefully they can stop this way of lower treatment by the gang of the turkish airlines

Terrible airline- dont do it

Terrible airline, terrible no existent customer service.
Totally do not understand how this airline is a top 10- its awful.
This was my first, and last time, wr will never fly again with them.
Flight home, pulled my lovely brand new suitcase into the departures at Bangkok airport, to collect it at Manchester missing a wheel, which had been ripped off during the journey.
The suitcase was less than 6 months old, and I had a receipt for it.
When at Manchester, there is no where to complain, so having looked online whilst waiting for our other luggage, and taking lots of photos- that clearly show the bag claim conveyor belt, we read you claim online.
To cut a long story short, only days later, I completed all the paperwork, attached the photos and all the required documents, to be advised a whole month later, that they were not paying me any damages because we never made a claim at the airport.
Absolutely ridiculous.
No one contacted me, it was a generic response.
I sent future emails, to just be told the same.
I will not fly with an airline with such poor customer service- this was a damaged bag, imagine if it was something more serious??? No thanks.
I've flown all over the world, with the top 5 airlines, and Turkish Airline will ne lucky to make top 20.
Don't do it.
So my flight cost me another £200, £100 for the suitcase to begin with that was damaged, and a further £100 to purchase a new one.
(Singapore Airlines is THE best.)

Turkish Airlines Cancels Booking Without Notice – Left Stranded at the Airport Without a Return Flight

I booked a flight with Turkish Airlines from Kuala Lumpur to Milan Malpensa with a stopover in Istanbul in October 2024 through Go to Gate. However, due to a payment issue, I missed my flight. After contacting Turkish Airlines multiple times, I was never given clear information about the cancellation. Turkish Airlines provided several false explanations, including claiming that I didn’t show up at the airport, that my booking wasn’t associated with an itinerary, an alleged unauthorized booking change, and issues with the payment.

What makes this even worse is that Turkish Airlines canceled my booking without notifying either Go to Gate or me. Go to Gate had no idea that my reservation had been canceled, and I was left in the dark, having no clue what happened until I tried to resolve the issue with both parties.

Despite months of trying to fix the situation—over six months now—Turkish Airlines has ignored my requests and provided no clear or helpful responses. Their communication has been confusing, unhelpful, and frustrating, and they've refused to give me any legal contact or relevant information. I am now considering legal action due to a potential GDPR violation.

This is a completely frustrating and disappointing experience. Turkish Airlines offers no support, ignores customer concerns, and refuses to provide any means of addressing issues through legal channels. Avoid this airline if you value transparency, honesty, and decent customer service.

We are writing to express our strong disagreement with your decision to refund only two members of our six-person group for the cancellation of flight TK0731 on January 7th, 2025. Your previous acknowledgment, following the DGCA’s investigation, confirmed the cancellation was due to operational reasons. It is therefore inconsistent and unjustifiable that you now refuse the remaining refunds, citing weather conditions—an explanation that contradicts the findings of the competent authority.

Review for Turkish Airlines Pet Service to UAE

Travelling with a dog in-cabin can be a stressful and complicated process, especially when departing from France, currently considered a high-risk country for rabies, towards UAE.
Thankfully, Turkish Airlines has an outstanding Pet Services team that truly understands the rules, needs of travellers in this situation.

Turkish airlines along along with Etihad are the only airlines which allow pets-in-cabin.

During my recent journey from Paris to Abu Dhabi (with a transit in Istanbul), I received exceptional support from the Turkish Airlines team, based in Abu Dhabi. Their professionalism, efficiency, and care made a real difference.
A very special thank you goes to Amir Sultan, who went above and beyond to assist me when I was facing confusion and delays due to misinformation from French authorities.

His prompt, calm guidance and knowledgeable support helped me navigate the process and ensured a smooth journey for both me and my dog, Oops.
I’m deeply grateful to Turkish Airlines Pet Services and especially to Mr. Amir Sultan for making what could have been a stressful experience into something so much more manageable.
The journey went far better than expected — Amir Sultan, thank you!

Also the airplance staff where so pet friendly.
Travelling with a pet to UAE – Turkish Airlines is the way.

Disgusting service I booked 5 tickets…

Disgusting service I booked 5 tickets together cost nearly 4 thousand pound 3 tickets are my children's and another adult who has no parental responsibility for my children and I have been sat with only 1 child my other children sitting quite far away from me I am told I have to pay another 75 pound to sit with my children or wait 6 hours before check in this is absolutely disgusting if booked together and seats available which they are I should be sat with my children I now have to leave my children without a parent present as I can only look after 1 as the other children been seated away from me this is totally distressing and has made my anxiety extremely worse I am absolutely dreading this flight and will never ever use turkish airlines again I do not recommend dont give a crap about customers just money grabbing greed of a company I 1 million percent do not advise anyone with children to fly with these shocking

Pas si bien que ça

J’ai l’habitude de ne voyager qu’en bagage cabine ce qui associé à l’enregistrement en ligne me permet d’éviter de faire la queue avec les gens qui mettent leur valises en soute. Au retour philippines l’enregistrement en ligne ne fonctionnait pas ce qui m’a obligé à faire 1h 1/2 de queue. De plus deux heures plus tard on m’informe que les places attribuées pour mon vol de correspondance suivant ont changé.

Worst customer experience ever

Worst customer experience ever. Never ever will i use this company. Had an emergency and was in need of changing my flight date. I was stuck in Baghdad and the Airlines customer service there refused to acknowledge me, or help me. All they said was that i had to pay 1000 dollar per person or contact the company i bought the ticket from. Avoid this company and avoid it´s staff.

Meh. I wouldn’t go out of my way to chose them

I travel with this group quite a bit, but mainly out of convenience. They’re a bit meh. Just came off a business class flight from Dublin to Istanbul (transferring on to Singapore). The seats are decent. But I got moved 3 times. I booked in online on 3B and aisle seat, however got moved to an inside seat 3A for reasons unknown at bag drop. Nothing worked at the seat, charging ports, TV, etc, so got moved again. Liquids wear spilt on my jacket in the over hand compartment (not in the air crews control) but it added to my over all disappointment of the experience. Once landed ground staff were as welcoming as a fart in a sleeping bag. This is not the first time I’ve been let down by this airline. They’re not the worst, but by far the best.

The planes are clean but the airline…

The planes are clean but the airline itself sucks. First of all, their cabin crew- rude, bossy and unwelcoming. You ask them a normal question- they answer but you can tell they hate the pax. The food? God damn it, they gave me a huge piece of bread with raw beets inside and some weird paste for breakfast and pasta full of oil. Gross af. They also broke my luggage. They just don't care at all. Absolute horror.

Worst experience ever with a horrible airline service

All started when I decided to book my flight from Istanbul to Madrid, I’ve booked a flight before I travel in 1 week, I choose the prime fly (economic). I used the app to book the flight but there was a problem in the app that doesn’t allow me to edit my name after I created the account, then I tried to contact this horrible company to help me out to edit my name in the ticket after I paid for it more than 280$ for only 1 way, and nobody’s helped me after trying with them for 3 days and I went to their head office, but they didn’t let me even enter, I went to their sales office as it was beside the head office but they were useless specially the Arab girl as she was so rude.

I called the customer service more than 6 times but every time there’s Alaf different person respond and they just try to calm me down without any help.

I submitted more than 5 feedbacks through their app, however, it didn’t work and I didn’t have enough time to keep negotiate with them, I was supposed to go to the airport before my flight date to give it the last try to get my ticket issue solved, they were not even helpful and the service there wasn’t as I expected at all, they pushed me to cancel my ticket and book another one so they can steel more money, however, I had no choice at that time so I cancelled my flight and the girl was trying to book another one for me and she said that they will deduct around 100$ from my previous ticket and I have to pay even more for the new one, after all I accepted, and then when she was booking my ticket, I wanted to give her the money in US Dollar, but she didn’t accept them as she said, she can’t accept 100$ as one paper, she asked to pay only in card and or I have to bring her the change in Turkish lira.

Finally, when I booked my ticket and I went to the airport, they didn’t allow me to get 8kg with my luggage as it was included in my flight, she forced me to pay around 132$ extra for another bag.

It’s unprofessional company with very bad customer service, with all of their equipments, they couldn’t edit my name in the flight and they are so rude with their customers
