These solid hinges are ideal for the DIY-er as they make the positioning of the gate relatively easy. The arrangement allows for the gate to be easily lifted off too.

When choosing a supplier of quality gate merchandise I am all for local business/ independent businesses over chain stores, and it was the “Gate Expectations” that caught my eye. When trawling through the website and noticing all the valuable tips and guides I realised that these people actually care. The product I ordered was a substantial pair of galvanised hinges for a door I knocked up out of scaffold boards. Needless to say that the items ordered were what was delivered the next day (standard service by all accounts) and (unlike some suppliers) these hinges came with all fixings.
All in all a good experience, solid product and if I need similar items in the future I would not hesitate to use them again.

The Elywy carport doors from this firm ("Gate Expectations") made in Meranti, have now been erected. They are straight, sturdy & true to every specification. I am well pleased with the product & service.
