I want to give a huge thanks to Sean and Liam at Woodie’s Airside for their outstanding help with purchasing my new Pro Lawn mower. From the moment I walked in, both Sean and Liam were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. They took the time to listen carefully to what I needed and patiently answered all my questions, making sure I fully understood the features and benefits of the different models.

Their expert advice was invaluable — they helped me choose the perfect mower tailored exactly to my lawn care needs and budget. Throughout the entire process, their kindness and genuine willingness to help really stood out. It’s rare to find such a combination of knowledge and excellent customer service these days.

Thanks to Sean and Liam, what could have been a confusing and stressful purchase turned into a smooth, easy, and even enjoyable experience. I’m absolutely delighted with my new Pro Lawn mower and feel confident I made the right choice.

I highly recommend Woodie’s Airside to anyone looking for quality products and fantastic, personal service. Sean and Liam truly went above and beyond, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their help!

I had to get a few stuff that I wasnt sure about. There were these young staff named Sean and David who were very attentive and taking their time to help me. On my way home, I realized I left my Iphone in Woodies Sandyford. I was lucky bumping into Sean and David again..they found my Iphone on one of the shelves. I couldnt thank them enough for their excellent service today. I will definately be coming back to Woodies Sandyford because I know I will be taken care off.

We are very disappointed with our experience at Woodies Kitchen Design in Tallaght. We attended two design appointments and made changes during the second visit, which slightly increased the cost — something we were happy to pay to get the kitchen we truly wanted. Once we approved the final design, we were required to pay the full amount upfront.

Woodies recommended a builder for installation. As he began assembling the kitchen, we realized the wrong design had been sent — the original version, not the final one we had approved, comproising the functionality of the kitchen. We discussed this with Woodies to solve it and we finally were told the final design wasn’t possible due to plumbing limitations.

This is unacceptable. Woodies claims the site was assessed before the final changes, but they should have reassessed it after the updated design was agreed — before taking full payment. It was their responsibility to ensure the final design could be built.

We’ve paid nearly €12,000 plus €4,000 for assembly and are not getting the kitchen we planned. Woodies has not offered any alternative solution or compensation for their error.

This has caused serious frustration and disappointment. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Woodies Kitchen.

Excellent customer service from Linda when I rang and got great customer information about a product I needed urgently. Linda was fantastic and when I found out it was available in Woodies I popped in later that day and delighted to meet Linda who went above and beyond to help me. I’ll definitely be back and I hope the positive feedback is relayed to Linda.

Today at Woodies Wexford I had the best encounter with Gerry at the Reception area . He was professional and courteous( as always I can vouch for this conduct over many years) however today I was searching for a particular object which had not been delivered . Gerry was more than helpful and I secured my new barbque that I have waited for a very long time . The main reason my first port of call for Woodies items is because staff are always helpful and courteous. I need to mention Karen who indeed helped greatly on my last visit

I recently bought a kitchen from Woodie’s in Castlebar and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Being able to view the kitchen units in-store was really helpful, and booking an appointment with Abaigeal made the process even better—she was fantastic to deal with. Everything was smooth and efficient, and I received a professional kitchen design very quickly. The new kitchen has made cleaning, storing, and cooking so much easier. I would highly recommend Woodie’s to anyone considering a new kitchen.

Purchased paint and items I woodies yesterday, takeing advantage of the seniors discount day ,spent apx 100e.we were unsure about the shade of a larger paint purchase,so we also bought a tester for the same colour,at the till we asked if the tester was to dark could we swap the paint the following day for a lighter shade,same product just lighter shade ,same price point,e were told no problem.
We found the shade to dark as suspected,so I returned early the following morning to replace the paint for a lighter shade,I explained to the very helpful lady at the payment desk,I was told no problem,I went into the shop to pick up the REPLACEMENT paint and one extra small item,when I returned to the payment fest the helpful lady had issues doing the swap on the receipt I had given her,the replacement paint was coming up as full price ,not the senior day discount price,I was relaxed and had no issues waiting ,and happy to chat about the rain,this lady asked another member of staff to assist,the other staff member ,I stood and smiled,I was then told WEll IAm DOING You A FAVOUR,this was said with a dreadful tone of contemt,I did not ask for any favour I just wanted to replace like for like ,as I was told the previous day I could.
I felt very embarrassed with other customers standing close.
I normally shop in homebase but unfortunately there now closed ,and always found the staff courteous and friendly.
I have to plans to return to woodies Waterford.I have worked in retail for many years,and would never speak in a similar way to a customer.
I look forward to the pending opening of the Waterford BQ store.

I bought a Kitchen from Woodies, had to pay up front and was promised that any issues would be tended to promptly. The kitchen was delivered the day before fitting but one part of it was not delivered or fitted. Over two weeks later I am struggling to elicit a response from them let alone any action to supply and fit or finish the installation. I am spending my time chasing them and getting nowhere. They are a disaster !! I am sorry I dealt with them at all.

What makes Woodies different is the customer care. They always take time to understand your queries and point you in the right direction if they don't stock the product. Very friendly and professional. Great team. Love shopping here.

Disgraceful after sales service. My wife bought a De Walt drill for me for an urgent job at home and the drill bit got jammed with the first use. She returned it looking for a replacement and Woodies told her to take it over to a workshop to get it fixed! Absolutely unbelievable. She left it with them but I will be calling Consumer Rights and dropping in myself to get a replacement or refund. One star is being generous.
Update: 17/4/25
I arrived into Woodies today and although there was another mix-up with the repaired drill, the lady at the customer service said this level of service was unacceptable and offered me a replacement drill. The other staff members I encountered were also very helpful. Redeemed in my eyes and I have updated the rating.

A lovely lad called Jake in the athlone store helped myself and my friend to pick some paint..gave us great advice and the type of brushes to use..Great customer service..Woodies are lucky to have him

Went in looking for 2 items. I would have been there all day looking myself. A lovely member of staff helped me to find in five minutes. Excellent service 🙂

my 22 month old Hyundai 4-stroke lawnmower started flooding last month. I phoned Woodies to get a new carburetor as the needle and seat are worn ( real bad quality ). They told me they dont keep spares, to contact Hyundai. Hyundai Ireland told me they have nothing to do with garden equipment. I tracked down the Hyundai Garden agent in the UK and they also do not stock spares.
I then called Woodies HQ and the CEO's secretary promised to follow up. After 2 weeks she told me the agents are bringing in a carburetor for me, but its on a boat and they cannot estimate when it will arrive.
Its terribly poor service. I cannot wait for God only knows how long before i mow my lawn, so i have had to order a carburetor at huge cost from another UK company who happen to have a compatible carburetor.

I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM WOODIES AGAIN.

Great experience in the shop ; ladies were very helpful and efficient . Within few minutes I found what I was looking for with assistance of Sara,Geidre and Mary ( employees in Woodies, Blackpool,Cork)

Faulty basin taps purchased in Woodies, Tramore Road Cork. I called to the store today to exchange them for working taps. The guy I met at customer service was appalling. What a job I had to exchange them for working taps. When he came back to the counter with the new replacement taps, he turned his back to me and checked the new taps and then turned and gave them to me. I then went to check the taps for myself and he said he had already checked them. I still checked them for myself. Would he have been satisfied to spend €45 for an insufficient product!!!

Very rude staff . I came in at 545 on Saturday . I had 4 staff approaching me and in rude manner saying that tills are closing . 5 announcements were made literally kicking people out . Very rude staff and felt very unwelcome

The young staff in woodies in Mullingar on a Saturday are a joke. Very bad attitudes with no work ethic. Would put you off going there anytime even with the extreme prices of the items.
A disgrace.

I am deeply frustrated over failure to deliver my online order and complete lack of customer service I have experienced regarding my order placed on the 7th of March. While I understand that delivery issues can occasionally arise, what has been most disappointing is the complete absence of genuine follow-through or accountability from your team.

My order consisted of four items (two desks and two panels), and what started as a standard online purchase has turned into an exhausting ordeal. After countless calls and messages, I have still only received three of the four items paid for, and despite numerous assurances from multiple representatives, I am still waiting for the final item to be delivered.

The repeated failures in communication and delivery have been beyond frustrating:

1. The original promised delivery date was missed without any proactive update from your team.
2. I was assured that my items would arrive the following working day—yet three of the four items were NOT delivered.
3. When a partial delivery finally took place, even the driver acknowledged that one item was still missing but had no idea where it was.
4. Multiple representatives have promised to personally oversee the matter, yet each time, nothing happens. Calls are not returned, and assurances are given without any real action.

What is most disheartening is the complete lack of outreach or apology from Woodies regarding these ongoing issues. The only resolution offered so far has been a refund of my delivery charge after my second complaint. However, 22 days later, I am still left waiting for the item I paid for.

This situation could have been avoided if just one of the representatives I spoke with had followed through on their promise. Whether it was ensuring the item was included in the next delivery, confirming that the depot had my complete order, or simply making the effort to call me back as promised—it is evident that there has been a repeated breakdown in customer service.

At this point, I am not looking for another empty promise of a callback or a vague assurance that my item will arrive "soon." I simply want my last item delivered as soon as possible. I would greatly appreciate a concrete resolution to this matter, along with a clear commitment from your team that in future they will actually follow through on their verbal commitment to personally oversee the issue.

UPDATE 3/4/25: Thank you for the gift card Woodies and for delivering my missing item yesterday. I have added 2 more stars to my initial rating of my experience.
