I am extremely disappointed with the way my return and refund have been handled by the Wickes Slough branch.

I purchased a door on 15/07/2026 (order 700673294) and returned it to the Slough store just a few days later because it was no longer required.

The member of staff who received the door refused to process the return herself and told me that this had to be dealt with by her manager. I asked for a receipt or any written confirmation that the door had been returned, but I was told that this was apparently not part of Wickes’ process.

I was then told that the refund information would be communicated to the manager via WhatsApp. The employee even called the manager and gave them the details over the phone.

I was extremely uncomfortable with this process because I was leaving the store with no receipt, no return confirmation and no proof whatsoever that Wickes had accepted the door back.

Unfortunately, my concerns were justified. Weeks later, I still have not received my refund.

This is simply unacceptable. Wickes has taken possession of the door, but I am still waiting for my money, with no proper documentation and no satisfactory explanation.

For a major UK retailer, I find the handling of this return extremely poor and completely unprofessional. The experience at the Slough branch has seriously damaged my confidence in Wickes.

I would strongly recommend keeping very careful records when returning anything to this store, as my experience shows how problematic it can become when you are not provided with proof of return.

I expect Wickes to resolve this immediately and refund the money owed to me.

Jasvinder Pattar of Wickes Slough was so lovely and helpful when she came initially to our home to measure and discuss our requirements. She is very knowledgeable and patient also. Looking forward to the showroom visit.

Kitchen was fitted by Sabar and colleague, arranged via Slough Wickes. They were prompt and professional and skilfully dealt with some tricky fitting challenges; very polite and helpful in lots of small ways.
The Wickes system generated some confusion over delivery dates but the Wickes customer liaison people sorted this out straightaway. They were reassuringly responsive.

I am at the store. I wanted to buy fence capping. There are 52 in stock but there is no forklift operator to take it from the top of the piles in the stockpile. I am leaving empty handed.
Otherwise really polite staff and good prices.

I recently bought a kitchen from the Wickes store, and I want to thank Sakib Ahmed for his excellent service. From the initial design consultation to completing the purchase, he was professional, friendly, and very helpful. He listened to our requirements, gave honest advice, and worked within our budget without any pressure. His knowledge and courteous approach made the whole process easy and enjoyable.
Although we had some issues with the delivery, the service we received from Sakib was outstanding throughout. He was always willing to help and answered our questions promptly. He is a real credit to the Wickes Slough team, and I would highly recommend him to anyone planning a new kitchen.

Sakib is a very committed and thorough individual who takes time to go through your particular project and advises you accordingly. I have used him for 3 different bathroom projects and feel that he always has the customer interest at the heart of his appointments .

Had an appointment with Jason Fox, in all fairness there wasn’t an awful lot that could be done to change the layout of our current kitchen, nevertheless his knowledge & ideas were great and it was definitely a worthwhile experience 👍🏼

We ordered a new kitchen with Sakib Ahmed at the Slough store

The kitchen was delivered on time and fitted by Kris and we are very happy with our purchase

Used Wickes Slough for the supply of our bathroom equipment. Sakib came out to see our bathrooms to discuss what we wanted. He was very helpful with what would work and gave us some great advice regarding design, materials and products. Products all good quality and any issues we had were resolved with customer services. Very happy with our end result.

My appointment with sakib Ahmed it was such a waste of time. Don’t tell him you want the cheapest range as he won’t even bother with you. One men loss in another one treasure. I have been across the road to Howdens and because of their exceptional customer service I’m happy to increase my budget to 20k and will order from them. Thanks to you Sakib

I ordered 10 bags of Suburban Stone Panda Gravel - Major Bag. I only received 8 bags.

They said they would refund for the missing 2 bags.
It's now been 15 days with no refund yet.

Update: I got the refund so I'm happy now.

The person who made this experience so good was Sakib Ahmed, he designed the kitchen I required, gave me a lot of choices by showing examples of materials. He was very experienced in knowing what would go together and my final design was better than I had envisaged. Well done Wickes.

Complete home renovation. Booked in with Sakib for a new kitchen. I kept changing my mind but he was very patient. He was extremely helpful, guided me throughout the whole process and kept in touch during the installation. Kitchen looks amazing. Extremely happy. Highly recommend Sakib.

Do not get your bathroom done with Wickes. If you do expect separate delivered for nearly each item - if you don’t work from home it would be so difficult to manage.

It’s so difficult to get hold of
Your customer service point of contact and when you do they give incorrect information.

I couldn’t use an item from the furniture. I had to remind them twice for it to be collected. They didn’t bother to remove from my end bill or finance. To was over a thousand pounds. In the end I had to go to the store on my day off to sort out as the customer service team ignored me

The only good people were the fitters who are contractors and the design consultant.

Jason Fox was our design consultant and he came up with some super ideas to maximise on the space we had.

Complaint raised 6th November… still no response

From start to finish we had an excellent experience with getting a new kitchen. Sakib Ahmed did a great job on the design and guiding us through the process. Delivery was efficient, on time and good communication.
Sabar Ali was a brilliant kitchen fitter. The kitchen looks great, he and Jes were always on time, they communicated well with us and kept their work areas clean. Their attention to detail means that we have a really well fitted kitchen. Would definitely use them again. Superb workmanship.
