Wickes - Hedge End Recensioni 

Upon deciding that we needed a new kitchen my husband looked at the units in Wickes and was impressed with the quality. Subsequently we made an appointment and Joe came along to measure our kitchen. He drew up a plan and although we changed our minds several times he acted with great patience and understanding. We would certainly recommend speaking to Joe if you need a new kitchen.

Always polite, knowledgeable and helpful. If Tim is in store, he often remembers my previous visits and asks on my success.

Had an issue with a damaged delivery, had to call into Hedge End store twice. Both times helped by Luis ops mgr. could not fault his help and attitude.

Brilliant service from Gary. Very helpful and friendly, thanks Gary I will be back.

Amelia B is a credit to the team at Wickes, every time we have been into store she has gone out of her way to help us…her level of knowledge of products is excellent. We left the store with confidence in our purchases thanks to Amelia B

I went into obtain a refund because I had purchased the wrong size light bulb for kitchen spot lights. I was served by Gary Postans who could not have been more helpful and friendly. He was very knowledgeable and gave some good advice, whilst at the same time providing a refund without any issues at all. Thank you Gary for great service and professionalism.

Purchased tiles today and was offered a trade discount by amelia b , a few simple questions and proofs of trade and received an unexpected discount .

We needed advice on a couple of things. Gary was really helpful, knowledgeable and cheerful as well as being very professional which makes a big difference in this day & age ! Very grateful to you Gary for going the extra mile with customer service, whatever you’re paid isn’t enough ;-) !!

My daughter needed her bathroom stripped out and replaced in her house. After several quotes we chose Wickes to carry out the work.

We found Lee Miller very professional, helpful and he gave great guidance though out the project process. This included several redesigns. He worked well with the project contractor and helped when we had some return items that we did not need.

**Update - 3 days since they responded to say they have requested more information I have not received any such request**
It’s taken me months to write a review because I have been so frustrated and angry with Wickes I couldn’t face writing it all down.

Myself and my husband had our kitchen done earlier in the year and there were a catalogue of failings on Wickes behalf.

Our kitchen took a MONTH to complete. Initially we had issues with moving the stopcock - never made aware this would be an issue during planning. Other bits cropped up that required more funds but this was ok and the fitters dealt with quickly. When finally nearing completion and the fitters went to fit the sink. There was NO sink ordered (we had moved in with my parents whilst the kitchen was done). Upon querying this with our design consultant as we chose our sink in store during our planning appointment he insisted on the phone that it was on the paperwork for things we needed to order ourselves for collection in store or delivery (our tiles and flooring had to be done separately this way) after I sent him the paperwork and told him it was not on there and we chose it with him he emailed back with “ I cannot recall the conversation on the sink, but it was either you had seen a sink elsewhere that you wanted to buy or use your existing sink. I only ever draw a picture of a sink if a request has been made for a sink I don't sell as it's easier for me to put an actual sink in my design.” A complete contradiction to being sure that it was on the list of bits to order ourselves.

We never saw a sink elsewhere and if he “could not recall the conversation” where was this plucked from? And as for using our existing sink. Our previous sink was silver stainless steel - we had ordered new gold taps with our kitchen to go with our new WHITE sink!!! Why would we a.) order gold taps to go with a silver stainless steel sink b.) spend £15,000 on a kitchen just to use our old stainless steel sink.

After this, we were told wickes could “only help with the price” if we chose one available in store. Again, I’m not spending £15,000 on a kitchen to then buy a sink I don’t want. Seeing as this was wickes own mistake really they should have covered the cost of the sink regardless as this then prevented the fitters from finishing and the following week they moved to a new job and could only fit the sink later on. Whilst emailing the design consultant regarding the sink he also stated “Sorry, I would call back but I’ve got customers” - really insulting considering we were also current customers!

Wickes also ordered the wrong size “oven filler” for the top of our stacked ovens. We waited ages for a replacement that never turned up and had to be reordered, when the one that was reordered eventually turned up it was the wrong colour. This then had to be ordered AGAIN.

Throughout all of this my husband had spoken to the customer service team and they assured him it was being looked into but before they could offer any kind of compensation it needed to be investigated by the store manager at hedge end. The customer experience person also emailed to say they were forwarding an email we had sent to the design consultant to “discuss further and reach a resolution on the you”. Following this all we got from the design consultant was “something went wrong here and i apologise for that. Hopefully the kitchen is looking good so far”. We have NEVER heard anything back regarding the “in store investigation” or any compensation for the whole thing to this day.

We ended up moving back in before the tiling was finished and the fitters had to come back to do this. We got in and found the dishwasher wouldn’t open because the board underneath hadn’t been adjusted to allow for the integrated dishwasher to open - the fitters were very good at coming back to solve this and some other bits.

With three young kids and both working we felt like Wickes would be a great choice as they seemed to take care of everything for you. Not the case at all and would not recommend using them.

My bathroom designer Nicky was fantastic from the moment I met her. Nothing was too much trouble and she worked with me to design my luxury bathroom which I am thrilled with. I would recommend Nicky to anyone lthat is looking for a new bathroom to be installed. Thankyou Nicky,if I am looking for anything else I will come back to you. . Pam

We went in for a meeting with the most excellent design consultant Nicky Gibbons, she walked us through all the options and designed the perfect kitchen for us, she has been at the end of the phone if we have had any questions, which has made the whole process seamless. I would highly recommend a Wickes kitchen and especially one designed by Nicky Gibbons. Many thanks to Nicky from Chris and Sarah

I’m absolutely thrilled with the kitchen designed by Nicky Gibbons. She listened carefully to my needs and created a beautiful, functional space that exceeded my expectations. After contacting him at Hedge End, I was able to make an appointment to see him on the Saturday Morning first thing for a kitchen design. We arrived a few minutes early for our appointment and were warmly welcomed by Chris Browne. We had no idea of what we were looking for but throughout the design process Chris showed us some options that would benefit the overall design of the new purpose built Kitchen. At no time were we rushed and it was no trouble to switch between ideas which we did a number of times. With Chris's help we were able to proceed with ordering before we left and he has kept us informed in the whole process so far.

I recently visited the Wickes Store at Hedge End to buy a new kitchen for my elderly father. I cannot praise the staff enough. Sam and Nicky were so helpful with the purchase of the kitchen and everything was dealt with professionally and with a smile. I would definitely use Wickes again.

Needed a bunch of accessories to furnish a kitchen we had purchased for my Father in law. Had a huge help from Sam(who turned out to be the Hedge End store manager). Made the order so easy and she was so helpful with advice. Highly recommend using this store.

Purchased a new kitchen for my father in law. Fantastic assistance from Nicky planning and ordering everything we needed. Made our lives so much easier. Definitely a one stop shop when we need to replace our own. Great quality kitchen too and with a discount sale the price was great. Highly recommend the service provided by very knowledgeable staff.

Went in, with my 87yr old mother to buy tiles for her bathroom (she insisted we should go to Wickes, Hedge End). Sam, who helped us was great, answered all questions, very helpful and friendly. WhatI expected to be a nightmare experience wasn't! Good service ..
oh - and well located disabled parking.

Luis was so helpful! He lifted the heavy bags of adhesive I needed and put them in the car boot for me which was such a relief.
