We would like to thank James Clark at the Colchester branch for getting our ideas and putting them to paper first time. He was very patient and spent a lot of time understanding what we wanted. Would recommend James for your kitchen design.

We bought a kitchen from the Colchester store.

We had AJ Thomas as our kitchen designer and she was really helpful. Not only with the plan we did and designed, she also gave helpful suggestions and tweaks so we got the exact kitchen we wanted.

She was very friendly and has offered her help in the future when the kitchen we’ve ordered gets fitted. Thank you very much.

John that came out to Design the kitchen was great.

Everything he designed was spot on .

We went to Wickes, Colchester after a terrible experience with another kitchen company. We wasn't hassled in anyway at wickes. We approached a kitchen designer who was Andrew Lovlee and explained what we wanted, he soon got it up on his design programme and was able to show us the design what we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble even showing us the different designs, colours and different ideas to what we had. His knowledge is amazing. After some adjustments we have now ordered our new kitchen on 13th February 2025, which is to be delivered shortly. Please may I take this time to say what a credit Andrew is to Wickes, Colchester. I purchased a Wickes kitchen from here at the weekend. I was guided through the design and specifications by James Clark, one of the design consultants and I was very impressed with the whole process. The team have thus far been fantastic there. James had a wealth of technical knowledge and design possibilities which really helped my initial designs become a reality. Happily completed the purchase now and awaiting delivery. With additional contact details provided in case I have any queries or concerns, I feel the after care has been very good so far also. Thanks James for your hard work. Very much appreciated and will definitely recommend.

I found the design consultant (John McCormick) very helpful and was able to offer useful suggestions. The fitters were always punctual, they were polite, they endeavoured to cause as little disruption as possible, and the work was completed to a very high standard.

I was looking to buy a new kitchen from Wickes; and met with AJ - who provided an excellent service to me from beginning to end; in selecting my kitchen, designing the layout, obtaining the best value for money - and was extremely helpful and informative. I was very pleased with the outcome.

Andrew did such a great job in designing our kitchen that we came back for our bathroom designs. His attention to detail and excellent advice for both rooms was superb. No pressured upselling and a very clear and transparent costing. Highly recommended!

Myself and my wife's first time attempting to get a new kitchen. Couldn't have asked for an easier experience. Andrew was super helpful, he helped us build our new kitchen and nothing was too much effort for Andrew. We even changed the layout of our kitchen which Andrew helped us with. We have walked away with a new kitchen and we both couldn't be happier. Thankyou very much Andrew for all your efforts in coming out to us to measure up and give us ideas. To presenting us with our new kitchen. First class service so far. Kitchen install next and we can't wait.

We went to wickes Colchester and made appointment for a kitchen advisor to visit us Andrew Lovlee came out to design our kitchen, we then went in store and he brought it up on the computer it was excellent explained everything 10/10 many thanks

Spent 50 Mins looking at Kitchens, Bathrooms, Flooring collected a load of brochures tried to speak to a kitchen adviser but they were pre-occupied!
Decided to leave it until later as we still have a few months of building works to go!
Now find out its 45 mins Parking limit!
Got a ticket for £95.....
Wont be going back there again ever!

Marginal update…
Still incensed by the way this company outsources its ridiculous 45 minute visit window to its store I returned to tell the Kitchen team they could kiss any chance of an order of a Kitchen, Bathroom, En Suite as a result!

Suddenly, a positive response from the store team was to take the ticket and immediately send a cancellation email to the enforcement company in an attempt to stop yet another loss of a significant sale!

All the other stores in the area operate a 2-4 hour stay for shoppers however Wickes Colchester clearly prefer this ridiculous 45 minute limit with ANPR enforcement or you can actually book a longer stay On-line!

Clearly this tactic is to discourage those that choose to wait in the Wickes Car Park for people arriving at Colchester Station.
45 Mins is a completely unrealistic time limit and they know it, but are however prepared to reverse any excess charges made at their discretion.

Hopefully my “Fine” has actually been rescinded but I only have the word of the Customer Assistance member at the helpdesk on the day.

Alas the tactics of this company are notorious.
So I will continue to pursue alternative suppliers until I have all other possible suppliers quotes in before asking Wickes to quote again.

So far the £57 parking levy has cost Wickes around £15,000 in lost sales from a single customer!
You really need to review your policy at this location for certain!

Bathroom installation completed 18 months ago and we were very happy with the work. Unfortunately we discovered a leak when the toilet was flushed and reported it to Wicks as it was still under guarantee. Photo sent and they agreed to send someone to fix it. 2 months later still waiting. 30 minutes getting through to customer service and 3 unanswered emails and still waiting. A good bathroom but good luck if something goes wrong.

We couldn't be happier, he was extremely professional and knowledgeable of all the kitchen designs and options and even managed to get us exactly what we wanted for within our budget.

After services for kitchen and bathrooms is pretty non existent. Cannot get through to the co-ordinators for two weeks at a time and customer services line never picks up.

Andrew Lovlee from the Colchester branch has helped me to design my new bathroom. I am extremely happy with the design and the advice from Andrew and I am very much looking forward to it being installed. In November, I accompanied my mum to the Colchester Wickes store and had a consultation with Andrew Lovlee about getting a new bathroom fitted.

I cannot fault Andrew at all. From the start he proved himself to be very knowledgable and was very patient with the million and one questions we had for him. He walked us around the showroom to show us different options and let us see which ones would look best in our bathroom design. Even when we doubted our bathroom measurements, Andrew managed to make it work. He was extremely polite and welcoming. We left our consultation feeling confident, understanding fully the process of choosing Wickes and everything that came with getting a bathroom installation done with them.

We had gotten quotes from other places, however Andrews exceptional customer service swayed us towards choosing Wickes for my mums bathroom installation.

Wow of a kitchen! From the visit by Wickes Design Consultant John McCormick, to the completion of the kitchen install, everything went 100% as planned. Including great work by Wickes' install company, DLR of Colchester. John and DLR's Daron, had lots of creative ideas and improvements to add to our basic plan. The install team of DLR's Mick and Wickes' Amber were so efficient, clean and perfectionists. Normally it is a pain having builders 'intrude' in your home, however, we looked forward to their prompt arrival each day to be impressed by their work. What really made the work 'efficient' and without delays, was DLR (Mick) carried out all the tiling, electrics, plumbing, carpentry, unit assembly, machine installing and finishing. Assisted by Amber who was such a non-stop worker. Not many believed we could have our granite tops removed temporarily and replaced in the new Wickes kitchen.

We were advised by Andrew Lovlee in Wicks Colchester store today with regards to updating our en-suite bathroom. Andrew was very helpful with his ideas and graphics and we are happy to have purchased a new bathroom and cannot wait to have it installed. Thank you Andrew.

John McCormick was very helpful at my initial visit in designing the type of units I required and where they would be placed. We then chose the type of units and suitable worktops. Tony Moorfoot was the installer and meticulous in checking all the component parts on arrival. This continued as he virtually single- handedly,apart from electrical installations, installed all my units and completed the tiling.
