My energy advisor referred me to lightening reach. They referred me to this organisation.

Wot an awful service. I felt like iv been on a conveyrr brlt bring spoken to from a script. Lots of word salad.

Distressing , humiating and no focus on the individual.

I have neuro diverse SN and need reasonable adjusgments but they just kept telling me thst they can offer support. I adked several times wot support they can offer but they like poloticians and just dnt answer that question.

How upsetting going thru that

Right we're do i start here first thing im sure there should not be 10 people in a 3 bedroomed house 4 adults and 5 kids and all kids under 5 years old my daughter in law having to sleep on a sofa with a 4 year old and a baby due in 3 weeks time and still only band b and been bidding for over 4 years how the hell does this stupid system work I think my best bet is to take matters further

Cannabis

I phoned vico homes to report my new neighbour smoking cannabis,and the smell of cannabis coming through into my flat downstairs and all I got told is I will pass it on to the housing manager and she will be in contact which I'm still waiting.I went to my friends on the 4.12.25 very upset and crying so she phoned the council and I'm still waiting for a phone call the smell is that bad downstairs in my flat and I'm sure they wouldn't like it In there houses next option is police

Extortionate rent rates

Extortionate rent chargers. Supposed to be affordable housing but you end up paying greatly above affordable and then when you can't keep up with the rent as the bump it up at every opportunity they feel it's OK to threaten with eviction. Paying double the rent for one extra room in comparison to the council's more acceptable rent rates is absolute greed. You should be ashamed of yourselves Vico!

WDH was completely ineffective in addressing harassment from a neighbour that persisted nearly every day for almost three years, despite my repeated civil and lawful attempts to log, record, report, and contact WDH about the situation. The harassment included excessively loud bass-heavy music, extremely loud bangs, shouting, and drug-related activity—incidents that both my girlfriend and I experienced firsthand. Despite this, WDH took no meaningful action to stop it.

Ultimately, we were forced to move out to escape the ongoing harassment, as WDH refused to take action against the offending tenant or provide any lawful resolution. We were left to manage the situation ourselves after WDH stated that opening additional cases would not result in any enforcement.

Furthermore, WDH threatened us with eviction instead of addressing the neighbour’s behaviour. Their estate officers failed to enforce any measures against antisocial behaviour, and instead suggested that we were “going around in circles” simply for seeking relief from repeated harassment by a drug-involved, antisocial adult.

WDH consistently downplayed the severity of the harassment, referencing unrelated minor incidents to minimize the impact of our experience. Despite repeated complaints, WDH repeatedly failed to issue “Letters Before Action” to the offending neighbour, as they had committed to doing over the years.

Vico homes taking over wdh or just a name change.. got planning permission for decking around 2015 through WDH and all got passed with no problems, now vico homes telling us we have to remove it due to no permission and apparently a fire risk and no hand rail.... Where do these people get their information from

Vico/WDH. Tenants, don't bother trying to do the right thing

Well you try to do the right thing & save this company time & money, then you get the bad mark. I just rang to rearrange my gas service, but because I'm not available until 5 days after the appointment YOU chose for me YOU decide it has to go down as me being OUT when you visited!!! Next time I know I WILL BE OUT I WON'T BOTHER TELLING YOU. YOU NEED TO SORT OUT YOUR SYSTEM

I agree with the below comment I have been neglected beyond belief I have been attacked in the street by other tenants and a baught property ex tenant, I have had no support at all with moving away from these people I have 2 years worth of evidence against these people and nothing has been done I'm hoping with the change to vico home name also staff has been changed the estate officer is useless and so is the police officer who deals with our area for community issues . Sort it out . I have been threatened today and criminal damage

15 Months later and you FINALLY offer to help us... TOO LITTLE - TOO LATE

Hi there.
I'm surprised that you aren't all not too busy to reply to my review.
Send you more information and you'll look into it for me - "FANTASTIC".
It is just a shame that you could not have offered this back in 2023:
When the P.I.V fitted by your "organisation" to our property first showed signs of failing and we were using 516% more electicity than usual.
When our monthly electricity bills; jumped from under £100.00 per month to £300.00 per month and remained there until you finally came and shut it off.
When we were taking daily readings of temperatures with a Thermal-Imaging Camera and Digital Thermometers and while you assured us that these items were giving us inaccurate readings and "everything was wonderful" with the little P.I.V unit.
On two occasions - (Not one occasion) during 2024/2025; we received letters from you; as our landlord, which indicated that you could have done more to help us - but didn't.
During the timeframe, when these issues were occurring; I took readings of the defective systems on morning and nightly occurrences and sent this information to your "Organisation". Our data was questioned at every single turn and no support was provided.
Our findings questioned by your authorised persons, your staff almost killing themselves during attempts to look at the unit, because they were uncertain as to precisely where it was connected to.Two warm-home-discounts, suppled by the government, eaten up because we fell so far into arrears with our energy provided, while trying to get the slightest incline of hep from your "organisation".
Luckily the P.I.V unit is now disconnected from our mains supply and to be completely honest, I don't care if the place falls down around us because of damp, mould and dondensation - Everyone died eventually, but when I am gone, the property will still be a damp-riddled, mould infested pile of falling down bricks and mortar, but you will go on - Not as WDH or Walt-Disney Homes, but as Vico homkes (Aren't we all just blessed"?
Charging high rates of weekly rent, blaming outdated computers for taking finances that are due on the Monday of each week on the Sunday of each week. For "botching" repair jobs; to the state whereby even your own staff fail to identify points of connection.
I have read the "blurb" from your Mr. Shaw, where he assures us that there will be no changes to the levels of service provided by you; post name-change and to be quite honest, this is what scares me most of all.
We get no support under the W.D.H flag, so why should the all-new Vico-Homes be any different?
As I stated within my most recent posting: I urge any and all tenants, either under the W.D.H or Vico-Homes Flags; to check their Positive Input Ventilation (P.I.V) units, produced by Envirovent and ensure that they are not being charged to excess, as we were because of this item. They may well be working within acceptable parameters, but they could also be costing you far-more than you assume.
We were assured by representatives of W.D.H, that this item was in working-order, but working for whom?
Us as the tenant, or them as the landlord?

We have a hedge that runs along the…

We have a hedge that runs along the roadside. It is only cot once a year and grows all over the place,over the footpath and looks a mess. We have to request every year for them to come and cut it. We have just asked if we can remove it and erect a fence.their reply is NO. They want you to be proud of your area but wont let you do something to improve it. Hypocritical.

Amazing Service

Kathryn, Allison and Claire made the house purchase so easy and straight forward. They were always friendly , helpful and patient. They made the whole process a joy and thanks to them I am enjoying my new home in Yorkshire.

Don't trust wdh

Been bidding for years told I'm adequately housed I know some people got offered a property they were adequately housed also if you have come into this country they get priority different staff tell you different stories

Learn from my mistake, Don't buy from WDH

We bought a home from WDH on the Shared Ownership Scheme. Here's just a few reasons why you should NOT do the same: disrepair issues caused injury the first day we moved in, door came off hinges, garden full of half buried rubbish, drug paraphernalia that could have caused infection or injury. The house next door is rented out by WDH and we have now experienced years of antisocial behaviour due to their tenants - drug crime, abuse, mental and physical harm which needed medical help. It has just been constant and is still continuing. It has very nearly driven me to suicide, and the fact is I have a life-threatening disease and might not be alive much longer anyway - so why continue to live like this? Everyday lived in fear that the WDH tenants are going to hurt me again. Trying to stay strong is really hard, especially because WDH's "robust" policy to deal with antisocial behaviour is not worth the paper it is written on. One warning was given for a full year of antisocial behaviour, so bad that we had to leave our home on multiple occasions because we were not safe. If anything WDH's intervention only made things worse, that seems to be the intention. WDH refuse to evict and I am left living in close proximity to people who have threatened further harm and even told me how they will do it. Have been begging for help for so long, all WDH do is make excuses for their tenants, fail to take meaningful or proportionate action against their tenants for breaches of tenancy, WDH refused to attend incidents when requested, then claim that there is no evidence after they have refused to attend and gather any. They tell fairy stories like, "proportionate action will be taken where antisocial behaviour can be evidenced." It's a fairy story because what you discover is no matter how much evidence you provide, it is never enough. There's always another excuse for why they can't act. And in the meantime vulnerable people are being left to suffer. WDH offered to buy our house back from us as a solution, but then offered us £30,000 less than the property is worth. We had our house valued independently so can prove this. It feels like WDH's solution is to take advantage of an extremely ill woman in desperate circumstances. Learn from my mistake - don't buy from WDH. Every review I have left about our negative experience of WDH Shared Ownership has been removed, so don't expect this one to be here for very long. WDH are very good at silencing vulnerable people less powerful than they are.

I reported some broken flags in my back…

I reported some broken flags in my back garden as a tripping hazard as I’ve mobility problems and I’m very happy the work was efficiently completed the same week, also a very rusty metal back door disabled hand rail I reported at the same time due to sharp metal pieces being a hazard as well and again the handrail was rubbed smooth with an angle grinder and painted so I wouldn’t cut myself on it. Can’t praise WDH enough for them considering my mobility issues and the polite workmen carrying out the work very well 10/10. Can’t remember the exact date so I’d say a couple of months ago.

Well since we filed this report in due to the fact the anti social behaviour team wasn't doing anything about this nuisance neighbour an now it's gone to the ombudsmen team. This nuisance neighbour has had wdh workers there much every week for the past four months. Funny how the tables turn on decent pillars of the community. Because wdh don't like to push the pen. Long has they get there rent. Baring in mind this neighbour owed thousands of pounds in rent areas. Due to spending money on other things. Most will know what a mean when a say other things. Not food an house hold bills like the rest of us. But still wdh will bend over backwards for this tenant. But us if your a couple of week out due to direct debts not going out till a certain date. An wdh computer system does the calculations a couple of weeks in advance. You've got a letter through the door or someone turning up. This person has caused nothing but trouble to not just us but older generation that won't speak up due to the fact wdh aren't doing anything. Even after a few have reported the situation. Well one of our neighbours who lives in a private property is thinking of going on the local news to name an shame the mangers of wdh involved. Which we don't blame them. Enough is enough.
