Hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever had online.
I bought some jeans, they shrank by 3 inches, after following washing instructions religiously and Vans didn’t consider this a product fault. In fact when I mentioned reporting them to trading standards, their response was more or less ‘go ahead we don’t care’.
I tried to explain that their poor customer service was not only going to lose them a lifelong customer and gaining a very bad rep, but they couldn’t care less.
Will never buy from Vans again. They give this image of being hip and friendly, but they don’t care about their customers at all. Rubbish.

Lengthy delivery times
I ordered 2 pairs of Vans in the sale on the Vans website. The delivery took over a week to arrive, and I had to chase Vans for an update with Yodel. I spoke to the customer services team a couple of times, and they were as helpful as they could be. The shoes arrived, and were as expected, good quality and the correct items in undamaged boxes. I have returned one of the pairs, so I await my refund. What Vans don't tell you is that they ship their shoes from their warehouse in Prague, hence the lengthy delivery time. If it wasn't for the delivery time, I'd use them again. But I don't think it should be taking over a week to deliver in this day & age.
Terrible service and no items
Placed order nearly 2 weeks weeks ago, within 3 days got an email saying part of order had been cancelled with no explanation, but the items still available on website. Order is still now stating processing and is now outside of their own terms of of sale. Been chasing every day for updates to no avail, I just keep getting told to give them 24 hours, we're now on a week of this. Requested manager call back 3 times but still not happened, worst customer service I've ever experienced and still without any items

Very disappointing product and customer care
Bought my first pair of vans (MTE2's) and based on Van's reputation I was expecting good things. They took a while to break in which seemed odd for softer shoes but I gave it a good 3 months.
One shoe seems fine and is comfy, but the other has a fold or crease or something that I just can't get rid of at the base of the tongue on one side where it's stitched to the upper shoe. It's in an annoying place and makes the shoe painful to wear by pressing into the knuckle of my big toe.
I approached Vans' customer support believing this to be a defect and hoping to return them (with the idea of replacing them). I got a response a week later asking for pics which I provided, but then had nothing for over a week. On chasing I was asked for some more pics of the shoes (generic pics and nothing to do with the fault now) and then very quickly got a rejection on my request to return as the "damage" wasn't their fault.
There is no damage, they didn't appear to have actually read my original report on the fault. I've challenged but had no reply for the last couple of days. Admittedly my reply was later in the day, so it's not quite been 2 days. Going by their usual responsiveness I won't hear back for another week yet.
Evidently Vans, a company built around the idea of comfortable footwear, don't actually care if their product is comfortable or not. So this was my first and last pair from this brand, not if they won't address problems that make their product unwearable.
Update: got a reply where they still rejected my claim and then closed the case. I replied with pics of the problem from inside the shoe (as best I could with the angle) which I believe clearly shows a fault of some kind. They came back next day basically saying that the matter was closed and they wouldn't review it again.
I'm now dealing with trading standards/citizens advice as this is ridiculous.

Shoes fell apart after 3 months of casual use. Customer service took nearly a week to get back to me and tell me that it’s just wear and tear. The quality of the product is simply not good enough. They are supposed to be the worlds toughest skate shoes, how is this the case if they fall apart from just walking in them!!!

I now have to send back the wrong items before they will issue me a refund.
Absolutely ridiculous that I have to jump through a bunch of hoops for a problem they created.

DO NOT BUY FROM VANS WEBSITE
I will never buy from the website again. After ordering 2 pairs of shoes. One came defective and the other not as shown on the website. I returned both and now been waiting over 3 weeks for my refund. I've had no communications other than to say they recieved the return. I am now attempting to recoup my money through PayPal as vans are not responding to emails. AVOID buying on the vans website!!!
**UPDATE**
Vans have not responded to the PayPal dispute. However, they have sent me an email stating that if I close the case they will give me a refund! In absolute no circumstances will I close the PayPal dispute before the refund. Once a PayPal dispute is closed you can't reopen it and ill likely still struggle to get my refund from Vans.
WARNING
If Vans ask you to close a PayPal dispute, DO NOT CLOSE THE PAYPAL DISPUTE. Sellers are able to issue refunds whilst a dispute is open! If they state otherwise then you'll likely never recieve your refund from the seller.

Wish I'd read reviews before i placed my order! Been wanting a pair of Vans for ages, and I saw the perfect pair in the sale so I snapped them up...happy days, until I received them. The pair I ordered were pictured and advertised on the website as off white/cream canvas with trademark suede heels and toes. What I recieved were off white glitter with no suede anywhere....they were totally unsuitable and unacceptable, Im a lady in her fifties who wanted a nice neutral pair of casual sneakers, cant be prancing around in glittered ones. I went on 'chat' which was very basic and the 'person' I spoke to was very offhand, all he advised was send them back with 'wrong item received' as the reason. No attempt to forward me the shoes that I wanted, he just went offline!. Will never use this company again, and advise others to steer clear too!
Very delayed refund
I ordered 4 pairs of vans - which were delivered on time and were of the quality I expect. However, I returned 2 pairs (because they were too small) and have now been waiting almost 4 weeks for a refund. Four calls to Customer Service have given me a different story each time. They all acknowledge that the shoes have been returned and are in order but seem to fail to process the refund. I will not buy Vans again - which is a pity because I like the style and quality

Ordered two items but parcel arrived with one of the items missing. Contacted vans who have blamed the courier although the parcel has arrived undamaged so it is clear that Vans just haven’t bothered to pack it. I’m now out of pocket with no item and no refund. Avoid avoid avoid.

Bought some MTE boots to walk the dogs and after 5 months they started to come apart and let water in. Trying to complain and get a refund but just being ignored now. Do not buy off Vans I repeat do not buy off Vans.
Processing for days, then got sent the wrong Color.
Wrong colour sent. After days of asking why the order hadn’t been shipped. Sent an email for an update, a further 4 days elapsed before I had to start a digital chat via their website. I was given attitude like I was speaking to a 15 year old who couldn’t care less. Order from somewhere that is capable of running a website.
Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful. Ordered my daughter a pair of size UK 10 customisable vans. Waited 5 weeks for them and they arrived and were certainly NOT at UK 10 as described and i believe they were made unfit for purpose. Customer services were unhelpful.
I can't even in good conscience sell them on as I have too much integrity to behave in the same manner. So they will be going in the bin. £40 shoes straight in the bin. Disgusting!
So narrow, my little toe is dripping with blood
The shoes themselves are so narrow (in width) that (despite buying the next size up) my little toe is covered in blisters and blood has actually seeped through to the shoe itself. Despite not buying them directly from their site, I contacted Vans and asked why they were made so narrow...and the only advice I got from their 'support team', was to order a custom-made pair from their website.
Dont bother unless your home 24/7
Ordered my vans but as they use yodel and they required a signature and after 3 attempts they go back to depot. I work so can not guarantee to be home for delivery but would be happy for them to be left in my safe space or with a neighbour. On the email none were an option so because i was not going to collect from there depot they were returned to vans without me ever receiving them. Not good at all so wont bother again. If im paying for expensive goods i expect better.
Rubbish customer service
Bought vans products for years,wife and I have saved regularly to have shopping trips to their stores,purchased a few items on our last visit,,Trafford centre,,,wife bought a pair of vans,,,,tried a 6 decided 5.5 more comfortable,we got home she put them on to go out,,after a short distance said they didn't feel as comfortable as her other pair,upon returning home to find they had given her the 6,,,, I complained to customer service,they said to take them back,, I explained she had wore them a short while,they said no problem, I told them the store was 30ml from my home,they said I would have to return them to the store.
I travelled the 30 ml to be met with a over arrogant manager with no interest whatsoever,as senior citizens I was not going to have a jobsworth attitude,it was as if he was waiting for us,,,well super vans our savings and trips and purchase will be in future with a competitor,60 ml round trip wasted,spoke to customer service today 6/6,3 hours ago told they would ring back within hour,to try to resolve issue,still waiting,now 7pm still waiting,got a response today,wondered if it was a result to my review🤔but basically a fobbing off,, I'll be shopping with a competitor in future,
