This school is a joke, this is the second time I've dealt with being unenrolled with no communication, I first enrolled in medical billing and coding and within the 3rd week they tried to say they didn't receive the documents they needed in time and had to unenroll me, well I had everything documented where I sent my paperwork in before the deadline they just failed to pull the documents until after the deadline time. They were going to make me start all my classes back over I spoke with a manager and sent him all of the documents and he reinstated me up to my current classes. My friend had the same issue and had to start hers over. Well I decided to switch to pharmacy tech I have two months before graduation and 3 weeks before my externship I wake up today to do my work and low and behold I'm unenrolled!! I'm beyond pissed, i spoke with admissions to try and find out the reason and she claims its my background check, I have already had my background check cleared by the Alabama board of pharmacy and also have emails stating where my licensing has been approved. I speak to financial aid because I was supposed to have a disbursement sent tommorrow and I find it odd that they wanted to unenroll me before my 26-27 grants/loans were added to my account and now because of cancelation I wouldn't receive what was supposed to be sent to me. She states that I would have to re enroll and let them redo my financial aid. To hell with that I wasted a year on maintaining a 4.0 GPA and honors roll just for them to try and seek more money and I feel like that's alot of what is going on with this school. I've also read some complaints on facebook where girls had one day before graduation and they were unenrolled. It's absolutely crazy for the ones that have graduated I guess yall got lucky....

I was entirely unenrolled after my second class because during the five week period for that course I was hospitalized twice, extremely sick a large portion of the time, then had a major family death that caused me to have to drive across the country. I had tried to keep up with my work to the best of my ability, but it's a bit difficult when you have all this going on. I just barely failed the class, yet instead of letting me retake the course, or get an extension, after I spoke with multiple advisors who told me that is what would happen, I was instead entirely unenrolled without any kind of notice or warning til AFTER it was finalized. Now, if I want to go back, I have to start from the very beginning with the course I'd already taken and passed. The school wasted my time, my money, and did nothing but lie to me. All they want from you is money, non-profit my ass. The only communication you ever get is an advisor who will call you seventeen times a week to check on you, but feign care and just say finish your work and nothing else, they don't care if you're lying in a hospital bed barely able to move.

I have asked anyone not to accept or go to UMA. They will have you do all your courses and stuff just to tell you later that your background came and they would cancel everything you did are they not professional. They really just want your money from financial aid please please do not go there.

They stole my financial aid then lied how can I file a claim against them

I’m so sorry to inform you all that my wife passed away, but if she could say anything it would be, she didn’t think she could do it at first but she stay with it and finished. It was a very great experience and it was worth it.

What made my experience exceptional was my perseverance. Numerous individuals, including family and friends, advised me that I was too old to begin anew and return to education. I nearly succumbed to their opinions. However, Ultimate Medical Academy provided me with opportunities to work with new vendors, which I had never imagined I would accomplish. Despite the challenges, I graduated with honors and earned my associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding. I remained on the Dean's List throughout the entire program, an achievement of which I am very proud. Now, I have gained respect and instill the same lesson in my grandchildren: that one is never too old to start over and that perseverance is essential. If I could do this at 69 years of age, I am confident that anyone can. Thank you, Uma, for guiding me along the way.

I have been waiting for career services to call me. I’ve been waiting since February 11! They kept changing my advisor and the new advisor says she’s been calling me and can’t leave a voicemail, I have not even gotten one call from her! She lied so she wouldn’t look bad by not calling me like she was supposed to. Now I have bills to pay and no job because I can’t get a job in what I went to school for and no help from them to get a job!

The school was great all good teachers and landing my Job after graduation.

First, they tell you that you are going to get a stipend, then 3 other people say you will, and then another person says you aren't. Then, when you tell them you are withdrawing, they HOUND you to death by calling and texting multiple times a day/ week. I am going to contact the Department of Education about the student aide that I got and see what can be done. This place is not a good school at all. And some of the quizzes that were taken, I can tell you that I had the right answer, but was still graded wrong. DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!! I know of someone who has been waiting for the stipend to be released, and they keep delaying the release of this money! This person NEEDS the money to pay bills! And the story keeps changing every time this person calls, and then when they call, they get a recording saying they are in a meeting, which I call BS. It's everyone is at lunch, and no other school that I have ever been in has everyone going to lunch every single day, all at the same time. And the Financial Aid department has no clue what they are doing at all. They really need to be reviewed by the Department of Education.

All the staff has always been very supportive and helpful and it has been a super blessing to have had all the love and support from all the Uma staff

I am so happy I decided to branch off my career again and medical. Ultimate medical made sure I had everything I needed to succeed. It was no reason or no excuse of why I couldn’t succeed. They had the help. They had all types of people resources. They was just extremely helpful. miss makayla Miss Rose 🥺 oh my God I am gonna miss the phone calls the great conversations. I’m gonna miss y’all . They was on me was like my mom . would have been if she knew I had enrolled in school, they was only me they make sure I miss no exams, discussions, replies, assignment, even if I did miss some sometimes wishes I did. I’m not gonna lie. They made sure I got it,done , I wanted to quit so many times, but I knew I couldn’t quit and it wasn’t making me quit. They wasn’t letting me quit! They did not like to hear they were come from my mouth quit😫😭 but it was always u can DO IT , and LOOK I DID IT !!! I know there was not taking a no for ANSWER 🗣️. That’s why I chose UMA FOR SCHOOL ! they pushed the students to the max and I love them for that and thanks to them. I landed my first job. Yay!

When comes to my classes n my support I don’t have an issue I am not going to lie I read MULTIPLE REVIEWS THAT UMA HOLDS UR FINANCIAL AID MONEY. Before I start I am a honors student have two classes left supposed to be done in April. For
Some odd reason this school year they made me wait until February for my financial aid to come through and when I logged into my financial aid it was given in January than they broke my financial aide up into two payments one for February which took all of my money for school and the rest that I requested to offset my bills cause THAT IS WHY THEY ALLOW U TO TAKE IT OUT TO HELP WITH UR BILLS WHILE UR IN SCHOOL they are telling me I have to wait another month to get….meanwhile I graduate literally a month after they choose to release my money. Last semester when I was waiting for my financial aid I called cause one of my loans still said pending I spoke to someone and she literally cleared it and it stated approved and received the next day so that tells it all that yall have peoples payments. Than I speak to a manager by the name of Melissa, this is not my first rodeo going to school I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN FINANCIAL AID AND LOANS GET DISTRIBUTED SEPARATELY she is going to tell me out of her mouth they only received half of the financial aid after I literally spoken to someone earlier that tried to get my money release cause I requested it for my bills and she said she couldn’t unfortunately do it cause it’s set for mar 4th which makes no sense to me at all. I’m only doing half of a semester so why is my loans and financial aid split up anyway. What saddens me is people take this money out to offset bills and yall will not help them but make is if financial aid only paid yall half why is yall bill not split into half when the funds apparently comes out. It’s a sad situation to me. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE and I’m a honors student and will graduate in April.

First let me say the reason for the low score. the first time I started they did everything to work with me even when I had a hold knee replacement and even when it came to me getting my money three months after starting school. After I finish school, they were working for me at times but at time I was feeling they wasn't. now get to starting back in October of 2025 applied got all my paper done and started my classes and three weeks into school got drop called and email to find out what was going on they said they didn't get paper from my doctor office, so I found out that my doctor moved out of stated. so, they let reapply again and three weeks in got drop again. Email and called again telling me the same thing again paperwork from doctor office so am telling them again my doctor is no longer their what can I do. So, the I found out I was drop in when I was trying to turn in paperwork for a class and couldn't. After several days talking with them I tried to login and couldn't tried to email no answer tried calling got put on hold or hung up on. When someone did talk with me, they told me they locked me out the account. Never was told I was going to get locked out after that never heard anything else from them that made me look ugly at them how they not what they say. But if i ever go back to school UMA will not, be it.

I started at UMA in June 2025. Everything was going smoothly until it came time for my financial refund, which I never received. I am set to graduate in March 2026, but as of January 22, 2026, I am still being asked for the tax form. I have become frustrated with the school's constant requests for financial documents. I’ve also read reviews indicating that they frequently ask for these things. Can you please tell me what’s really going on?

i currently attend UMA and what i feared the most happened i read so many reviews that stated they had trouble with financial but i thought you know i will see for myself and guess what happened my financial aid was supposed to be released today and was not and i am a single mom who was relying on her refund to pay my rent i am so discouraged i think i am going to transfer schools

Loved the courses but the resume writers need to go back to college, I received multiple resumes because I asked them to re write them on a few occasions and I gave up on the last request. I'll just get a professional resume writer to write this.

I have had a great experience I graduate the 23 of November and they have helped me with a job In the field from work at home I am graduating with a 3.66 gpa the teachers and advisors was very supportive answer their calls work with your advisors do some of the work they ask when comes to them sending you job applications you will be very happy I start my job dec 4....

As a single mom going to school, this school has been a nightmare on getting my funds on a timly manner. They give you excuses on how they are backed up. If you depend on your money to help get through school as far as bills and such, this is not your school.
