Order of 6 bar stools delivered in pairs over 3 days which struck me as very inefficient, however they did eventually arrive. Sadly one of the stools was damaged, this was dealt with promptly and with no fuss. The overall experience was managed well by the customer service team and I have no complaints.

The product was just what I wanted and delivered very quickly

I ordered a dog pushchair for my epileptic dog, delivery was quick. However was larger than I thought it would be, so i returned the item, shipped as i had been guided to. Contacted after a few days to see if they had received and they stated they had not. Sent all the info I had a lovely lady there was able to help me and I got my refund within a couple of days.

You buy online , pay for delivery- which is fine, I misunderstood their advertising and thought 1 stool was in the box but their were 2 which is what I wanted, to return cost me £12 and after explaining to customer service received a blunt rude email back . Never have I brought off such a rude company and the standard of the furniture is awful , in none of the pictures of the bed settee we brought can u see hinges running across the back of the sofa yet there they are , it’s horrendous to put into a bed and to sit on it it’s like a slab , the worse made pice of furniture I have seen in a long while .Will never ever shop there again.

I was ripped off. I ordered three items, which from any other company would have been delivered as one, but I was charged for three deliveries even though the packages were all the same size. I only get ripped off once.

I ordered a portable air conditioner at the start of the heat wave. The courier failed to deliver the parcel and returned it to the warehouse through no fault of my own. From that point onwards, I had to repeatedly chase customer service for updates over the course of approximately three weeks. At no stage was I proactively contacted with meaningful information.

I was repeatedly asked to wait while the issue was investigated. I was then told that my returned unit was back at the warehouse and that a replacement was available. I immediately confirmed that I wanted the replacement and provided my address. After another delay, I was informed that the item was now out of stock. It was only after I asked further questions that I was finally told the supplier had cancelled the order due to no stock being available.

The biggest issue is that the delays meant I lost the opportunity to purchase an alternative air conditioner elsewhere while they were still available. By the time TJ Hughes finally admitted they could no longer fulfil the order, air conditioning units had become difficult to source across the country because of the heat wave. A refund at that point did not put me back in the position I would have been in had my order been handled properly.

The customer service representatives themselves were polite, and I appreciate that they can only work with the information they are given. My criticism is of TJ Hughes' internal handling of the order and the complete lack of proactive communication.

If your order goes wrong, be prepared to chase repeatedly for updates. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend ordering from this company.

Quick, easy purchase, excellent helpful delivery driver

I was looking for some desk draws that could be easily moved for more under desk space when working. These are just what I was looking for and match my desk perfectly. When underneath they look like they are part of the desk.
The website was easy to use quick to order and received on time when they said they would be. Overall experience was excellent and the product easy to put together and looks fabulous

I am very disappointed with my experience. My order refund has now been initiated, however I was not informed of any issue, delay, or reason why the order could not be fulfilled before this decision was made.

I was expecting the item which was a fan within the advertised 2–3 working day timeframe, and during a period of hot weather I was relying on receiving it. Instead, I was left waiting with no updates or indication that there was a problem with my order.

I contacted customer service on 29 May 2026 and received an automated response stating that their team would aim to reply within 2–3 working days. Unfortunately, I have still not received a response as of 19 July 2026.

The lack of communication and failure to keep me informed has been extremely disappointing. This is not the level of customer service I would expect, and I would have appreciated a simple update rather than being left waiting without any information.

Never will order from this company again, avoid like the plague !

It was easy to order and quick delivery

It didn't arrive. Was shipped by Evri, their tracking got as far as saying they couldn't get to me, but they would deliver the next working day, and then nothing. Their system showed it had NOT been delivered a week later and yet they ignored it. Complete incompetence. I should have got it a week before the 14th when I planned to give it as a birthday present and I still don't have the replacement. I have a tracking number for the replacement and just checked it and Evri say they haven't received it yet.

Very quick sevice great to grab a bargain.

The ordering process was easy, there were issues with the delivery so the order was cancelled. The refund was made quickly and without fuss.
