Extremely disappointed with this…


Extremely disappointed with this product. Item not as distributed. The timmer does not cut sharp line as shown on the video. I do feel I have wasted my money.

The worst customer service ever.

The worst customer service ever..
Bought a bundle back in october 2024 I am a trainee barber only use it 1 evening a week for less than an hour when i am in college so basically it has been used 10 times if not less the clippers are snagging/catching the hair and pulling sent video evidence as asked i suggested they fix the problem or replace the clippers and i was advised to buy a new blade instead as it was out of the 90 days guarantee and they can't do anything..
Like come on it it's been barely used so clearly faulty but they won't do anything just want me to spend more money on there website..
Avoid customer service is a disgrace and I will be reporting it to the trading standards..

Where do I begin

Where do I begin. Cheap plastic feel, opened the box to find that the bracket wiggles which means I can’t use because it shows the moving blade. To return the item its just long winded. They’ll try and give you a 30% discount on a future purchase. Don’t accept it and get your money back. Guards are cheap.

Such poor customer service

Such poor customer service, had a faulty ghost trimmer, I was told I need to pay a handling fee of £19! To send back and get another. Shouldn't sell poorly made products, as being faulty is out of my control. Shouldn't be charged another fee.

Edit: since emailing a few times they have kindly waved the fee and will send out another shaver. Thank you

Scammers…

I am extremely frustrated with the customer service I've received. My order has not been delivered, and the carrier marked it as "refused," even though it was supposed to be left at a collection point. Customer service is insisting that I refused the delivery, and they have informed me that I will not receive a refund until they get the order back. This situation is both incompetent and unacceptable.

As advised your parcel is at the delivery depot awaiting your instructions. You may either collect it personally or rearrange to an address of your choice.
Alternatively if you wish to obtain a refund please contact support to arrange the redelivery back to us. Upon receipt you will receive a prompt and full refund.
I am sorry you consider it a 'scam' since your product was fulfilled on time and is awaiting your collection.

5* experience all around

I’ve ordered clippers, trimmers, and a few accessories from them. Everything came well-packaged and in perfect condition. The quality is fantastic, and the prices are great too. Definitely recommend.

Solid products, no complaints

I’ve been using their tools for a few months now, and they’ve held up great. The Play clippers are sharp, and the Skull shavers give a clean, smooth finish every time. Very satisfied.

Great customer service!

Blamed for someone else’s review as I wanted an exchange due to buying the wrong trimmer!

I normally don’t write a review and I am very honest when I do write one! I always give the opportunity to fix the issue and normally would still give 5 stars if it was fixed.
I am giving this company a 3 star as products seem to be decent and I can’t complain yet as it’s early stages. I was going to buy jrl onyx or babyliss lo pro fx but I thought let me support tpob as I liked what he was bringing out and his content.
I sent a email to customer service to exchange a product as I had a few products in the basket and it was late at night where I was half asleep and removed the wrong product at checkout. I was meant to buy a x deluxe trimmer but accidentally ordered a xo trimmer which was also in my basket.
I was emailed back stating I will be charged full price of all products as I had used a discount code and 10% restock fee will be applied plus I have to send back at my own expense.

I could agree to sending back the trimmers at my own expense and 10% restock fee, even though I feel that is a terrible ethos/policy to have and at least a return label should be sent with products! 10% restock should be charged if it has to remain.

Emails had gone back and forth with customer service where I believed they did get confused that I did not buy part of any bundle so I should not be charged full price of the products I was keeping.
I then messaged tpob instagram hoping he could help and sent him screenshots of what his customer advisor said as it was not making any sense, all I wanted to do was get an exchange and here I was being told I will be charged full price and all sorts of fees!
I did get a reply initially with a apology and was told someone will get back to me to help and they did, I was emailed from a customer service manager and was promptly advised to return the item where I would get a refund but will be charged 10% restock fee and I can order the product I want with the same discount code.
I believe this to be fair and agreed and sent a reply to tpob instagram thanking him for sorting this out. I was pleased with the result and hoped tpob would have a chat with his team and make sure this would not happen in future by giving his staff proper training.

Next day I was called the name Travis turner and told to stop writing bad reviews on trustpilot which really confused me so I decided to check and saw there was someone in a similar problem named travis turner which could be a fake profile or real person who left a bad review.
I advised tpob that it was not me as I don’t write such reviews and that my problem had been sorted out so I have no reason to write a review and in fact would have given a 5 star review as you can’t blame a employee’s mistake or misunderstanding.
I was told to stop lying and was called a child etc and told I would not get any exchange as quote ‘he is not stupid’ and that it’s my fault for placing the order wrong.
I tried to explain that it is not me who wrote that review but this is me who’s writing this so I hope you’re reading this review. I do hope you check and cross reference travis turner as apparently he has had an exchange done from what I have read and I’m sure you can get back to me for being wrong with an apology. I am happy to provide emails and proof of everything I have written so none of this is a lie if anyone would like to confirm.
I just want to warn people that if you do order from this company be assured this is how you will be treated which is a shame! I guess the tpob team has a lot to learn with customer service and how to talk properly without blaming customers or accusing them. Not good for an owner of a company as the attitude stinks so staff can only learn from you. I wish the response was more grown up and sincere but it’s left me shocked and speechless.

The products may be good or bad that I cannot advise on but just be aware if a mistake is made or and exchange is wanted or a future problem occurs this is what you will have to deal with which isn’t ideal. The owner does not care so don’t expect the staff to care.
I regret buying from here and should have listened to all the warnings out there but again that is my fault.
All the best to the company moving forward and to anyone buying just do your research and make sure you commit with the purchase.

Since posting my original review (below) I have received a replacement unit.

It was a bit of a faff, and I'd read in advance that people had found the customer service to be problematic; this nearly put me off buying altogether.

BUT, the product is great, really happy with it. And they did (eventually) sort it out for me.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (2 Stars)

I received a set as a Christmas gift.

I must say the items are great; only there's a slight issue with a continuous flashing light on the trimmer.

Correspondence is slow and I'm now having to return the faulty item they shipped to me at my expense!

It's a shame the customer support isn't great as I'm really chuffed with the items.

Customer service is terrible

Customer service is terrible. Requested a refund, unopened items not even taken out the box, and they made it the most annoying experience ever. Ended up getting a 90% refund instead of 100% for some weird reason, after back and fourth emails.

Your return request was first received on 24th December 2024, and our agent responded to you that same day, despite it being Christmas Eve. A follow-up response was provided on Christmas Day, offering an alternative solution, even though the agent was not officially on duty at that time. Unfortunately, there was a delay in your response, which we fully understand given the holiday period, but the restocking fee was outlined clearly when the return address was provided on 3rd January 2025.

You confirmed your understanding of our returns policy and the associated restocking fee without objection, and proceeded with the return of the item. As per our policy, a restocking fee applies to items returned due to a change of mind, which is standard practice in the industry.
We’re sorry if this was not made clearer upfront, but it is stated in our terms and conditions, and we ensure that all customers are informed about this before making a purchase.

Your item was received back into our warehouse on 9th January, and we issued your refund on 11th January, after confirming the return details. Given the timing over the holidays, we believe this timeline to be reasonable and consistent with our usual process.

We understand that restocking fees can be frustrating, but please know that this is a standard policy designed to cover the costs associated with returned merchandise. If you had raised any objections to this fee, I would have been more than happy as Customer Support Manager, to review your case personally.

This company was great , I purchased a gift for my son it was not what he wanted but the policy to return was out of date , they supported me and gave me a credit note of which I got to order what my son wanted

My son is a barber and I got him a full set direct from tpob however the clippers will.not cut when fully open i have been in touch with customer service since September and still no closer to sorting this issue next step is trading sstandards would definitely not recommend this brand very poor.

All I can say to everyone is to steer well clear of this company and all of his products. They are Cheap and nasty they may look very nice but they do not do the job at all. I've been barbering for nearly 15 years and these are by far the worst clippers I've ever used. All so once you have paid for your clippers they don't want to know or help in any way terrible customer service and terrible company 😒

Worse crap have ever used

Worse crap have ever used . Totally unprofessional company. Customer service is shocking. Thank god I payed by pay pal and got my money back . Do not buy anything from this company. They try the best not to help asking for many videos. You send they reply not long enough .Hoping you give up .well I didn't .Thanks to my protection of pay pal . I was one of the lucky ones who got a full refund. I REPEAT DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THE PRODUCTS ARE CHEAP AND FAKE ......

Bought the slime 2 didnt think they were great from day 1 and barley used them after 6 months the blade moved and didnt work properly after i will never buy this brand again as they would not give me my money back just sent new blades witch they expect you to know how to change yourself not up to standard for professional use dont waste your money

You say that you did not think the clippers were great from day 1 but having checked we did not receive any support tickets concerning your problem.
Your clippers are covered under warranty for 12 months. However as you can see on the website blades are not covered under warranty since these items do need replacing.
Since the video you sent shows no problem with the clippers, rather a badly fitted blade, then your issue was dealt with in an appropriate way.
I can see that you agreed to receive a free blade which we have sent out to you. This should fix the issue, when fitted properly.
I can clearly see that your support request was handled politely and efficiently, and a resolution was agreed by yourself.
On this basis I am surprised to see a detrimental review. How can we fix this problem for you?

Jin at customer service has purposely made every step as painful as possible.
