We completely understand. When the fish itself is only $10, the cost of shipping can definitely feel like a lot! Unfortunately, shipping live fish safely means carefully packing them in an adequate amount of water in a box made larger with styrofoam insulation for temperature management. Add on the overnight shipment and it can get expensive. Nevertheless, we are committed to making no profit on shipping to try to keep that cost as low as we can. We’re really glad you decided to give us a try, though, and most importantly, that your OB Peacock arrived healthy and is thriving. Thank you for the 5 stars and for sharing your experience!
The fish all arrived alive but I…
The fish all arrived alive but I realized the next morning that two of the yellow tailed ACIA had ick which quickly spread to my other fish. The tank was very well established for at least ten years without any problems. I was unable to save any of them. And everything in my fish tank died including all of my older fish. I hate to give bad reviews but I thought other people should know. I never called them about the issue because I figured it wouldn’t have mattered.

We’re really sorry to hear this, especially knowing you lost not only the new fish but your longtime fish as well. We completely understand how upsetting that must have been.
We do want to clarify one important point, though…it absolutely matters that you contact us at the first sign that something doesn’t look right. We ask customers to reach out immediately so we can gather information about how the fish appeared upon arrival, the acclimation process, tank parameters and what symptoms they’re seeing. In many cases, that gives us an opportunity to work with the customer and help turn the situation around before it progresses.
We really wish we’d heard from you when you first noticed the spots on the Yellow Tail Acei so we could have tried to help. We’re very sorry we didn’t have that opportunity.

We’re very sorry to hear that you had problems with your Firemouth and Jack Dempsey Cichlids. This review is the first we’ve heard that there was an issue. While you confirmed that the fish had been delivered by FedEx, there was no mention at the time that they appeared unhealthy.
We really wish you had contacted us as soon as you noticed the first signs of ich or anything else concerning. We would have been happy to work through it with you and, in many cases, can help turn a situation around when we’re notified early.
Unfortunately, at this point we don’t know how the fish appeared when they arrived, how long it was before you noticed symptoms, whether our recommended acclimation procedure was followed, or the conditions and water parameters of the tank they were introduced into. All of those details are important in understanding what may have happened.
We’re always here to help when there’s a problem, and we encourage our customers to reach out to us right away so we have the opportunity to do just that.
