I find it hard to believe that their independent. I got a parking ticket for spending 11 minutes trying to pay to park. Both machines at the site were broken and the website not working. We spent 11 minutes diligently trying to pay to park and I wish we had driven straight out now but we just wanted to pay to park.

I provided evidence that we went immediately to the car park next door after spending 10 minutes trying to pay to park and paid for 4 hours at a working car park.....but the IAS didn't care. Having read the reviews it seems they are just as bad as the parking companies themselves.

Still, I'd rather have my morals than have to pay that unethical fine when it was first issued.

Disgusting and biased company that can not be trusted. Who said justice prevails!.....

Is this really an independent organisation? Ignores evidence and supports and encourages predatory behaviour of parking companies. Don't bother just take the parking company to court

After three attempts to register my details and being sent around in circles, I started to smell a rat. Looked on Trustpilot and the reviews seem to confirm my suspicions about this company. I have since managed to register with IAS and received a reply from the email on their website so I have some hope now of a justified decision and will update my review as and when things change. So far the process has gone as promised and I have uploaded my evidence and appeal reasons once. The Operator has responded and I have had another chance to respond so I would say, the worst part is the IAS website being very tricky to register on.
Latest update is that I have been refused appeal even though I was having to stop at a temporary red light! Waste of time appealing but I shall go on to court if need be.

Don't bother wasting your time. Just take the parking company to court and you will win!
Armtrac Services needs to be shut down for issuing illegal PCN's in the first place!
IAC is just another scam company, they are not independent at all! They will reject your appeal even when the evidence is clear as day! SCAM

A very quick overturning of a patently unfair penalty notice from Alliance Parking. Thank you, IAS. Please don’t be out off by these reviews if you KNOW you were in the right and have evidence - We provided photo evidence and explained the issue and hey presto no fine.

Tbh, Alliance should NEVER have rejected our first appeal to them - I suspect the IAS is overloaded due to charlatan companies trying to scare people into paying unfair penalties.

I appealed for my parking ticket to this org for which i have already paid 19 GBP. Still they dismissed my appeal after taking more than 15 days, which costs me more 40 pounds as previously i had to pay 60(within 14 days) and now i need to pay 100 due to IAS,

they are influenced by operator and don't go with your evidences

they rejected on the grounds that the MARKS CLEAR enough while it was not and I provided all the evidences. I believe they are only supporting private parking.

There is no INDEPENDENCE, if you read their ;better I got, you will say the same.

Crazy!!! It is all a fraud and a waste of time.

I came here before applying to IAS to check out the reviews and was horrified. I still decided to go ahead and apply, as an incurable optimist.

I'll give them 3 stars as they cancelled my PCN, based on the fact that my car was broken down. It would have really been outrageous, if they'd insisted on fining me because of a breakdown but I can imagine that it could happen also, considering how ridiculous this system is. After all, the private company that issues the PCN was informed that I had been broken down and they still claimed I had to pay, thus my IAS involvement.

Anyway, I got the decision quickly.

However, the process of filling in the online form is EXTREMELY annoying because when you make a mistake such as forgetting to fill in one field, you have to start all over again. Creating a password was also pain and I had to keep starting the whole thing from the beginning. They tell you your password is "weak" or medium or whatever but they don't tell you that they won't accept it and you only find out when you press the submit button, then you have to start again because all the fields you have filled are now empty.

Do they do it on purpose??

I received a car parking charge from CPM even though I had phoned that morning and arranged a permit (like I've done on multiple occasions before with no issues).

I initally appealed to CPM's internal process that got rejected and got referred onwards to TheIAS for further appealing. I've asked for my telephone recording from CPM through a SAR that hasnt been fulfilled as of yet.

TheIAS is a two stage company.

1. Your evidence & statement then onto an initial review. (That did go in CPMs favour initially) You can comment further after the inital decision but I opted to go straight to Adjudication.

2. Onto Adjudication. (An actual person!)

Adjudication took roughly two weeks but thankfully they took my evidence into account and accepted my Appeal!

Worst. Took no circumstances into consideration before dismissing the appeal. Are they independent?

The independent appeal service, works for scammers so what to expect? First, could't recognize the private parking PCN details then if you look for help, no Email, No address, No phone number . What to expect for this kind of organization?

I did manage to get a account set up and a password sorted in the end it took some perseverance.
But it was to no avail as I expected they dismissed my appeal and held up the parking charge.
as this is the 4th time I have used either appeals, ombudsmen or govt. bodies all have failed. So my trust in these organizations is no existent and I believe they are set up just to try and give us some semblance of justice in the system we live in.
i.e. to keep the masses quite.

I do not believe this company is independent at all. They seem to be in alliance with thenparking operators. So many people paying for car parking and still getting tickets with no reason given why they have received a fine! All a scam!

Independent Appeals Service for parking fines is TOTAL waste of time, there are no contact numbers to get any help, they won’t reply to emails and the appeal process online is practically impossible! I made 22 attempts just to register and they keep knocking out because you have not ticked the right humans, your password don’t match, you have not read the terms and condition, you have not ticked the box, excuse after excuse, after 2 hours doing the same thing correctly I still could not login to appeal - I am now fed up and will have to pay because there is No help that’s why people end up paying parking fines to this Companies because they know they can get away, no law and order applies to them.

Surely this organisation must be regulated by an authorised government body, I can see I am not going mad there lots and lots of people in my situation who end up paying fines. I need to somehow find a way to address this serious issue so they can look into this and investigate their very very poor business practice!

I've spent more than 2 hrs trying to Appeal an "Appeal for UKPS" that was not even considered,
All the circular web messages are the same and Ive tried 3 different email addresses to contact them through their website and appeals .

Most interesting is that The IAS web site has a "contact us" e mail address that doesn't even confirm to to UK address protocols so is uncontactable.

Sit tight from the bullies I know they haven't got a hope in hell against me in the High Court.

I recently sought the services of the Independent Appeals Service (IAS) to appeal a parking charge notice (PCN) issued by Wise Parking Services. As a Blue Badge holder undergoing cancer treatment, I faced significant challenges finding a suitable parking space at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, leading to an unavoidable parking contravention.

In my appeal to the IAS, I provided detailed information about my disability, the lack of available marked bays, and the urgent need to access medical treatment on the day of the incident. Despite these compelling circumstances, my appeal was unjustly dismissed without any consideration for my disability or the mitigating factors I presented.

As a patient undergoing medical treatment, I expected a more compassionate and equitable approach from the IAS. Unfortunately, the outcome of my appeal only serves to highlight the systemic issues within the parking enforcement system, where individuals like myself are subjected to unjust treatment and disregard for our circumstances.

I urge the IAS to reevaluate their practices and adopt a more inclusive and empathetic approach towards individuals with disabilities who seek their assistance. It is essential that external service providers like the IAS uphold ethical standards and demonstrate a commitment to fairness and equality in their decision-making processes.

Overall, my experience with the IAS was disappointing and disheartening. I hope that by sharing my experience, positive changes can be made to ensure that disabled individuals are treated with the respect and consideration they deserve in parking enforcement matters.

Because of this company, I had to pay for a PCN that I was not at fault for. They don't investigate anything and their referees don't know anything. a biased company. I gave them a lot of evidence. I had evidence from the authorities that it would be parked in that area.. stop doing business with this company. I paid exactly 170GBP because of the employees who did not know the job.

A total con. Impossible to log in or create account to appeal and then says once you have entered initial details you can’t appeal in writing. TOTAL CON. I tried to pay for parking and the Poppay app said I ‘can’t pay for parking car park full’, there were at least 6 spaces free. I drive off and they still sent me a fine! Submitted that evidence and got a lengthy letter back saying the parking attendant was there which is a total lie, there never is one this is a piece of waste ground with a Poppay sign up. I intend to sue NPM and report them to the local council. I also intend to expose this locally so no one parks there

I can't believe I spent over three hours trying to appeal my PCN with Theias. The website just kept saying incorrect password although I knew this could not be true. Just realised that the company is a con working with the company who issused the PCN in the first place. Parking control Management (UK)Ltd ('PCM'). I will wait for my day in court.
The first red flag is that if 50% of £100 is paid in the first 14 days then I only have to pay £60 which everyone knows is not 50% of a £100.

This company is the biggest scam company I’ve ever encountered , it’s impossible to lodge an appeal to them or chat to someone. My initial appeal was rejected so I tried theiasappeal system , don’t bother , it will not let you appeal , not recognising your email even though they’ve used it before for the initial appeal , I even tried to speak to someone or leave a recording so that my second appeal is logged somewhere but even that is impossible , my advice to anyone who has had one of these brazen unlawful fines is to not pay it & if it comes to it have your day in court as no judge would rule in favour of these cowboys.
