I tried to contact Customer Services after placing order which I tried to cancel (die to a mistake, with aim to placing corrected order).

Impossible to contact Tempest at all. They do not pick up any calls (tried over a week customer services, order line and reception). Also no answer to emails.

This is a company with £40m turnover pa. And nobody in the reception

Eventually I gave up. Appalling experience. Very dissapointed.

I’m deeply disappointed about these prices, which they haven’t mentioned anywhere during the graduation. Disgusting company and will not order from them ever.

extortionate prices for photos & how dare they charge £6.00 for postage for 28 days delivery - even small independent online sellers charge less for first class.

of course they don't mention prices anywhere on graduation day, misleading and careless towards customers who don't have a lot of money

This is my 3rd graduation and by far the worst service I have received.
My first two, the photographers were friendly and receptive. They would show you the image and ask if you like it.
now.. here is my third one. The photographer was rude and obnoxious. He refused to show us the photos on he's screen and insisted that we look at them after he has printed the photos you would need a magnifying glass to see.
Now I am trying to buy the frames... both my previous photos are dual photos, 1 of me and 1 of family. This stupid website does not even let you do that.
It doesn't event rotate the photo into the correct landscape position for you to review. Pooor

You get one chance to get a graduation photo, only one. These guys significantly reduce the chases of anything good coming out of that photo.

Universities need to think twice about their service providers...

The photos arrived within the 28 days, We were happy with them but they are rather expensive. The reason why the postage is is high is that the photo's are tracked by Royal Mail

The worst experience on my graduation day. Incredibly rude, blunt and lack of patience (complaining to a paying customer). Immensely unprofessional manner in photographing me for my solo shot, treating me as incompetent and only took two photos. Poor excuses that were quickly subsided once challenged, were given for not being able to take a photograph for a family of 9. If you are offering a professional photography service, with high rates and on such a special day - simply live up to those standards or don’t offer them at all. The University of Brighton should not be using this service for their celebratory ceremonies, otherwise it will in future upset others celebrating on their big day.

What a horrible company, brighton university should not be using this company for the Graduation photos, rude staff, unaccommodating, ruined a day for us that was otherwise very special and once in a lifetime. Please speak to your staff regarding their attitude. Do not conduct business in a customer facing industry if your staff are not prepared to deal with customers.

This company ruined our special day as a family!! Extremely unpleasant and unprofessional staff with no common sense! Stay away from this company if you wish not to have your day ruined.

I have bought school photos from Tempest for years, including just last September. Never cheap but compared to the price of these graduation photos they seem reasonable. £30 for one photograph, What? How is this possible? That's almost double what a school photo costs? So what is the difference? Are the graduation photos better quality? Are the mounts better quality? How can they be charging these extortionate amounts of money for one single photo? Outrageous. We also had a family version done which I'd also like to order, not to mention wanting to order some smaller ones for grandparents. My order would come to over £70 with postage, for two photos, plus 2 small copies! Daylight robbery, especially when people are extremely stretched financially. Only plus side was that our photographer at Exeter Uni was a lovely chap, although we were only with him for a maximum of 5 minutes. Company needs to take a long hard look at themselves though. Do they think that university graduates or their families are rolling in money? I don't understand the reason between the difference in price between school and uni. Someone please explain 🙄

Got a couple of graduation photos done and was excited to see the results. I knew that the photos weren't going to be cheap as that's how photography companies go but i was pretty shocked to find out how much they were offering for photos.
£30 for a single photo without a frame. its outrageous and if you have multiple pictures you want printed that aren't all the exact same then your going to be having to be digging deep into your wallet as its £30 per photo. mine came out at roughly over £100 for a few photos its insanity for what they are offering.
I cannot justify spending that much on a few photos. i would sooner just buy the digital versions and print them myself but they offer as little options as they can to squeeze money out of you. i mean a single photo on a CD???? what's that about.
Thankfully i have plenty of great pictures from family and friends of my graduation. but if this was my only chance of a photo on the big day this would have ruined my graduation.

TL;DR: Expensive, terrible website.

I had three photos taken on my graduation day and instead of a simple 'how may of each photo would you like?" tempest offer overpriced photo 'packs' with pre-set combinations of sizes / quantities.

Website is also clunky and hard to navigate.

Shockingly expensive. Terrible website.
Cheapest option is a single print in mount for £32.50, then add all other photos as an "add-on" on CD,
BUT you can only add ONE image per CD! So if you have 10 photos, that's:
£32.50 + 9*£19....oh and then another £6 for delivery.
Daylight robbery.

They list 28 days for order to arrive but it's now been nearly 8 weeks and nothing. No response from customer service either. Spent a small fortune on these photographs and such awful service. Why does postage cost £10 (no matter how much you spend) when they can't even get them delivered on time.

The website is hideously outdated. Only provided with tiny, grainy preview boxes for each photo and rip-off 'packages' which only allow you to order multiples of the same photograph rather than a mixture of 2 or 3. No examples provided of how the photos will look in a mount or the different frame options so you just have to hope for the best. They don't even list the different photo sizes on the page to order your photos - you have to dig through the website FAQs to find them.

AVOID! Book a private photographer for your graduation, it will probably be cheaper, more flexible and you'll get better photographs. And it will save the lengthy queues on the day.

I've now taken to emailing every contact email address I can find to try and get some sort of response/explanation as to where my order is.

Absolute mockery!!!! Outrageously expensive, clear exploitation of graduation pictures. On top of that, they ask for a month of processing and shipping time. You're better off hiring a private photographer than this!

Despite us being among the first people into the photography room on my graduation and there being no one behind us, the surly photographer hurried us through and took 4 photos in about 1 minute. Then, when ordering the photos afterwards, it turns out that you can order 1 photo for £30 (plus £6 p&p) or multiples of the same photo for up to £47.50. If, like me, you're the sort of person who doesn't want the same photo 10 times and would have liked a mix, then the minimum cost as a package is an eye-watering £91.50 (for 2 different photos, printed a few times in various sizes). You could have one copy of each for £30 each, but this again seems ridiculous. Wild profiteering from people who might just want a nice memory from their big day (which was of course already tainted by being shoved into position and hurried away by someone who acted like photography was the absolute last thing they wanted to do)

The Graduations team, not the senior management, are a great bunch of people dedicated to getting the best for the people buying their photographs.

Unfortunately, with the Graduations website software very out of date, with some graduates raising concerns about the site security and GDPR, it will always be a difficult site to defend until investment is made into bringing the system up to modern standards. Originally built by some very skillful untrained amateurs, the site is definitely showing its outdated side.

This does not detract from how hard the graduate team work and how professional they are when taking the snaps. However, without the investment in a proper e-commerce website, I am not certain of its longevity, especially given the new online payment regulations.

It appears very expensive and I am also not a fan of the photos themselves. They do not look natural with the fake certificate. Everything was rushed so there was no opportunity to do them again. Not sure whether I would recommend. In case I decide to order hopefully there won't be delays as has been stated by others.

Spoke to Emma, she gladly helped me understand the procedure of graduation photos and tried her best to help me understand what they can provide and can not. She was extremely supportive and kind, I felt very welcome to this company.

I've come to order my graduation photos and I'm absolutely appalled at the service and prices! For one- there is no choice at all; why do we have to order multiples of the same photo rather than being able to choose a few of the best? The packages on offer are redundant, I don't need 6 copies of the same photo but I would've liked the option to have 4-6 different images. The only way that is possible is to buy them individually at £15-20 each, and that's just for the basic images without frames! Ridiculous cost. You're essentially forced to either buy too many photos of the same image or fork out a ridiculous amount to get the selection you want. On top of that there is no customization features.... what if you don't want a funny-shaped mount and would prefer a solid square?

Reluctantly settled on purchasing just the one photo only to find out that postage is £6!!!!!!!! Why on earth is the postage that much for a single mounted photo without a frame?

Money-making rip off scheme that has no interest in the customer's needs. I'm very upset that my university chose this company.

I ordered my pictures in early April and till this day have not received my items. It’s been almost 2 months.

We were promised maximum wait of 28 days. I emailed to ask for an update and only then was I made aware of the delay. I received no compensation or refund. My emails were also ignored. Avoid using this for your graduations universities!!
