To start with great, After sales poor
To start with great, bought my car at the end of January though soon after had an error on the EML took it in advised it was a sensor in the exhaust and they would replace well it is now June, Ichave called and never get a response, I have driven a 40 min drive to be told on order and now sent emails to complain and be told it will be raised but still not fixed and still an issue.
So after care extremely poor, also do a 130 check though service was due in 4 months and that was not part of the purchase.

Positive experience
Had a really positive experience with Sytner Select Bristol. Lauren and Mark were both professional, friendly and genuinely helpful throughout the whole process. My car was in for it's annual MOT test and air-conditioning service.
I was booked in swiftly, and allowed to wait for the jobs to be completed, tea/coffee was provided.
I was texted when the car was ready.

Jasmine was extremely friendly yet…
Jasmine was extremely friendly yet professional. No hard sell just genuine honest help when helping us to find the right car to meet our needs. Dan was also really helpful in getting the car transferred from other site. Jasmine even drove my car home, with me following, so I didn't need to come back later to collect my old vehicle. Safety Recall Cars
Bought a car from the company and when asked if it was subject to a safety recall I was advised it wasn’t. The first message I get on the cars app it states it’s subject to a safety recall. The problem is known throughout the industry. Sytner tried to defend their position by saying they checked the .Gov website…but they didn’t check with the VIN. They didnt check with the manufacturer. Sytner did offer to warranty the car till the recall was complete. The insurance company refused to insure the car as it was purchased with a safety recall on it. If Sytner had undertaken their due diligence this could have been avoided. There were further issues with the car with a rust patch on the door, a constant brake fault and a loose brake lamp all of which they had agreed to repair. All of these listed items show they don’t undertake the checks they claim to.
The company took payment quickly but 3 days down and the refund has not been received.

At the time of sale, our team carried out the standard checks available to us, including the Government recall database, which did not indicate an outstanding safety recall. We appreciate your comments regarding VIN-specific manufacturer checks and understand your concerns. As soon as the recall information came to light, we worked with you to find a suitable resolution. Although Ford advised that they were continuing to retail these vehicles, with the battery charge limited to 80% until the recall remedy became available, we understood that this did not meet your expectations. We therefore agreed to purchase the vehicle back from you to resolve the matter. Regarding your refund, we appreciate that waiting for funds to clear can be frustrating. Once a refund is processed, it can take several working days for the banking system to complete the transaction, depending on your bank's processing times. We regret that your experience did not meet the high standards we strive to deliver and appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. We wish you all the best with your future motoring. Ignored as soon as cash changes hands.
Sytner Select market themselves as the seller of hand picked used vehicles. But in honesty it’s a classic budget car supermarket with fast sales and woeful aftercare.
Purchased a vehicle from a completely clueless salesperson who despite knowing I was coming, had no knowledge on the vehicle at all and spent most of the time trying to upsell services I was clear that I did not want.
The car developed significant faults within 30 days which the warranty company refused to repair due to the fact that the issues would have been present on sale. Although Sytner offered to fix some (not all) of the issues I decided to return the vehicle as it had clearly not undergone any sort of quality assurance by Sytner and I had already wasted 9 days having the car at Volvo for inspection and repair.
The process of returning the car was terrible.
The salesman needed prompting 5 times to respond. When I was finally passed to the after care team, after initial communication I was ignored. I had to reach out repeatedly via email and phone to get a response over the space of a few weeks. When the after sales team did finally get back in contact they blamed the fact they had been on holiday….this happened three times. As unbelievable as this is, I suggest they learn how to use an out of office function.
When I finally managed to return the vehicle. My payment was delayed by 3 days longer than I was told due to “an accounting error”. This resulted in me losing a deposit for another vehicle I had put down to replace the shed I had bought from Sytner.
The car came with mismatched low budget tyres which were not fit for a performance vehicle, nor had matching tread depths.
Car was advertised with full key set but didn’t have all of them on collection.
In total I sent 6 emails that went unanswered and called the dealership 13 times with no answer even after being routed to the reception team who appear to be as non existent as the after sales team.
I’ll never use them again.

Tom was fantastic
Tom was fantastic, very knowledable and patient with my constant questions and requests but he stuck with is until the end and we made a deal, 100% recomend sytner select bristol. Ended up with a Chery Tiggo 7 thanks to the hardwork of Tom,

Returned after the 5 years with our…
Returned after the 5 years with our previous car we got on PCP here and the process was seamless. Mark was fantastic, supported us with the whole process of part exchange.
We also dealt with Hanan & Alex who were extremely professional and friendly. They made what could be a stressful so easy. We are delighted with our new car on HP - thank you all! Great service!

I’d strongly urge anyone considering buying from this dealership to think twice. The service is attentive and responsive right up until you’ve paid—after that, you’re largely ignored. The “warranty” they promote offers little real value when calls and emails go unanswered.
