My friend and I booked a month-long stay and work package in Zante with this company, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. We initially paid £1 to secure our place, unaware that this fee was non-refundable, locking us into a total payment of £649. Upon arrival at the advertised hotel, we were made to wait for 2 hours, despite being promised complimentary drinks, which ended up costing us £25 each for just three pints of beer.

When we finally checked in, we were shuttled by a rude driver to a different location, a complete dump compared to what was advertised. The accommodations were filthy with unwashed pots and pans, a broken shower, no toilet paper, and a strict no-noise policy after 11 PM—utterly ridiculous for a place like Zante.

Despite our complaints to the rep, no changes were made. They claimed to contact management, but it seemed like a lie, as nothing improved. Additionally, we were charged an extra £150 for a bracelet that supposedly granted access to nightclubs and discounts, which was not disclosed beforehand. This fee included only a few horrid nightclubs, minimal discounts, and "family meals" that we had to pay for separately. The only somewhat decent event was a boat party, and even those tickets were £30.

Regarding the promised jobs, the company provided minimal assistance. They only pointed out places we could work at during bar crawls or gave us phone numbers that were mostly useless. Working there legally with a British passport is impossible, and you risk a £1000 fine if caught working as a rep.

We left after just one week, cutting our month-long stay short. Since then, we've tried to contact the company via email but have been completely ignored. We are now considering legal action.

Be cautious and thoroughly research before booking with this company. Based on our experience, I strongly advise against it.

Such a scam, I would not recommend this company at all if you wish to work in ibiza, everything that was promised on our confirmation was not received and numerous (around 40) of us in total all had similar issues with this company apologies for the longer one but read this before you book. So first things first the email confirmation stated the hotel we was staying in was called Pontiene Playa look nice on the pictures only we wasn't staying there.. so it was rumoured summer takeover could not get the accommodation cheap enough for the month £999 is cheap for accommodation if I'm honest but the hotel we was placed in was completely different and was instead called Vibra Calima, this was not communicated at all and we was only given accommodation details a couple weeks before we went out when we was added to a group chat.. the actual hotel was fine what can you expect for 999 except there was no balcony as advertised rather a railing with nothing there don't get me started on the rooms. Discount workers wrist band was advertised didn't receive one, instead was pressured into a over £200 party package wristband with places you could easily get Guestlist to this was promoted heavily by reps did not bother buying after talking to others though. The promised arrangement of job trials and recruitment days never happened.. they don't help get a job whatsoever, the recruitment day was booked a week in was cancelled shortly after I heard cuz the football was on.. We had a rep called Kieron who many of us messaged to help with jobs.. of course no response. Never saw him except the day we came... The cv we all sent.. no comeback you are basically on your own. Oh and they don't mention if you hold a British passport you need an NIE number to to open a bank account, be able to get the good bar jobs etc the NIE is not straight forward we was told by expats there it costs 300 euro, lawyers and 6 weeks to sort. If summer takeover would of yold us all this we would of planned ahead. You can try and get a cash in hand job that pays pennies but if the police catch you, you will be in a heap of trouble. I still had the time of my life despite the let downs of this company but you can 100% book your accom alone without these scammers and have a good time, a few of those that came out including myself have come home early due to us not getting what we was promised, struggle finding work and other stuff, just read this experience if you are thinking of booking!

Went to Zante for the month with Summer takeover and had Kelly as our rep. Kelly was so helpful in getting everything sorted, she made our induction week amazing!! Definitely recommend xx

I highly recommend booking with Summer Takeover. I did a month in Zante and it was amazing. Our Rep Kelly went above and beyond to make sure it was a great experience for everyone. The island is beautiful and I got to meet some great people while there.

The month was well organised from start to finish made to feel at home in Zante. Kelly was very good with all of us in the group couldn’t have been better.

Summertakeover is arguably the best working holiday Company I'm currently in zante and I'm absolutely loving it. Kelly Shaw it's literally the best rep that I ever had I was so stressed about getting jobs getting the accommodation sorted but she always there whenever I need her. This is a scam. My daughter paid £1 as she thought that was to get more information and apply and then immediately sent an email asking to cancel when she realisedthey would be taking more money to £999 in instalments and that was to commit and not just apply. They have now asked for £50 to cancel even though she sent the email minutes after applying. She has cancelled her card and will be reporting to her bank. Taking advantage of young adults and very misleading.
They can’t find you work on a UK passport and accommodation is substandard and a rip off if you do go
they’re very good and getting negative reviews taken down and putting up false ones

Other reviewers have said this can run into the hundreds and their terms say there are no refunds for cancellations at any time.

It is a scam unless you're happy to pay £850 to go to Tenerife for a week. you have been warned. Well done for looking for feedback first.wish we had I suspect the positive feedback is lies. They make you pay $1 to apply for the program, they do say this $1 is non-refundable, but after that you get automatically enrolled into the program without giving further information about the payments.

You can't cancel without paying an extra $60 for 'processing fees', and if you don't pay those $60, they'll take hundreds upon hundreds of dollars of your bank account.

DO NOT BOOK UNLESS YOU'RE SURE – you can't cancel this without giving them extra money.

PLEASE PLEASE DONT USE. Total scam. Just had a call with Barclays and they tried to take £640 after trying to take £59 the other day on an ‘automated monthly payment’. All the 5 star review are fake. They take £1 for you to register and then will charge you hundreds monthly because they put in tiny print that you they will do this (according to Barclays). Couldnt be more of a scam.

They took money from my bank when I told them I wouldn’t be able to come and work abroad they continued to process and take the £49 from my bank 😡😡😡

Ayia Napa 2023 what an experience this was from start to finish.
The reps Sam andToni helped me from the minute I arrived on the resort. Fun events from the day we arrived to help us settle in and meet everyone else. I didn’t enjoy the first job I started and was worried I wouldn’t enjoy the experience in my first week, but Toni helped me to find a new job ticket selling, this was perfect for me it gave me lots of free time to enjoy myself and do all the things I set out to do. Literally the best thing I ever done, was worried at first as I’d heard bad things about companies like this, but the experience was un matched, especially for someone like myself who struggles with confidence issues, I would never had done something like this previously but with the chats allowing you to meet everyone before you arrive, the welcome events when we arrived was quality too and helped us all to settle in then the reps helped out a lot introducing me to employees and giving me tips and hints along the way to secure my job and enjoy the summer experience. Accommodation is not a 5 star hotel by any means but had everything we needed including a pool and was minutes away from where we worked and the beach so was perfect for us. A little like uni accommodation in the sun. Would definitely do this again.

I wish I could give Summer Takeover zero stars, but unfortunately, that's not an option. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. Let me walk you through the series of deceitful practices and hidden fees that they conveniently fail to mention until it's too late.

Firstly, they lure you in with their £1 deposit scheme, making it seem like a steal of a deal. Little did I know, this was just the beginning of their scheme to siphon money out of unsuspecting customers.

What they conveniently fail to mention is the cancellation fee buried deep within the fine print of their terms and conditions. Nowhere during the booking process was I informed about this £49 cancellation fee. It's almost as if they're intentionally trying to catch customers off guard.

But wait, it gets better (or should I say worse). After deciding to cancel my booking due to unforeseen circumstances, I was slapped with a threat of an £898 charge for not paying the £49 cancellation fee. Yes, you read that right. £898 for a £49 cancellation fee that was never even mentioned to me in the first place.

Their false advertisement and deceptive practices are utterly unacceptable. It's clear that they prioritize squeezing every last penny out of their customers over providing honest and transparent service.

Save yourself the headache and avoid Summer Takeover at all costs. They're not worth the stress, frustration, and exorbitant fees they'll undoubtedly try to slap you with. Steer clear and book with a company that actually values its customers and respects them enough to be upfront about fees and policies.
