This is a big scam, you pay 1£ and if you try to cancel you have to pay 50£, please dont fall for it, i don’t recommend. BIGGG SCAM

Went out to work in magaluf may 2023 with summer takeover they helped me to get a job straight away as a pr for Alex's and ended up staying until September they were super helpful and even got me another job as a pool party host from June onwards and helped me move back into my original apartment later on in the season

Booked with summer takeover last year for Magaluf and had an amazing time, met loads of new people. They help you find work and set up job interviews for you, I ended up being a shot girl, pool party host and body painter. Decided to stay after the 1 month and they helped me find accommodation for the rest of the season. Would recommend anyone who is thinking of going on their own to just go for it. They ensure u meet everyone in the first week and set up loads of activities so you all bond. Matt and Tia were super helpful ❤️

My daughter has had the same experience as one of the reviews below, believing that her £1 initial payment was her only financial commitment, but having cancelled relatively soon after sign up she is now being hounded for a further £49 admin fee. They haven't been able to take it as she actually doesn't currently have enough money in her bank account. I have noted similar experiences reported on Mumsnet, Money Saving Expert and The Student Room websites going back about 3 years. The company response to the similar review below states that they are acting within the law and seems to suggest that this is a useful lesson in financial precautions for young people. Operating within the law and operating with good ethical practice are quite different things. I'm assuming that many young people have had this experience, above and beyond those who have taken time to post about it online. One would think that an ethical company would reflect on these young people's experiences with them and adjust their website accordingly to ensure that all those using the website are absolutely clear from the initial sign up that further will be taken from their account after their initial £1 payment if they decide not to proceed.

Had an amazing experience with Summer takeover in Magaluf. Reps were the best at helping with everything especially riding solo, even better that they sort accommodation for your first month as i think that is the hardest to come by. Having the monthly payment plan also is a bonus as i couldnt afford the package straight off. Would defo recommend

He cancelled within 2 hours at 21:52 on a Friday night so I very much doubt the accommodation was actually booked or allocated (no details of any accommodation specifics was sent) so you took £50 for nothing.
Further details a “passcode” you sent him has been provided. Surname of booking was Makinson.

Absolute scam! My son has paid £1 to sign up to gain information with a view to going to Ibiza next summer. Unfortunately he told me about this after paying the £1 which to me automatically rang alarm bells.
After doing some research I found some “real reviews” and read about awful unsafe and unclean accommodation and dreadful experiences (look at reviews on MSE, and The Student Room and Mumsnet). So he cancelled immediately and they have taken another £49 to cancel “the contract” This company is clearly enticing naive young people into signing up for agreements they don’t understand. Why take £50 for nothing? We will be contacting the bank to do a chargeback as I’m guessing a company who take money off kids for nothing won’t be forthcoming offering a refund. Absolutely disgusted!

Had the best experience in magaluf met some amazing people, and had the best rep amber who was so helpful and nice, she even brought me a drink on a night out, class

I went to Magaluf in June with Summer take over. Me and my friend has the most amazing experience with them. The apartment was just like the pictures and our rep Amber was the most amazing rep. She made the whole experience so easy, helped us with jobs ect and any other issues we had. We ended up staying at month longer just as we loved it so much. I would definitely recommend summer takeover to anyone who is looking to do a season.

Very poor organisation.
We had no hot water for the whole month.
4 people crammed into a double room, we had to push all the beds up the the wall so we could only just open the wardrobe.
We weren’t put into workers accommodation so we had no facilities whatsoever.
Asked for a stove and kettle twice, and was told both times we would get them, we didn’t. So we had to spend a lot of money buying food everyday.
2 plug sockets in the whole room.
Asked for wifi and they said they’d sort it, they didn’t, so no wifi for the whole month.
Had to pay extra for aircon as it’s on a meter.
You have to pay €50 for bills when you get there as if the money you’ve paid isn’t already enough.
You also have to pay €50 as a deposit which you will not get back despite the room being spotless.
You room will not be cleaned or given any clean sheets.
It is so unbelievably easy to get a job out there, there is seriously no benefit of going out there with a company, you are so much better going yourself and staying at apartments as they won’t try and rinse you for all your money.
I thought at least there would be events and things we would all go to as a ‘summer takeover’ group but there was nothing like that at all.

Don’t get me wrong, me and my friends had an unbelievably amazing time in Aiya Napa but I will say it was absolutely no thanks to summer takeover.

I had a great time in Ayia Napa where I stayed for the whole of august. Toni and Sam were very helpful reps and quickly replied if I needed anything sorting.

I went to Ayia Napa on the 1st of June ‘23 and what an experience it was! It was my first time doing a working holiday and not knowing what to expect but the reps from summer takeover, Sam and Toni always were there to help out if I had any questions or help with anything.

They helped me with sorting extra accommodation for July and august after my first month was over. Everyone over there were spot on and they made my first working holiday experience one to remember.

I’ve made some absolute belter people and I highly recommend anyone wanting to go out their comfort zones and do a workers holiday next year, go with summer takeover!

I’ve got the Napa blues with being back home in the UK but no doubt about it, I’ll be back next summer.

I really enjoyed my time in Ayia Napa with Summer Takeover, the reps were very friendly and we’re always their to help us when needed. Sam and Toni made me feel very welcomed and safe, i would recommend this experience to anyone and everyone.

I went out on the 27th June for a month and was one of the best months ever. Amongst all the fun activities we did, such as the boat parties, speedboats and blue moon party, it was the people that i met that made the month as amazing as it was. A special shout out to Kelly for being one of the best reps, sorting everything out whenever there was a problem and organising amazing events for all of the new arrivals. She really made us feel welcome from the moment we got there until the day we left!

Had a great time in my 7 weeks in Zante, loved having Kelly as a rep couldent have asked for any better. Always organised and supportive would recommend to all friends

Had the perfect time, would 100 percent recommend to anyone. Kelly our rep was a lovely girl who made my experience and was always on the end of the phone to help out with anything !

I travelled to Ayia Napa on June 1st with no experience travelling or living/working abroad alone! Now 2 months later I’m still here and happier than ever. Toni and Sam made my experience extremely smooth and easy, they’re extremely helpful and know what to do in any situation. All of the team at summer takeover are lovely and make your time so fun and have all the answers for you. I’ll definitely be back next year!!

Had the best summer of my life and met the best people. Kelly is the best rep you could ask for and will go out of her way day and night to make sure you’re always okay and having a good time. Recommend it to anyone considering looking to work aboard.

I went with summer takeover for my first season in zante. I spent the first month in accommodation witch was amazing, After that it’s a struggle to find accommodation even though your promised it. Most people paid hundreds of euro for places to stay and have been told they either had to leave or move accommodation after a couple of days. The first two weeks wore great after that once more arrivals came it was hard to get in touch with reps for anything. Our induction week that was meant to be the first week turned into the third week with 50 other arrivals and it was a mess. If anyone is thinking of going I’d wouldn’t recommend going with a company you’d probably get further going on your own and booking your own accommodation! I did have an amazing time and made friends for life other then a few downfalls.
