Stratstone did a good job with our recent vehicle purchase. Their communication was exellent and everything was as it should be. Currently, you have to move fast to secure good quality second hand vehicles at a fair price. Stratstone made that possible for us even though we live 250 miles away. Sarah was very helpful and guided us through the process.

Steve was great and I love my new car .

Craig was great when taking details of a new car to order and when when this proved impossible he found several cars for me to look at. When I decided which car I wanted he took me through the various controls etc. He kept in touch with me throughout and waved me off and the end of the process.

The only disappointing aspect of my purchase was totally beyond Craig’s. I was hoping to pick up my new car from the newMINI showroom. Not to worry, maybe next time.

Sale cancelled

Very disappointed to have found a great car only to be treated with disrespect, BS or incompetence, which led to me cancelling the purchase.

I was not greeted when I arrived, in fact the sales person who I had an appointment with found his mobile more interesting, while I waited for 3 minutes and someone else to greet me, which was not the best of starts.

When shown the car I noted the tyres looked low. Steve said Stratstone policy was to change tyres if they were at 4mm or less. Otherwise happy with the car and agreed sale and collection. Before transferring purchase price I asked to double check the tyres and were told one was 4.2 and one was 4.5 with the others being over 5mm. I stated I’d be displeased with being only 0.2mm over and asked the company to go halves or reduce the price on one of the two tyres, which was declined. Steve then told me new tyres are usually around 6.5mm, when in fact most manufacturers are around 8mm. I asked if the 4.2mm measurement was for 75% spread or highest point and this was not answered instead I was then informed that Stratstone’s replacement policy was 3mm. I pointed out he’d said 4mm, that Mini and BMW approved were both 4mm.

Based on misinformation and lack of trust in the sales team I am looking for an approved used Mini elsewhere. Very disappointing and not representative of a premium brand and quality service that is portrayed.
