Stratstone Mercedes of Hamilton have an awful lot to learn about customer service!
I bought a car from Straits Mercedes Benz of Hamilton in August. Initially things went ok, I went to see the car and agreed a price, but when I went to pick the car up I was totally ignored for 25 mins ( no welcome, no offer of toilet or cup of tea despite travelling over 100 miles to the dealership) then no proper handover of the car. I was just given the keys and led out of the door into the pouring rain and the car pointed out to me I was £25k poorer and feeling very let down and deflated. I was prepared to forgive all this, but when the car developed a fault ( issues with the black plastic on the dashboard flaking off) after only 5 months. I thought Stratstone Mercedes of Hamilton would easily sort it out for me. But not a chance !!! After a couple of frustrating weeks of not answering emails, (excuses like having to walk through 6 doors to parts department! ) and not returning calls, Keiran in sales decided that a faulty dashboard panel on a 4 year old car is not covered by warranty and this kind of deterioration is perfectly normal on a Mercedes. His harsh decision has left me with a £400 bill and an extremely poor view of this particular Mercedes Dealership. I’d have been quite happy with an offer to contribute to the repair and a bit of sympathy, but Stratstone Mercedes would rather have a very upset customer than consider any form of a compromise or agreement. Fortunately Mercedes themselves have taken a much more “customer focused” stance and have been much more helpful reaching a mutually acceptable solution. You don’t expect “back street garage service” when you buy a Mercedes care from a authorised dealer, but that’s that’s the level of service I received at from this Stratstone Hamilton . I won’t ever go back and never recommend anyone else to buy a car from them. I’d advise anyone else thinking of buy a car here to think very carefully before parting with their money. As a contrast, my wife recently had a issue with her Kia and the local Kia dealership sorted it out without any fuss! Perhaps Kieran and a few others from Stratstone Mercedes in Hamilton should visit a local Kia dealership to learn a bit customer service!

Graham helped us with a coolant light that came on just before Christmas holidays and we were looking at travelling a far distance. He helped us right away with the issue which was great. This is the 3rd car we have bought with Graham over the years and he has always helped with any problems big or small. Thanks again.
