I went to look at the car i had picked and it was not road worthy with numerous faults showing on dash. Whilst at the sale room I phoned to say I would not be purchasing the vehicle. I was told that payment to garage would be stopped and my monthly payment for the warranty would be stopped. I have received numerous letters and messages about payment and I have phoned many times to explain what has happened to be told that it would be sorted out but still receiving messages. Not very happy 😡😡😡

This company is good when they are selling but the customer service is very poor.
It has been over two months l can’t access my account. When you contact them they say they are escalating to IT department but nothing has materialized. They always dismiss with empty promises.
I have never missed a payment but l can’t manage my own account.

I had a great experience with Startline Finance. My finance was secured through Zuto, and the whole process felt smooth and stress-free from beginning to end.
The paperwork was simple and easy to complete, everything was set up quickly, and the money was sent over to the dealership without any delays.
Overall, a really straightforward and efficient service, highly recommended!

If I could put a zero star I would…absolutely the worst finance company to go with..if I could advise anyone in this world anything I would say stay well clear of this company!!!!!!!
I was pressured into agreeing to having a car threw car loans 365…it was a bmw 1 series with 86k on clock…I asked about service history issues that we’re advisories on mot..was told it had full SH..all issues have been sorted..and I had nothing to worry about..they paid for it a week before I got to see it in person..had to travel 140 mile to collect it..on the way back the issues started to show..none of which was in the add..so I rejected the car 2 days after being in my possession..only for start line to try and force me to keep it..with threatening letters ..tryna force me to pay for it..telling me one thing but telling the dealership another…. This company doesn’t give a monkeys about there customers..and only want to make there commission from the deal…I seriously hope this company goes to the gutter..they are ripping of the people who need it the most

I would not recommend Startline Motor Finance based on my experience.
I purchased a vehicle through HP finance via Zuto, which was later found to be unfit for purpose. Despite reporting faults early on, the process of resolving the issue was unnecessarily long, stressful, and difficult.
It took months of chasing, providing evidence, arranging an independent inspection, and escalating the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service before a fair resolution was reached. At several points, communication was poor and progress appeared to stall, particularly when the supplying dealer failed to cooperate.
While the complaint was eventually upheld and my finance was cleared off, Startline accused me of causing excessive cosmetic damage to the vehicle (the vehicle had been stationary for 4 months waiting for collection and I did under 500 miles in it). It took another 3 months after challenging this and demanding proof the damage happened in my care and the ombudsman involvement for them to then refund me what they had taken. They also charged me for an extra 200+ miles and refused to freeze my HP payments whilst the dispute was ongoing, after I explained from the start my financial situation. It should not take this level of persistence (for clarity, 7 months all together of chasing and fighting) for a customer to receive what they are legally entitled to.
I would advise anyone considering finance to be aware of how challenging the process can be if something goes wrong. Fight for your rights and contact citizens advice and the financial ombudsman for further guidance. Do not let them win.
It’s concerning to read the amount of reviews from other customers in my situation. I had to report the vehicle to the DVSA for a suspected fraudulent MOT (after breaking down a month after a ‘clear’ MOT pass certificate) and trading standards on the dealership.
Be wary.

Steer well clear of these cowboys…
Never before come across a company that will set out to make your life worse if you dare make a query or complaint.
They claim online account accepts online payment, it doesn’t. Don’t waste your time.
Falsely added missed payments to my credit report after they were reporting information wrong. Seems like it is on purpose according to other reviews to ensure you cannot refinance your car elsewhere and are stuck with these subprime rates.
Just use anyone else other than these.

Fantastic company, I have been dealing with a rejection with the dealership for a month, it finally was set to them they processed it and returned the payment that was made all in 2 Hours couldn't ask for a better service this is what all companies should strive to be like.

Startline Approved Me When No One Else Would
When I applied for car finance in late 2024, my Experian score was in the very poor category (under 500). Most lenders instantly declined me — but Startline looked past the score, reviewed the bigger picture, and helped me finance my first car: a 2017 Ford Fiesta EcoBoost.
From a lending perspective, they were smooth and efficient. The finance was arranged through Credit Plus and everything was transparent from the start. When the vehicle later developed a serious engine fault, I saw first-hand that Startline understand their legal and ethical responsibilities under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. They didn’t back away — they played their part.
They funded vehicle recovery, stayed involved throughout the repair dispute, and allowed the process to be resolved fairly. That’s rare in today’s finance landscape, especially for customers rebuilding their credit.
Thanks again to Startline — you were the first company that took a chance on me. I won’t forget that.

Pretty bad so car 1000 u added on 5000 how pay over 5 years paid 4900 paying it off early 4year because car was write off now still got 8900 pay work that out people even though 5000 added on space 5 years incance paying off now right off someone hit me still paying that I can't login in to anything will mot let me this not right atall settlement was that so bad never ever go with u again now lefted now car u had 4900 all ready 8900 off car incance how this right only had car for year it joke people get thing from them make sure proof paper never had any that to gun to see someone about this think it wrong have Dyslexia so writing not that great this so wrong lefted without car and money they gain it all
