Nick, Mike and Joe were great. Explained exactly what they were going to do and worked non-stop to achieve this. Roof looked fantastic afterwards.

Nick and Mike were fantastic. Arrived early, explained the process, laid out sheets and carried out a really thorough clean and carried out minor repairs. It was a really cold and miserable day but they did a great job and tidied everything up before they left. They even took the time to speak to our neighbour and let him know what was happening. Our roof looks as good as new. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I was given a 30 minute explanation beforehand in a zoom call about how the work would be carried out. Sheets put down, safely cleaned and cleared up, washed down and all mess taken away. All within the day!

Our grateful thanks to Nick and Mike for their professionalism and expertise in removing what seemed to us a lot of moss, undertaking minor repairs to our roof and cleaning-up afterwards. They were friendly, kept us informed as to what they were doing (and finding) throughout the day and very hard-working. We have no hesitation in recommending Smartshield UK - thanks again to Nick and Mike - we now have what looks like a new roof!

Arranging a roof clean for a whole block of flats meant there was bound to be concerns. Right from the start Stuart was very communicative and patient with every query that was asked by all the owners of the flats.

The chaps on the day did an absolutely fantastic job. They arrived 40 minutes early and despite the torrential rain, worked tirelessly for the whole day. The following day they again arrived early and communicated everything that they were doing and kept the flats informed as to when they were working above them. They did a brilliant job cleaning up, even the most difficult of flat owners couldn’t find anything to complain about! And finally, what a superb result! The roof looks amazing! So clean - it could be brand new!

On contacting this company I was told that I would be dealing with a proper professional company. The reality is quite different.
Having arranged for them to apply roof paint to my roof, I was pleased with the initial roof coating work (team turned up late, booked in for 9.30/10 am, arrived after 1.00pm, no call to advise of late arrival, had to chase). On completion the roof looked smart with it's new coating, although looking up from the ground it is very difficult to identify any defects. The job was paid for right away on completion, although no paperwork was made available I was told it would be sent on later. That was on 25th June 2020.
Shortly after completion of the work I had my windows cleaned, what I initially thought was dust, turned out to be evidence of roof paint 'overspray' splattered all across brand new windows, the rough residue can be felt and seen. I contacted Stuart requesting the outstanding paperwork and also requesting that the damage be rectified. I was promised a return visit to clean the 'overspray' and that an invoice would be sent. No apology was offered nor any follow up call to ease our worries. After repeated chasing,many promises were made to attend to the damage and were broken, followed by excuses. Having waited patiently at home for visits only to be disappointed, the defective work has still not been attended to, as of today 17th December. An incorrect VAT invoice arrived on 16th November.
Professional customer service means ensuring complaints and problems are dealt with promptly and efficiently thus ensuring a satisfied customer who will in turn have a positive experience to share with others – perfect marketing. Offering up a string of excuses and counter claims is not what the customer needs to hear. Actions speak louder than words and this company needs to live up to it's claims. There is no excuse for poor communication, broken promises and disregard of customer concerns.
I would not recommend this company and would advise caution when considering dealing with them.

We had the lads from smartshield turn up to clean our roof, they done a great job, was punctual and very polite they even replaced some tiles that were Damaged would highly recommend thanks guys

The guys turned up at my property at 08:30 as promised, explained everything they were going to do polite friendly and hard working the work was completed without a hitch. The office staff were courteous and helpful the whole experience was perfect would recommend to anyone thanks again guys

The reason for the poor review is because of the bad customer service from Stuart.

The service received from the workmen on the day was good, and they are assets to the company.

Stuart makes false promises and once the job has been paid for, you cannot get hold of him for any remedial work.

Kind, considerate and great value for money. Smartshield was great from the beginning. Stuart personally phoned me and walked me through the services they provide and the price. We had another roofer quote over twice the price and say we needed repair work done for our roof which would cost more on top. Smartshield offered to take a look for free on the day. Although they were heavily booked the managed to squeeze us in for 2 days time to help with us meeting our timeline for selling our home. On the day the Smartshield operatives were very efficient and friendly and did a great job despite it being awful weather. After a check of the roof area confirmed no extra repairs were needed and the roof was just due a good clean! Thank you so much and I will make sure to recommend Smartshield.

I am a very happy customer, Smartshield completed a roof clean for me yesterday and I could not be more impressed. The roof was badly in need of cleaning, it had many years of moss growth which looked awful and smelt even worse and now this has completely gone. The tiles have been totally rejuvenated leaving me with what looks like a new roof. I must also thank Nick and Mike for working so hard on this job and leaving the roof and surrounding area spotlessly clean. This is a professional company and I would have no hesitation in highly recommending their services. Thank you Stuart the owner, a great job!

We were concerned at what might happen if we had 26 years of moss and algae removed from our extensive roof. However, Stuart was reassuring and answered every question we had prior to the event. Pete and David arrived today to carry out the work. They worked incredibly hard all day. In preparation they moved all items from around the house and covered the ground with sheets to collect the considerable amount of debris. The end result is simply amazing and we feel as if we have just moved to a new house. Quite a breezy day, meaning that dirty spray did fly around to surrounding neighbours but they even sprayed off the neighbours cars, drive and path. Moss removal is a messy process but all very clean and tidy tonight and we are grateful for a very professional job.

This was our second time using Smartshield UK on a recently purchased property and we couldn't be happier with the service and result. Nick and Mike arrived on time, set up and got straight to work professionally and cleared up diligently. Top job👍

I promised Stuart that I would write a review saying how awful they were but, unfortunately, I cannot!!
Connor and Danny arrived early and immediately started work. No dithering about, no humming and haaring as most workers do. They were extremely diligent in their work. All told, they worked for nearly 7hrs with only short breaks for lunch and coffee break. Very impressed. Very polite, respectful and very decently presented. A very pleasant change to have young men with values.The cleaning up after was very impressive as moss makes such a mess. (Although they did decline to do my housework!!!) .Stuart was very helpful with his knowledge initially and afterwards. I therefore would like to say:Thank you, I certainly will recommend you.

Mike and Nick were great. Really easy to have around and worked really hard all day. Roof looks amazing - even moved garden furniture and put it all back. Totally recommend 100%. Brilliant. Thank you.

The guys did a good job with the roof cleaning and cleaning up afterwards. The cost was very competitive so I would recommend them.
