Have been using this company for many years for plumbing, heating and electrical jobs. Fantastic company. Always very reliable, the office girls are very friendly and efficient, engineers turn up on time, they are always very pleasant, trustworthy and efficient. Would definitely recommend them.

My heating system failed mid-December
My heating system failed completely in mid-December. I got quotes from two companies before choosing Anderson & Sons. I needed the hot water cylinder and boiler replaced, and a chemical power flush done for the whole central heating system. They did this work over the Christmas/New Year period and were very reliable. They also did the safety inspection and issued the new gas safety certificate. They are dependable, professional and they send clear communications about the work.

Excellent service, installation was done very quickly and all rubbish taken away including old boiler. Subsequent service has been marvelous, engineers are always polite and efficient. I would have no reservations about recommending this business to anyone looking for plumbing/heating work.

Great service.
Situation: Property referb. Very old systems and tricky spaces.
I called for a quote on an old boiler.
Sahir attended got to work on the diagnoses.
Then full explanation of the situation.
No hard sales techniques or recommendations for a total refit to Combi system.
Once agreed, Sahir then solved three other problems / “brick walls” regarding my plans for the property.
Sahir listened to all my plans and came up with solutions. Again no pushy sales pitch or pressure to make quick decision.
I now have the majority of my plans for the property, and a roadmap to completion.
I will be using Anderson and Sons from now on. I am a landlord and have had many many experiences with pluming companies and plumbers over the last decade.

Andersens piping/tiling right choice
Andersens responded to my problem immediately. They sent two experts Nishard and Ibrahim for bathroom piping and tiling. They brought perfect solution , quick and proper fix, clean job after finishing. I recommend Andersens as an established company versus unknown local ones. Go for the known name always.

Disappointing experience with emergency boiler repair
I had a very disappointing experience with C Anderson & Sons LLP regarding emergency boiler works last week.
I was assured that the issue was minor and would be resolved the following day, which led me to proceed under time pressure while without heating or hot water. Unfortunately, the work was not completed and the boiler remained non-functional.
I raised concerns immediately and did not agree to further payment given the outcome, yet my card was subsequently charged.
The job report provided did not clearly explain what work had been carried out or why the repair failed, and referenced photos and notes that were not supplied.
I have since obtained independent advice and alternative quotations which contradict the explanations originally given. I am now pursuing a refund through formal channels.
I would advise others to exercise caution and to obtain multiple quotes before proceeding.

We understand how stressful it is to be without heating or hot water, particularly when emergency works are required, and we regret that this visit did not meet your expectations.
Our records show that our engineers attended as arranged and carried out diagnostic and investigative work on what proved to be a complex fault. With emergency boiler call-outs, initial assessments can sometimes change once the system is fully inspected on site, and unfortunately not all issues can be resolved within a single visit. The charges applied relate to attendance, investigation, and work carried out, in line with the terms agreed at the time of booking and authorised prior to works commencing.
That said, we take concerns regarding communication, documentation, and payment authorisation very seriously. This job is currently under internal review, and we have been attempting to engage with you directly through the appropriate channels to address the matters raised.
We don’t feel it’s appropriate to discuss detailed technical or payment matters in a public forum; however, we remain committed to resolving this fairly and transparently. Specially good with this older person.
I chose this company because they are listed by Age UK as welcoming work with older people. My domestic plumbing let me down at a very busy time of the year. They responded promptly, first to stabilise the problem and restore some service. Then within a couple of days they planned and carried out the improvements I needed to ensure full service. They did all this without making a fuss, and were careful to leave everything in a usable condition after each session. One of them even went out of his way to make an extra visit late in the day when anyone else would have gone home, because of a detail I had overlooked. I will not think twice about calling on them again if I need their help.

trying to locate a water leak
the plumber come out with all machines to locate the water leak. He pulled up flooorboards in the kitchen and bathroom and found no water leak. Then Neal the boss came as well to help. At the end there was no leak at all. I received a report and told Thames water they have a problem but its not in the property!

Very disappointing service!
Very disappointed that Andersons’ plumber (£150 call/out charge!) was unable to resolve our persistent long-standing overflow water leak through the ceiling - despite actually identifying the problem and being personable.
Experienced freelance plumber subsequently engaged by us last Sunday in desperation who switched off water supply in the pavement outside to renew faulty ball valve on tank in loft and charged only £170 for over two hours+ work!
Have always recommended Anderson & Co locally but no more as they need to employ more experienced and pragmatic plumbers!
Very sad!
(FYI £150 was paid to C. Andersons & Sons by NatWest Debit Card on 28/11/25 for a gas call/ out and another £150 was paid to C. Anderson & Sons on 03/12/25 by John Lewis credit card for a plumber call/out. Both the NatWest & John Lewis accounts are in my wife’s name of Ann Rosenberg - proof of payments to follow if I can take screenshots! £300 waste of money!!).

Do NOT trust for Emergency Plumbing.
Honest Review:
- Called at 06:47 for emergency plumber due to blocked toilet - told them I needed an emergency plumber. They informed me they'd send someone immediately (& advertise as being in my home town - Battersea).
- Plumber arrived at 9am - not an emergency call-out.
- Fixed a fairly simple issue, but took 1.5 hours to do so (don't have evidence to say it wouldn't take this - so cannot be too judgmental - but it was unblocking a toilet).
- Charged me £320, based on emergency plumbing rate, despite plumber working normal business hours, and not coming out in a time-frame anywhere near an emergency and they'd promised (w/in one hour).
- Complained - spoke to office - said someone would be in touch ASAP. Didn't had to chase, and they offered a tiny refund on account (to spend more money with them - the audacity is phenominal).
I would put them firmly in the catagory of will screw you in any way to make £££ out of you.
