Called stuart in the morning with storm effect for our roof and came quickly sorted out soon.

From start to finish my complete experience with Smartshield UK with just above and beyond, from my first point of contact with Stuart @ head office to the end result completed by two very experienced professionals, smartshield response to my quote was very quick and it was clear that Stuarts knowledge and n roofing was good and his passion for the business also showed, Nick & Gervase arrived sharp and early they protected all surrounding areas and worked nonstop until the roof was completed, the cleaned my property so well it looked better than it did before they arrived, they also took the same care for Neighbours properties, we then done a walk round and completed a sign off form to allow me to sign the works off to my satisfaction and believe me it was…. Really impressed. Aiden and Brendan, and the rest of the guys were punctual, polite and professional.

They answered all my questions over a 2-day job, cleaning the roof, patio and drive, as well as a roof treatment - maki sure I was happy with everything before finishing.

They cleaned up after themselves thoroughly, put all our garden furniture back in place and left everything spotless.

Would absolutely recommend.

Stuart and his team went above and beyond to help my elderly mum with a leaking conservatory. When a roof and gutter clean didn't solve the problem they returned super quickly to diagnose and fix the problem. Couldn't fault the service. Thank you so much.

We hired Smartshielduk to clean and treat our roof which was very badly infested with moss and algae. Stuart and his team travelled hours to get to us but arrived promptly and got to work immediately. What a result. The roof looked literally like new and everything was left extremely clean and tidy. Polite and courteous throughout I would not hesitate in recommending Smartshielduk to anyone.

I was introduced to your company by a friend. As a result I made contact and subsequently received a quote to clean my roof of moss followed by extensive anti-fungal treatment. I accepted what I believe to be a very reasonable quote and a start time and date was supplied. On the 23rd November at 08.30 am sharp, two operatives arrived at my premises. They introduced themselves and started work without delay. the process took most of the day but once complete and the mess caused was totally cleaned up, my property looked as if it had just been built. I am totally satisfied with the result and must say how prompt, polite and industrious the two operatives were. I would be most happy to recommend your company and the quality of your work to anyone.

In response to your reply- the other company wanted 100% payment upfront! I chose not to use them, which is exactly as I explained to you - it was not their choice but mine as I want to use a reputable company- you were very quick to agree with me regarding how asking for 100% payment before the work is done is a red flag, so which is it - you think I had a lucky escape, or them!!

I never said how happy I was with your quote at all, simply that I had others who were quoting and that I'd get back to you if we wanted to go ahead.

And I never said the other company would start immediately, just that they are able to book me in immediately, to start the work very quickly.

Be aware, the more you try to back up your first reply with inaccurate facts, the more I will edit and respond here. I've read your other reviews and those comments, plus your continued unprofessional manner in responding here, has made me realise how lucky we were not to use you.

Very unprofessional upon calling me to follow up on their quote, which was only provided over the phone based on looking at Google maps!
I explained that I'd chosen to use a company who were more local and who had actually come out to the property and tested a patch of our tiles to show us the result and who could fit us in quite quickly. The result was to scoff and say, so local and so quickly that they're clearly not busy - very unprofessional toward another company, who are listed on check a trade and have far more positive reviews anyway. The cost of the work is the same, but the attitude is far far different!!

Aiden and Jake arrived today and no sooner had they parked up but the job was on. They were both very professional, polite, courteous and respectful of my property. Not only did they do a great job on the roofs but cleaning up afterwards. The amount of moss and muck that came off the roof was washed off the walls, paving and windows. Then they contacted my neighbours either side to clear up anything that has dirtied their properties.
Price quoted was the price paid.
Thinking of having them back in the spring to clean my block paving and patios.

Had our roof cleaned and it has exceeded our expectations. So impressed with the process from start to finish, everybody I have spoken to has gone up and beyond, very informative, the guys that came to do the works were very friendly and answered any questions with no hesitation. They left my property cleaner with no mess.

Our neighbours were so impressed they have also booked to get their roof cleaned.

I have used smartshielduk for the second time now WOULDNT GO ANYWHERE ELSE NOW , i Had my roof cleaned and treated by smartshielduk , fantastic company very professional and the boss Stuart kept me informed of the process, good workmanship the guys who come to do the job was very polite and friendly, i was recommended to them and glad i made the decision to use smartshielduk and would highly recommend to my friends & family thanks stuart and the team

I had my roof cleaned by smart shield a couple months ago. What I hadn’t realised is that this involved jet washing the roof - something that should NEVER be done as it halves the life of your roof tiles and also removes the protective coating.
Whilst the roof does look nice and clean, the individual that cleaned my roof didn’t take the right approach and was jet washing upwards which caused a major leak through my house. I’ve never had a leak before with heavy rain so it was pretty clear the leak was from the jet washing.
The down pipes were not cleared once the job was done and so filled with moss so that when it subsequently rained, rain water was going down the sides of the external wall and causing damp inside.
I called the main office to have these issues addressed. A different individual came to sort the down pipes (but only checked one). He also didn’t put it back in place properly so had to return again to fix it in place. He also reviewed the jet washing that was initially done and confirmed the leak was from jet washing upwards. When I called the main office to tell them all of this they were completely in denial (and very defensive) about the entire thing and have done absolutely nothing to compensate me for the damage they have caused to my property and the subsequent stress and expenses incurred.

Do not recommend this company at all. At the very least I’d have expected a refund (even if partial to cover damages caused by them).

We had our roof cleaned and a new dry verge system fitted by Smartshield last month (August 2021). The quote we received was highly competitive and I thought the work completed by Danny, Nick, Brendon and Joe was really excellent. We have a large bungalow roof that hadn't been cleaned in some decades, and was thick with moss. The guys turned up on time, prepared the area well and worked unstintingly. The roof is now spotless and not a tile was damaged. Our neighbours are very complimentary! The new dry verge system was fitted quickly and professionally, and it looks so much better than the cement it replaced. The guys even took the extra time to repoint our roof ridge tiles when they were fitting the dry verge, which is above and beyond. The roof really looks like new. Afterwards, they cleaned everything up, both around our house and for one of our neighbours who got some moss in their garden. Overall, I can't praise the work enough - Danny, Nick, Brendon and Joe are a credit to the company. Highly recommended, both for price and quality.

Nick and his team were very organised and did a very good job, the tidy up could have been a bit better but it was at the end of a long and full days work

Fantastic job done by Nick & Brendan yesterday they explained every step of the way what was going to happen. My roof looks brand new, so good too get rid of the moss. Nick & Brendon, who arrived on time. They are polite. Both of them explained the exact process of how they plan to remove the Moss. They laid sheet where all the dirt moss would land. They did not waste time and took time ensuring every bit of the moss was removed. They answered all the questions which I asked them. After the clearing job was done. Both guys cleaned up the back and front garden, they also cleaned up next door neighbours garden. Ensuring the was left cleaned. Out of 10, l would mark Nick & Brendon for the brilliant work they have done. I would recommend both Nick & Brendon and the Smartshield UK to my relatives and friends.
