Trainers were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Great trainer. I found Kim to be brilliant at explaining all the information over the three days. She also made sure she understood our roles and gave really relevant information for all of us the whole way through.
Kim always made sure we understood everything and gave lots of opportunity to ask questions and have discussion as a group.
It was also really helpful that Kim introduced discussions on work or personal experiences on lots of the subject matter. This really helped talk about real life case examples which makes learning much easier.

The leader, Eddie was friendly, clear and thorough but the course didn’t feel overwhelming. I completed the 2 day paediatric first aid course and was nervous to start with but it was a fun day of practical learning and very informative.

The instructor explanations was with real-life examples made the time fly by. She broke down stressful situations into manageable steps so I feel prepared to act
Having a good instructor with excellent job balancing real-world practical scenarios with essential theory. The environment was welcoming, questions were encouraged, and the equipment was clean and modern.

The FAAW Course was up to date with current legislation and the methods of first aid, the trainer Simon was 100% informative and had an excellent teaching style, i would recommend the course to any company or individual needing the qualifications.

Andrew was brilliant. I've done many First aid at work courses but non of them have been ran by St John's Ambulance. This course was by far the most informative and professional, Andrew delivered it superbly. Highly recommend.

Our trainer Julie was great, she ran through the refresher course at an appropriate pace for existing first aiders, however I do think this course could be shortened to 1 day - we took a lot of breaks and did alot of activities that took up unnecessary time. In terms of content, a few people including myself noticed that acronyms have become longer, new acronyms and terms introduced which make things more difficult to remember in a crisis situation. I think it needs stripping back to the common sense basics and every learning material should be thought about in the context of someone who is faced with a situation and has basic FA knowledge.

I felt the training was too brief and not specific enough.

We were then taking around the building to be shown protocol but they had either failed equipment or checks not up to date themselves.

I found the course very well put together, simple and lots of interaction from the delegates, which helped with the nerves. I also like the demonstration and play with the extinguisher. The location was easy to find with lots of car park space. The instructor was brilliant, related alot of the course to everyday life, so we all to understand.

Really enjoyable course, specially with our NZ trainer. Learnt tons and managed to practice many things, even when we only did 1 day course. Besides the knowledge, I also got to learn about St John's, and its volunteering and accessible First Aid kit that everyone should have at home
