BEWARE - Avoid at all costs

Ordered a sink and tap from this company on 24th August 2020 for my 86 year old mothers kitchen refurbishment. Items were delivered to my mother’s house. The courier carried them into my mum’s house as she is frail and the items remained untouched
there until 24th September 2020.

My wife is in the government shielding group so we were not able to take delivery or check whether items were ok

The kitchen fitter rang me that morning to say that when he removed part of the packaging he found that the composite sink was split in half.

I straight away contacted sink-taps.com and was met with the reply that I should have checked the item within three days and no replacement or refund would be forthcoming as I probably damaged the sink myself. I was emailed by a customer service member who basically told me to take or leave it.

Without doubt this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
We are £140 out of pocket I have had to order another sink for a little more money from a reputable company.

PLEASE AVOID

Dear Mr Rumley

The product you ordered was a fragile product that needed to be shipped on a specialist pallet service. On the email advising of the delivery date (sent two days in advance) it was made very clear the product had to be inspected whilst the driver was still there and that NO CLAIMS could be made once the goods had been accepted. If the date was not convenient or the address needed to be changed, this was all advised as being possible.

Instead, you decided (without the knowledge of anyone else) that you would let your 86 year old mother accept the delivery and be responsible for inspecting the goods.

Im afraid that as we will always try and do our very best to resolve any issues, the fact that you ignored all instructions and let someone else accept and sign for the goods, meant it was impossible for us to get the delivery company to agree to a claim.

An email is sent out before delivery advising of the need to accept. a large sticker on the top of sink says DO NOT ACCEPT unless you have checked. Our terms and conditions on the order also again state this. I'm really not sure how much more we can do to tell customers to simply open a box and check it before you accept?

I'm sorry you were not happy with the service you received, I have genuinely looked at the whole process and feel we could not have done more But I am still sorry that we have not met your expectations and that you fell we could have done more for you.

Excellent customer service and products…

Excellent customer service and products - I bought a tap 4 years ago which developed a problem, emailed sinks-taps and had a reply within minutes signposting me to the manufacturer with the product code and phone number to call and i should have a couple of valves in 7 days time!! Happy customer :-)

Queried stock level and got a response within minutes. Couldn’t fault this support so placed order as was the best price I’d seen.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE - BEWARE!!!

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE - BEWARE!!!

They have delivered a broken/damaged sink twice (even the replacement sink was damaged). No one is offering a refund or solution, not answering the phone or replying to e-mails anymore, no reaction or help, absolute disgrace! They also want a "consignment charge of £78.00 plus VAT" for a pallet company which delivered their broken products, very dodgy indeed. Is this even legal?!

Now I have two damaged sinks at home and can't go on with my kitchen refurbishment. Seems they are trying to sell their faulty stock of kitchen sinks.

Stay away from this company!

Throughly impressed with this company

Throughly impressed with this company.
Good communication throughout order/delivery process, they're really easy to contact.
The item we ordered had a significant wait time, which we were prepared for (made to order item) and it arrived earlier than expected.
The taps we purchased were also at the lowest price on sink-taps than anywhere else we had looked online.
Will definitely use sink-taps again!

Great customer service

Easy to use website. Delivery prompt with good information beforehand. Alas, item was faulty and after my email notifying them a replacement arrived before breakfast the following day. What fantastic customer service. Will defiantly use again and recommend.

Good value, excellent communication and delivery

Bought a ceramic kitchen sink and tap. Both delivered promptly, extremely well packaged and in perfect condition. The delivery driver was helpful and ensured I had sufficient time to inspect the goods before leaving.
Very pleased with both items, delivery experience very good and communication around delivery was timely and helpful. Recommended

HI Claire. The sink you ordered was showing on the website with a 4 week manufacturers delay. With reduced staff numbers we would not have made contact until closer to the delivery date. I apologise that we missed your email chasing an update. However, we are glad to see that the sink ended up being delivered sooner than the anticipated 4 weeks.

Terrible customer service

Avoid at all costs.

Terrible customer service, interested in taking your money and then do not respond to emails and insult customers. Would suggest they are avoided at all costs.

Similar experience to other users where item developed a fault and was merely passed to the manufacturer without my knowledge.

No contact from them despite actions in the background. You have to chase for an update and deal with unbelievable rude staff.

When I complained about the quality of the product I was told to buy something else.

When I complained about their staff they seemed to focus on anything but my complaint and were just insulting.

Thomas. This review really isn't fair or accurate. You had a tap that developed a fault 6 months after it was installed. We reported the issue immediately to the manufacturers who would have normally sent the new spout straight out to you. However, as we are in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, the delivery of the spout was delayed. Whilst we absolutely appreciate the inconvenience this has caused, but we genuinely believe the review you have left is not fair or accurate and does not reflect the actual situation.

problem resolved quickly

I ordered an Adobe Taura tap which was delivered in 2 days and was really well wrapped & in excellent condition. My plumber did have a problem with water leakage from the swivel spout to the body of the tap on fitting it. I emailed the supplier and Richard answered my queries very quickly. They have asked Adobe to supply & send me the necessary fittings - some rubber o-rings. Well satisfied with outcome and speed of problem sorting.

Terrific in all respects

In the past few months I have ordered a Bluci Rubus circular stainless steel sink/draining board and a "matching" wood chopping-board which is designed for use with this unit.

They are both attractive and functional, well-designed products.

Excellent pre-purchase advice, even during the lockdown - my emailed query was answered within a couple of hours.

The items were dispatched swiftly, well-packed, so they arrived in perfect condition.

no response to urgent email due to leak in tap

I understand the issues with Covid and staffing as i work for the NHS, but i have emailed numerous times but i have had no response at all.
My tap in under guarantee and is leaking. The plumber I called could not fix as a sealed unit on the tap, so I tried to contact Sinks-Taps. No phone line but was told to email. I did this on 14th And 16th of May but still have no response. I explained that I have a leak under my sink and it needs to be fixed urgently. Still waiting ......
