I was looking for a door for my car and I went through their website. Enter my REG number. There was a door suggested, hence I ordered the part and paid 50 pound shipping. It came after a week and the door was shorter and it doesn’t fit and they took 50 pounds shipping charges from me, but when I talked about this issue with their customer team, they said that it’s not their problem because the parts showing after putting your REG number is just for guidance. Hence I need to pay another 50 pounds for return this is horrible. I mean this is not acceptable.

I bought some part worn tyres for my Ford BMax. Excellent tread on them. I was served efficiently and politely and truly positive experience

Needed to scrap my mother-in-laws car. Silverlake easily gave the best quote. The on-line contact process was quick and easy. They arrived early in the day of collection. Received payment the next day as promised. I would not hesitate in recommending them to friends and family.

Called in after a passenger side door mirror for a ford focus the lady on the phone very helpful arranged for me to collect which I did all fitted and working perfectly thanks for a good service

I wanted to thank the delivery driver Mark B for delivering the gearbox we had ordered to the garage ( half a mile away) after originally delivering to our house-I would have found it hard to lift. Hoping the gearbox is good but the price was reasonable and delivery prompt, considering it came from Southampton to Kent in dodgy weather!

Used the self service lot to get a coolant pipe I couldn't find online. Bargain at £14.

Ordered a back parcel shelf for my Peugeot couple of weeks ago from Silverlake .
Firstly they came in cheapest quote & secondly very speedy delivery & well packaged .
Good communication throughout.
Only blip was Parcelforce who couldn’t be bothered to look for number 30 so dropped it at number 29 which is no where near me so I had no idea where it was . Silverlake as onto Parcelforce and got it resolved hence 5 stars .

I got a headlamp unit for my Ford Transit Custom. 4 months later, it failed the MOT as a piece of plastic was missing. SilverLake showed me a picture of the unit and implied I broke it or it broke itself whilst under the bonnet. I replaced it immediately as I was excited, and I know 100% I was sold an illegal part. I should have checked the item thoroughly, yet I did not realise an insignificant piece of plastic would cause an MOT fail. Surely, SilverLake knows, and they got lucky as they successfully scammed me.

Drove all the way from Bristol to pick up a front bumper cover described as no damage and no scratches only to get there and find it was in worse condition than the crash damaged one I'd taken off. Woeful service tbh.

Hannah was extremely helpful from start to finish, very responsive and made the whole process of scrapping my car very easy. Payment was made promptly, and the CoD was also issued straight away. The whole process was very easy, thank you!

The repairer had already accepted my car and was waiting for it to be transferred, yet Silverlake kept delaying and making excuses about not being able to reach them.
The repairer confirmed they hadn’t received any contact.

Their customer support agent, Ryan, was completely unhelpful and refused to escalate the issue, saying no managers were available. The whole experience has been frustrating, disorganised, and unprofessional — the delay is entirely on Silverlake’s side.

Was looking for a part for my car. They had it!! Fast service, part in full working order.

Brilliant.

Poor poor treatment of their staff.
Even sacking staff for no valid reason! It’s a shambles, totally disgusting.
Do not get involved with this poor excuse of a garage

Staff are friendly. alway willing to help with any questions,my favourite scrapyard been going to these for years, helped me finding part for my car and my best mate mini as they always have a lot in, went down Friday (16th for a bit for Mercedes, got one of the 3 three j needed to hardly see my style Mercedes in the scrapyard.would highly recommend these to anyone, I’ve had a few friends at work where a decent scrapyard and I always say look up silverlake. And the pick price list untouched can check the prices before you go down

Having been let down by another scrap company who didn’t turn up I was very impressed with Silverlake who took the car away when they said and the money (twice the amount the other company had offered) was in my account the next day.

Warning to buyers – deceptive listings and hidden faults.
I purchased a vehicle from Silverlake that was clearly listed as "missing key." I bid genuinely and invested significant time and money into programming a new key. However, after getting the key sorted, we discovered the real issue: a snapped timing chain — a major internal engine failure.

It became very clear that the "missing key" label was used to cover up a much more serious and expensive mechanical problem. This is not just misleading — it feels intentionally deceptive.

I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with this seller. Based on my experience, their listings do not reflect the true condition of the vehicles, and you may end up paying the price for their lack of transparency.

I bought a tyre from them all in price fitted but the wheel lock nut was rusted on they tried everything they could the fitters were excellent.

I purchased a car from their auction, but when I received it, the steering airbag was missing. In the photos clearly had a steering airbag. The vehicles are not “sold as seen” since parts may be removed before you receive it.

I reached out to them about the issue and was told to email someone else, but I never received a response.

Would not recommend.
