Been using a few weeks and the idea is great although ive noticed that it doesnt always log my points and tells me ive not submitted receipts when I have. Also the whole idea of having to scan a book each time and different sections then upload them on to my computer using the scanner is all time consuming. However the idea of it is great it just takes to long.

SHOP AND SCAN whart can i say but this used to be a great way to earn a few extra vouchers for christmas_now it has allined with screenwise they are going down hill as screenwise are withholding funds because their I T GUY INSTALLED A FAULTY ROUTER and now they are trying to penalise the pannelists-do not use -oh and as they have failed to give me my incentive they can pay for storage of items left at my house-it makes me wonder if this is now worth it

As in independent IT Consultant I was asked to transfer the Shop&Scan program from an older system to a new one for a user.
This process was not difficult. However, what was found was that the Core Isolation Memory Integrity had to be disabled in order to run the Opticon Scanner associated with the software. Once disabled, and as soon as the Opticon driver is installed, windows recognizes that it has installed a device driver that could allow malicious software in to the system.
Once turned off, and the driver installed, it is all but impossible to remove the drivers and turn Memory Integrity back on.
Various phone calls have gone back and forth regarding this deliberate lowering of security in a users PC. Return phone calls were promised but never happened.
The current stance of Kantar is that they are aware of this issue and do advise the user to turn off their protection without making them fully aware of the potential consequences.
There is no time scale on a fix and their advice was either do as they say or return equipment until an unspecified date when they may have a fix.
02/08/2023 - Update - shop&scan have contacted the user and also myself and have assured us that, in light of this public review, they are now taking the deliberate breach of security, that they effectively condone, seriously and are looking at fixing it. No firm timescale has been indicated.
I will update this review once a fix for this serious security issue has been implemented.
If there are no further updates on my part then the issue remains unresolved.

Absolute rubbish! On the initial sign up I was told I would receive 10000 points with my first test scan, this happened. A week later I started my scanning but received no points, the second week I did the same, no points. I gave the customer service (?) people a call, he said something about cut off points and I will receive them in the next week. I received the second week's points but not the first. Rang up again, spoke to a stroppy lady who said the regular 1100 points from my first upload was in with the 10000 points - I explained this is not stated in the T&Cs - she was adamant it was and said she would call me back last Monday - I'm still waiting. So I'm not happy with the customer service. Think carefully before you join up.
*update* I have decided to leave ShopandScan, I received a very offensive email telling me I was not scanning correctly - I emailed back but didn't get a reply - don't waste your time!

Firstly the negative. On two occasions the desktop app will not open. And it's impossible to uninstal and reinstall. However after. Much hunting online it does get a fix butit's a pain. As for scanning shopping and getting money it's worth it. That's it really. Scan and get money.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I was about to leave shop and scan so I called them to tell them why and tell about my negative experience I have had with them. The guy on the phone was rude and hanged up on me while I was still talking to him. I have been treated with an absolute disrespect. I would not recommend anyone to join them.

Having no joy to contact the helpdesk. Send several messages using contact us but still no responses, tried the telephone numbers on website...not recognised
All I need is change my email address so that I can use evouchers
Otherwise this is a great scheme, done this for years and so simple

I have been with shopandscan for way over ten years, simple to do each week, doesn't take much time and the rewards are good.
The points I receive I convert to Amazon gift cards, which I receive within minutes of ordering.
It would be useful if the clicker could be used with other browsers, like Firefox or Safari if using an Apple Mac, but I use the program to transfer my barcodes weekly.
I also participate in the food diary when invited to do so, again this does not take up too much time to complete and the daily/weekly points received are good.
All in all, I am glad I took up the opportunity to join when asked, it has been very worthwhile being able to contribute and rewarding.

Simple to use, only takes a few minutes to scan the items and after a few weeks it’s 2nd nature. Chances to earn extra points with surveys is a bonus. Only problem is the low level of points each month

Update 9/12/2022 New clicker is now on its way and hopefully the issues will be resolved and I can get back to scanning the shops and submitting useful information to the Shop and Scan Team who listened to this review and gave me some bonus reward points. Come on Post Office deliver that clicker!
I have been scanning shopping since 2017 and up to the start of November would have given 5* review as scanning shopping and building rewards was not difficult. However at the start of November for some reason I get an email from them saying I was not scanning in the right order. You do identity page, shop you shopped in page, then amount spent page then scan your shopping barcodes. Bear in mind I've been doing this for over 5 years without a problem. I always check that the clicker/scan device beeps on each page/item and that the lens was clean. ✅ I was double careful to work through the very familiar scanning process✅ I emailed them back to say that I was not doing anything differently from the hundreds of successful scans I have submitted and asked if maybe the clicker was faulty? I want them to get the scanned information as otherwise it is a waste of time. Today I get an email asking me to clean the clicker(!) As last week's scans were still missing the information. They don't seem to accept that the technology/clicker might be at fault. The solution is to trust me as a survey member and send me a new one and if the information being scanned is resolved then that's good for us all. If not then my bad but I very much doubt that I have suddenly lost the ability to point and scan after 5 years of doing so without a hitch. Maybe they just don't want my shopping scans any more and this is an easy way to get rid of me? Blame me for being useless and not the 5 year old, well used technology. Also never ever won any competition or ID number bonuses. Feeling a tad deflated and unappreciated.

Love using Shop and Scan, Have been a member for may years. Turn my points into Amazon vouchers. Very handy, recently bought a log store which didn't cost me a penny

Been a member of shop and scan for 3 years , started just before lockdown, everything has worked very well and have converted some of my points into amazon e vouchers without any difficulty. Love receiving the extra points at Xmas time and entering the competitions, lucky me has just had an email informing me I have won even more points in a prize draw so I have no complaints on any aspect of the role I am undertaking each week scanning my shopping. Great stuff thanks again

20 years a member. Finishing with them currently as the Irish company have been taken over by a UK company. Even to close the account has been a nightmare. What is wrong after 20yrs with a company of sending vouchers directly to an addresses. I always got paper vouchers in the post previously. I'm six months waiting on bags to send back equipment, being locked out of accounts that have MY MONEY in it (I need others to get the vouchers for me on the app) and hours of conversions that get me no where and with no apologies. Can't wait to never have anything more to do with them.

Been with this program for many years now and in my time I have only ever seen one increase in the amount paid out. Its high time that there was another increase given that, now shoppers are changing their habits to make ends meet, the data we supply is a valuable resource to retailers.

Constantly locked out, can't transmit barcodes and the system periodically tells me that my date of birth and/or the answer to my security question are wrong. I think I know my own date of birth! Keep being told to ring them only for the call to drop out. It's a real shame as I've been a customer for years but it's getting worse. And the clicker isn't even compatible with Mac, which seems bizarre in this day and age.
