Getting rewards for scanning shopping is great, however, everything they expect you to use is extremely outdated and deprecated.
Their website alone looks like it was left behind in the 2000s.
The scanning software is only officially compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and 7. This gives you an idea of how ancient it is, which of course opens up the possibility of security issues.
The scanner itself uses the long gone Mini USB. If you misplace the cable, it's not like you can just pick one up from a shop.

Still no points for receipt transmission three weeks ago. Twelve emails unanswered. Petrol panel points for October not added plus they have blocked my email to them. Something very fishy going on here .

I have been a member for over 20 yrs Had email saying I hadn’t transmitted I called them. The man who answered kept asking me for more and more of my details in an American accent .Began to think this wasn’t right so ended the all .Next man I spoke to shouted at me and slammed the phone down when I said I couldn't understand him .Very upset and disappointed at this behaviour I expect better

Not had points for over 2 wks, emailed twice and no reply. Today I get 2 emails from them saying I haven't transmitted. Tried to call every number and it says the mailbox is full....well dodgy

been scanning barcodes for them for 19 years - last two weekly transmissions were not acknowledged and emails asking if they are still in business returned unanswered - looks like this is the end!
This technical glitch appears to have been going on for 2 weeks? - nothing on the website and it would have been courteous to email clients to re-assure them - emails on the website returned as undeliverable

Have been really happy with ShopAndScan until recently, not had any points since 30th September when I used to get my shopping points every Monday (along with FoodontheGo).
Website says they are having trouble with systems but I've had no reply to email I sent, hopefully it will be resolved but I'm starting to think that it's run it's course, fingers crossed it hasn't as the Amazon Vouchers I swap points for have come in handy for presents, and even more so with Christmas coming up

I have been long tern member for years and transmitted week commencing 30th September but I did not receive my till receipt transmission points OR my bar code transmission points. I refuse to transmit my w/c 7th October receipts and bar codes as I do not see why I should transmit when I wasn't paid for the previous week VERY unhappy indeed!!

I highly recommend Shop and Scan. It's well run and any queries are dealt with promptly, hence the 5 stars.
However I do feel that an increase in reward points is overdue.
A previous poster said that as the time spent on participating hasn't increased why should the points. I disagree.
Put it this way, I do the same hours at work as I have always done but I get more pay than I did 10 years ago due to inflation. So I feel, like the other poster that argued for an increase in rewards, that reward points be should increased.

I came across Shop and Scan over 4 years ago and so glad I found it. I've never had any issues with it and find it easy to use. It did take a bit of getting used to spending time scanning all the shopping but now we dont think twice about it. It's worth it. Over the 4 years we've claimed over £300 which has gone towards buying a TV and a laptop. The only downside for me is I wish we could transit the barcodes through an app on our phone rather than needing a PC.

I felt compelled to comment on the post re the rewards values and inflation. I have also been panel member well in excess of 10 years and the time I spend uploading barcodes, till receipts, and completing surveys etc has not inflated therefore I feel as fairly rewarded for my time now as I did in the beginning. I allow my reward points to build up over the year and am able to download e-vouchers and order a good number of Christmas presents. This has been very helpful these past few years and I will continue being a loyal panel member.

I have been with shop and scan for over 10 years. Unfortunately during this time they have not increased the value of the rewards by one single penny. At the same time I'm sure they're selling the data they're harvesting for the going rate today!
I did raise this with them in social media some months ago and got no response.
I have, with some reluctance, decide to stop doing shop and scan as I'm starting to feel slightly exploited - and lack the enthusiasm to scan everything these days as I feel the rewards no longer justify the effort. Unfortunately I can't recommend this "experience" unless they pay a reasonable rate. And remember, this is a multinational, billion dollars company!.

This is my third review in a few months and my experience just keeps getting worse and worse.
As stated a few months, I haven't been able to get into my rewards account. Due to medical issues, I can not speak on the phone. They flat out refused to help me unless I speak to them on the phone. I have asked them atleast 10 times to stop calling me, but they still attempt to call me about twice a week.
There have been times when they have phoned me 2-3 times in a row.
When I do not answer, they then email me.
I've been asking them for almost two months now to delete my account. Again, they refuse to help me unless I speak to them on the phone. After arguing with them for weeks by EMAIL, they backtracked, contradicted every argument they've made up until this point and finally said they will help me via email. That was two weeks ago now and they've stopped responding to me. (They're probably going to say in their reply that it was because of the language used in my response, but I was nice up until today and it was two weeks ago that that conversation ended)
I got another missed call from them today followed by yet another email asking me why I haven't been scanning my shopping. 🤦
I understand that this is a difficult concept, but do not call me to discuss this review 🙄
I felt it was only fair to come back and give an updated review further to my previous in March 2023. I was contacted very promptly after i posted my review and Shop&Scan resolved my issues very quickly for me. I am now able to update and log my scanner every week on my new laptop and have had no further issues since then. I was also issued with some extra points on my account for the inconvenience. I am happy that they resolved my complaint.

Been uploading my receipts for over a month and can't wait to see what rewards I can get, well worth the effort, customer service is top notch, had a problem and it was sorted, will be recommending this to other people

Came across shopandscan a while ago now and I've been on it for a good couple of years. Never had any issues with it, pretty easy to scan and transmit the barcodes and there are plenty of options for rewards. They always have bonus points as well. It does take a while to rack up the points but really can't complain. Customer service is amazing, always ready to help!

I have been with Shopandscan for many many years and love it. It's simple and easy to use. I love that there is a customer raffle each week although I have never won and love that you can redeem the points for e-codes.
Saying that I do think in the 10+ years that they could increase the amount of weekly points especially for people who have been with them a very long time and maybe come up with a code reading app that delivers codes to Kantar instantly rather than having to upload on a computer or laptop
