We visited sherwoods Sunderland on Monday, Trevor Willey was so helpful.
There was no pressure put on us which worked for us.
We chose a car & picked it up today, Trevor was great he is a credit to sherwoods. Thanks looking forward to enjoying our new car .

Bought a car from sherwood it was a very good car an it was better then expected 👍🏿

Left 1 start review and they shouldn't get that . Left my partner 308 in to have recall work done . When the car was given back at 5.15 after the mechanics had went home the dash board light up like a Christmas tree and have left my disabled partner with no vehicle .They have refused to even give a call back to explain why this has happen . Even when this was raised with Kyle Clifton ,still no call back . Would stay far away from Sherwoods especially when with recalls . This garage is all show . I believe the expression that would describe them is all fur coat and no pants

Gateshead Sherwood’s. Had the car 2 months still can’t use it Citroen Sherwood’s don’t return calls or emails . Car is not safe and they won’t accept the return of the vehicle even tho it went back 3 times in first month and now no contact from them at all .
DONT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AS THEY LIE TO YOU AND WONT HELP YOU ONCE YOU HAVE PURCHASED A CAR FROM THEM .

I would like to thank Citroen Sherwoods Gateshead branch. I rang this morning as the service light came on indicating a problem. They said to bring it straight in. They checked it over and there was a rear bulb out, which they replaced it straight away. Many thanks

The purchase of the car was good, the handover of the car came with a few issues to be corrected, service lights on, faulty screen wash system, a dent in the wing which was was not present when purchased and only 1 key. The repairs were completed as agreed a few weeks later.
3 months later service lights and inspection lights re appear, despite calls and leaving messages the dealership did not respond and I had to address the issue through a Mitsubishi specialist at my my own cost.
Service book still remains an outstanding item which im now addressing again without the support or engagement of the dealership.
Disappointed

My daughter today purchased her first vehicle from the Sunderland branch and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Trevor, the salesman, and Dave, the manager, were both friendly, helpful, and professional from start to finish. There was absolutely no pressure or hard sell, just honest, straightforward service.

The car was prepared beautifully and presented in excellent condition, and the garage itself was clean and tidy, which really added to the overall impression. Everything was handled smoothly and efficiently.

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a vehicle and wouldn’t hesitate to return for another purchase. Truly top service.

I booked a test drive and was stupid enough to give them my phone number. I told them explicitly I do not want this number stored and to delete my information after the drive.

Since then, I have been called FIVE times.

Absolutely Appalling Experience – Wouldn’t Recommend

My partner recently bought a Fiat Abarth convertible from this dealership, and the entire experience has been a nightmare from start to finish.

We were promised that the car would be serviced (including new discs, pads, and a timing belt), scratches would be removed, and the wheels refurbished before collection. In return, they gave a very poor trade-in offer for my partner’s Mercedes – but she really wanted the convertible, so we accepted it.

On the agreed collection day, the car wasn’t ready. We were told it needed “specialist parts” because it was a “sports car” (it’s a Fiat, not a Ferrari). This delay dragged on for three full weeks, with repeated excuses and zero proactive communication.

When we finally got the car, the scratches and wheels still hadn’t been touched. The manager agreed to fix the scratches but refused to refurb the wheels, despite that being part of the original agreement. We took the car anyway — again, my partner really wanted it.

After the first wash, all the scratches reappeared. We returned the car and were told this time they’d use “proper Fiat paint” (laughable). Guess what? Same result after the next wash — scratches came back. After wasting time going back and forth and getting nowhere, we gave up and paid to have the car properly repainted ourselves.

Just took the car in for a proper service today, only to find that Sherwoods Gateshead clearly either didn’t service the car at all, or did such a poor job it’s laughable. The air filter was in an appalling state with a dog poo bag under it 🤬 also have the photos but unsure how to load them here— there’s no way it had been changed recently, if ever. This was supposedly done as part of the “full service” they claimed was completed before we collected the car.

So not only did they delay the car for weeks, lie about repairing the scratches and refurbishing the wheels, but now it’s clear they also lied about the service. Completely unacceptable and potentially dangerous. Do not trust this dealership.

Absolutely unacceptable customer service, broken promises, and poor workmanship. Avoid this dealership if you value honesty, professionalism, or your time.

We had a fantastic experience buying our car from Sherwoods in Durham. Our sales advisor, Nigel, was particularly helpful and the customer service we received was some of the best we have ever experienced. We felt really looked after and Nigel took his time explaining the vehicle and offered to come on a test drive with us. the car itself was immaculately presented and well tended to by the mechanics. I would really recommend purchasing a car from here!

Great service from Sherwood Suzuki Gateshead. From my initial website enquiry to handover of the car, the whole expience was friendly and hassle free. All options were explained, questions answered and I never felt pressured over anything. I mainly dealt with Michael and would definitely recommend this dealer to anyone.

I'd recommend Sherwoods Suzuki Fiat and Abarth Gateshead because they go out of their way to make sure the car is right for you, even bringing it to me to test drive, couldn't fault their customer service, help and advice, they are not pushy like some sales people. Michael Bamford, was professional and friendly and also reassuring being very nervous changing from manual to automatic. Would recommend Sherwoods, this being my second time using them.
