Beware hidden charges. The last three times I’ve used the app, I’ve had extra charges added on for alleged waiting times and tolls when there were none. I’ve emailed customer services twice asking for an explanation and had no reply. Note this is a review for RoadRunners Leeds.

Do not use app!!!
Terrible wait times and extra fees when cancelling! I got charged £5 cancellation fee after giving up when I waited half an hour for a driver to be assigned. As I am a student I tried to get a refund but they said I was assigned a driver but cancelled after 6 minutes even after i sent proof of the half an hour wait time and no driver?!

So today a repeat booking taxi that's been arriving every Friday and Monday morning for weeks was a no show.
Called up to be told I have the wrong taxi firm assues the call handler i did not as we have been using them for weeks, basically my daughter cancelled Fridays morning booking as she had a lift off her boyfriend as a result they cancelled all block bookings, I explained this felt like an unfair punishment was told I was paranoid.
Very rude man then told me that all block bookings in future would not be taken this is their new over night policy,
I was told they would not honer their previous agreement to provide transport for my daughter to take her work.
Insult to injury if I was not happy about this he told me to go else where, then told me so gaff about how he never took the cancellation himself but she probably asked for the booking to be cancelled herself, she's 20 and I was present Friday she said can I cancel this mornings booking, why would she cancel all bookings this was her only transport to earn a wage, people are already on the bread line and this company have punished my daughter for cancelling one days booking.
Removed her off all bookings ....

Seriously bad driver.

First, the driver was 40 minutes late and went on and on about how they had to ‘follow the lane’ to drive. Then they took my trolley and dropped my jacket and didn’t even say sorry.

Then when we were just trying to ignore the rude driver and talking, he called someone and put them on loud speaker in an Indian language disturbing our conversation. When we asked them politely to switch the speaker off, the driver started arguing about how we were talking (in a cab we had hired!) and he has to listen to us talk! I think ‘shocking’ is the word I would use to describe the communication skills of this driver.

Apart from making us feel extremely unsafe by talking on phone loudly while driving, he was the rudest person we have come across and has serious issues with ‘driving in a lane’, as if that’s a new requirement. We were holding on for dear life.

I would seriously not recommend this company if the quality of drivers has deteriorated so much over the years.

Booked two taxis with 2 hours advance notice for 1.10pm that day for 11 people. They said all was fine. They were 10 minutes late when I phoned them, no apology or explanation, they stated one taxi 5 mins away and the other was 10 minutes. After another 10 minutes one taxi arrived. They informed us no second taxi was coming, but the driver would do two journeys. Ultimately we were 45 mins late for our restaurant booking. Worst company ever

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I booked with them for the first time for a pick up from Wembley Stadium. I called in the afternoon to confirm the booking. The pick up was for 11pm. At 10:15pm, they called me when I was in the stadium and couldn't hear a thing. I called them after the concert and was told I hadn't pre-paid so they hadn't despatched the taxi. They said I would have been sent a link to pre-pay. I told them I wasn't asked to pre-pay when I booked it or when I called to confirm that afternoon and hadn't received a link. I had a text from them around 10pm to say they had despatched the taxi and they gave me the drivers name and reg no. This was obviously a lie and they left me and my family stranded at Wembley with no chance of getting home for hours. Absolutely disgraceful - and they didn't give a damn. When I asked for the controllers name, who had been quite rude, I was told they didn't give out names. Have never actually used them and will never try again. AVOID - I'd rather walk. Absolutely appalling service.

Absolutely appalling behaviour from a taxi driver infront of my son today. My son and his dad tried to get a taxi from my home but due to my son forgetting something and running back to me to grab it he ran straight back to the cab and they said the job had been cancelled as he was 2 minutes late.. When my sons dad sat in the car and said your here whats the harm we are here lets go the driver then got out of the car and aggressively walked round to him shouting and telling him to get out with my son! Leaving my son in tears thinking he had done something wrong where he ran back to me. When I say my son was quick they had literally stepped out the door when the message was recieved and it took my son about 30 seconds to run to me and back to his dad. Driver was aggressive and verberally abusive infront of a child. Clearly he had already had a bad day before arriving to us! Disgusting! All this was witnessed by a supervisor who works for Surrey County Council who will also be filling out a report to her managers to file with the council.

I ordered a taxi the day before in order to make sure that I was picked up on time to arrive at Gatwick Airport well before flight departure. The taxi did not turned up and I did not get a text message from RoadRunners to let me know. When I phoned them the person who answered the phone said that they were delayed but could not give a time when they will be able to provide the service required. There was no apology or attempt to remedy the situation. I then phoned another local company and they came within minutes. I am flying again soon and a relative who lives near me alerted me to the fact that RoadRunners has very bad reviews and should not be used.

Its amazing why people are using this company they are a disgrace. My daughter was working late and phoned a taxi at 2:30am in morning weekday. Said they did not have a taxi available. Managed to book on 15mins later then THEY cancelled it leaving a girl stranded. Horrible people DONT USE LET THEM FOLD FOR GOOD

I have been let down so many times by roadrunners but because of where I live I often have no choice but to use them. Drivers are lovely however the call handlers (and two in particular) are unbelievably rude, zero customer service skills and could not care less when taxis are regularly late. Have missed trains to work several times because despite booking in advance taxis are always late. I thought if I avoided using the app and called to book instead the call handlers would tell me if they didn’t have any cars available so I would know to go elsewhere. This isn’t the case, you call and they book your taxi however it’s still late despite them clearly not having enough cars to book the job? When you call to find out where the taxi is they are rude and put the phone down on you! Literally could not care less. I wish I didn’t have to use road runners but they have monopolised most of east leeds so I am stuck with their apalling service. They have let me down numerous times and numerous times I’ve been late for work and important meetings and with colleagues! I would never recommend them and avoid at all costs if

Completely useless. Lies. Don't care if their cabs are late. No customer service. I ordered a cab because the train was coming in 15 mins and I was going to be late picking up my daughter from school, due to family emergency, in the end, the cab was later than the train. No problem in itself because it should have been quicker but the driver refused to take me because their online payment system was down, no other alternative payment was offered not contactless, transfer anything!! except cash. I have it on my phone now! Not keeping up with the times and it cost me £12 late fee from the nursery!!

Dissapointed. I should have ordered an uber.

Booked and prepaid. I accept I asked if they could come earlier than the 9.30pm pick up I had booked for two cars (8.45pm) BUT they said yes when I called. After 8 phone calls and promises of 10 mins away. One turned up at 9.45 and the other at 10pm.. way over promised and under delivered..

I would put 0 star for this company. A taxi took my mum home who was a little drunk maybe a little two drunk but that shouldn't matter you're meant to be safe and get home safe. Anyways I got my mom in to the taxi at my side and made sure she had everything to hand for once she got home. I got a phone call to say my mum was lock out and the taxi man was going through her bag with another taxi drive in his car at the side of them. The bag hasn't been seen since and 71 pound has also been spent on her bank card. I tried very hard with the company to resolve this but no help and was very very rude I have used this company many years definitely won't be using them again. Shocking behaviour

We booked a taxi for 5 for 10:30. Had function for 2 families at 11. Had to call at 10:40 as not arrived. Told 10 mins. Called again at 10:55. Told vehicle on way. 10 mins. Called again at 11:15. Told vehicle 25 mins away. Cancelled and booked Uber. Don't bother with this company. The stress is not worth it. Rather use Uber. Also not prepared to arrange alternative transport.

If you are thinking.....mmmmmm....I'll give them another chance DON'T! You'll hate yourself!
They have let me down so many times.

The worst company ever. I’ve booked taxi in advance and I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes outside until it finally arrived. Kids were late to school and I was late for work. Zero stars !!!!! Disappointed angry and never gonna use again!!!! I should not to pay for this service !!!!

DON’T BOOK, terrible company and poor customer service. Two of our wedding party booked a cab with this company. It got to half an hour after they were meant to show up and they just didn’t bother turning up. I had no phone call from them and we were trying to get through to their offices for ages but they they avoided my phone call.

We were really off the beaten track and luckily managed to get an Uber but it took 40mins to try and track one down. Never use this company!!! We had no apology and it was almost as though they didn’t even care we had a booking confirmation text and were stuck. They were extremely rude and quite frankly I struggle to see how they still exist with such poor customer service and unreliable taxis.

Absolutely awful company and service! Unreliable, lazy, staff are rude. DO NOT USE!!

Booked and paid upfront when we landed at Gatwick with an hour to pick up at 5.30, we were on time and we’re given our driver’s registration number, we were delighted to see him arrived on time and went over to him, Syed was very unhelpful and told us he had tried to call and cancel trip, we had no calls and app still said trip was valid with his details, he said it was cancelled and picked up another bloke most likely due a higher fare, he wouldn’t call roadrunners for us and was unapologetic and drove off without us. We called the operator who said they could send another car in 45 mins, would have to pay again and our original fare would be refunded 2 to 3 days later. We explained the situation and was not happy with their service, they said ok I have another car to pick you up in 15 mins. 15 mins came and went and 30 mins later we called back, again operators very rude and unhelpful, said it would be another 15 mins so basically lied to us and it would be the original 45 mins, by this time we could have been inside in the warm instead of standing outside for an hour and a half in the cold and wind. We we were hungry but kept thinking a taxi is bound to turn up soon. Then we called again and told a taxi is coming and other 15 mins, we had two text confirmations of two taxis coming!? One of the drivers then said he is on his way but will be 15 mins, he came in 20 mins time, he was lovely and the only person to say sorry, he was dispatched 2 mins after the operator said someone was in their way. The rudeness and lies this company give to customers is shocking, we will not be using again, will not recommend to any friends and local neighbours and will be complaining and writing bad reviews to warn people of their bad behaviour. We landed at 4.20pm, we eventually got home at 7.30pm and we only live 20 mins away, if there wasn’t a bus replacement we would have got that, but what a disappointing way to end a fabulous holiday, Roadrunners taxis were the only thing that let the holiday down. Avoid if you won’t want to be let down, messed around and lied to!! I certainly would not rely on any pick ups to airports as you may not get there in time!

This company is a complete joke I don’t have a clue how the business is still going it is not handled well at all. Book a taxi for a certain time and not once it has been on time, you get told it will be around 5-10 minutes when it’s not they try and avoid your calls if you try calling again for a follow up and the staff like talking back on the phone what happened to the customers always right? Don’t accept bookings if you have no drivers!
