Our driver VINU VISWANATHAN NAIR was an exceptionally kind driver who took us all the way from Taunton to London very late on a Wednesday night. Then having to drive himself back afterwards. Great experience. Thank you Vinu!

A-cabs 10/10 would highly recommend they arrived when they said they would and were value for money. They also got us out of a problem due to a different company in Taunton cancelling 25 minutes before we needed them and booked a week in advance! A-cabs all the way.

Taunton Taxis came up trumps again! Our Megabus from Bristol Airport to Taunton was running an hour late on Bank Holiday Friday which meant we wouldn’t be in time for our pre-booked taxi to take us home. Although all taxis were booked out, Taunton Taxis managed to squeeze us in to pick us up as we arrived at the BP Garage an hour later so we weren’t left stranded. They were very understanding and helpful and avoided a stressful situation.

I booked a Taxi, said Kevin was outside, immediately after I booked it. Next I had a Text to say I was no show so Taxi was cancelled

Apparently they can pick and choose which jobs they want.

I booked a taxi from my home to work. They quoted me 33 pound and when I came to pay for the taxi was over 40 pound it thought it was a joke. The driver charged me a extra 7 pound for going the wrong way so disappointed.

The drivers are really friendly and accomondating. My daughter who had a contract with them to college due to her physical disability has been let down by the office/operator Cyndi. We called and gave the taxi company 12 hours notice to cancel her morning taxi so Marie could see her dad. Unfortunately, upon hearing our message they cancelled the afternoon taxi, and the morning one still arrived. Daughter is vulnerable and taxi firm billed her for the missed journey. I contacted taxi company office and evidenced that we did cancel the morning taxi but Cyndi insisted we paid as driver waited 10 mins, she would not take accountablilty that she had been given 12 hours notice to cancel the morning taxi, and after communucating in writing in the morning whjch taxi to cancel and keep, she didnt notice that she had cancelled the afternoon taxi, that we needed. That was 6 hours prior to her pm journey, so plenty of time for her to check the bookings she had.
I wrote to her again, to say that taxi was cancelled and no reply, although a different operator arranged for last minute taxi. There was no accountability or apology from cyndi.

This morning i recieved an email from cyndi cancelling our contract suggesting its due to staff changes. This was immediately after office had made several errors, and billed us for journeys we didnt make after giving 12 hours notice to cancel.
Marie had a lovely relationship with the drivers, she especially liked Jon and they were perfect at reducing any anxiety she had travelling, and helping her confidence and independence.
It is wrong for a taxi company to have an answering machine function on their phone and then not take responsibility for mistakes they make.
We pointed out, that although it wasnt our fault that the office cancelled the wrong journey we settled the bill and paid. We pointed out to cyndi that it was her role to manage her drivers wellbeing which she wasnt doing as she sent a driver on an early morning journey when we gave 12 hours notice to cancel.
After we paid for a journey we didnt partake, she cancelled our contract almost immediately suggesting staff changes. Obviously, this isnt a well run company by Cyndi.
Marie will miss the drivers support. And its a low blow from cyndi to charge for the journey when the issues are from staff acting on their voicemails. I would avoid this company for regular trips as the office staff arent managing times correctly impacting drivers and passengers.
Instead of cyndi providing support when office staff got it wrong, we paid cancelled journeys we didnt partake in,shes been abrupt with a vulnerable young adult who needed support demanding money, and scaring her. Wouldnt accept email and phone records proving we cancelled the taxi. And abruptly cancelled a taxi contract for a disabled child to get to college,leaving her more vulnerable and iosolated.
The drivers were great support for her

NOTE: ive just an email from cyndi asking me to take down an honest review. It was our real experience and our hurt as marie really will miss the drivers... they were lovely towards her and shes so upset... my concerns are now with her emotional wellbeing only

Booked a cab from Perkins warbeck to premier inn Bridgwater road at 23.54 online the booking disappeared and no one turned up so me and my family had to walk home thanks to them absolute scum disgusting scum company will never use again

We used the same taxi twice on the same day. Once from Taunton Station to the Castle Museum
and later, from Paul Street Library back to the Castle Courtyard Cafe, using the same driver, a fellow Welshman, each time.
On both occasions, he helped with my wheelchair, helping to fold it and placing it in the boot.
At the end of the journeys, he lifted the wheelchair out and re-assembled it before helping me to sit down.
He was enjoyable to listen to as well as polite. I would certainly use Taunton Taxi Service whenever I visited Taunton in the future.

Driver groped and kissed my partner, not safe do not use incident reported.

We had been let down by another taxi company and Taunton Taxi service was our night in shining armour ( or should I say a lady in shining car ) thank you Anna , she was lovely x

Having booked the service I was extremely disappointed when I received a cancellation when my train was 4 minutes late. Any sensible company would have been reviewing Bank Holiday times. Every train from Paddington was late. Shocking behaviour, leaving an aged gent at the station to walk home. Will never use again

Worst Taxi company ever, cancelled my taxi, which I booked a month in advance hours before they were due to collect us, the reason they gave was that they wouldn't make enough money from the fare and could make more money else where. DO NOT USE they will let you down.

Twice I called this company on different days in well in advance of my trip just to be sure, guided to them by the other reviews seen here to ask how much it would be for a short taxi ride from Taunton station to the 29 bus stop at the Illminster Busway as it was a 15 min walk and it would mean I might miss the 29 bus. There are buses that run at 11:37 and 13:37. Twice I was told on different days (the last time being today) by a clearly annoyed or bothered woman telling me that the ‘traffic was too heavy and it would take a cab driver 40 mins to get here) and that it would be quicker to walk.’ I did so, missed the bus and the traffic wasn’t ‘heavy’ at all! I think this company are only interested in customers who pay them upwards of £40 to go to long distance destinations. They are NOT interested in short hops and will lie to people making enquiries. I will certainly not be using them to try and make make future bookings again as I dislike being treated like useless rubbish because I refuse to spend lots of money.
I tried a dummy booking to see if they would accept a booking to Glastonbury from Taunton station. It was £80 and when I asked about the traffic, I was told it was ‘ok.’

Booked and scheduled a taxi on app twice and couldn't have been happier with the experience! Lovely drivers! Reliable service and the app is easy to use. Took a weight off my mind coming back from London knowing we had a way to get home. Would definitely use again!

We booked Taunton Taxi services for an airport transfer to Heathrow. They arrived on time, the driver was great. They sent all the confirmation by text and email. Really impressed with the service.

Polite and friendly drivers, text updates and a tracker to tell how long you've got before the taxi arrives, brilliant! Will always use Taunton Taxi Services! Highly recommended!
