Yesterday, Rightio serviced our boiler.

Yesterday, the Rightio engineer David Maxwell came to do the annual service on our Vaillant Boiler. He was efficient, helpful, and friendly. When he had finished the job, he made sure that the area was left clean and tidy. We have no hesitation in recommending David for his excellent service.

DO NOT Waste your time with this company


LPG boiler ignition fault.
Booked day of work. they said would have person with me for 10am, then they call to say it will be afternoon. When the engineer does turn up they ARE NOT licenced to work on LPG.
Tried to call them, held in que request call back. They call back say have no one to cover this area who is qualified and have to cancel the job.

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience caused and understand how frustrating this must have been. In this instance, it appears an engineer was allocated in error who was not licensed for LPG systems

To clarify, all of our engineers are fully qualified and Gas Safe registered for the types of work they’re assigned to carry out. In this case, it appears there was an administrative error when allocating your job, and we sincerely apologise for that. LPG-qualified engineers are more limited in number, and unfortunately, none were available in your area at short notice — which led to the cancellation.

We completely understand how disappointing that was and sincerely apologise for the disruption to your plans.

Stay away from this scamming overpriced…

Stay away from this scamming overpriced company, who rip people off because they are in emergecy, engineer said they tell him to double the costs on materials, and mainly sub contractors get a call last min and threaten to go to the job.

Tried to over charge. Need to change name to Wrongio

Scamming A holes, super unprofessional. Trying to change prices, couldnt plumb a hole with their thumb.

They threatened with debt collectors

Have you heard of consumer rights eg job not up to standard so NO PAYMENT?

Maybe go into a different business that doesnt adversely affect people, like street sweeping but you'd probably mess that up from my experience.

Deluded isnt the word....

Appauling.

Appauling.

I called to explain my immersion and Econ 7 switches had blown so I had no hot water.

Young lady was very friendly on the phone and said they would have someone out to me by 17:00 same day. I was impressed as that was short notice. I had a Drs appointment but cancelled that so I would be in.

They said they would call 30 mins prior to arrival to let me know they were coming. No call.

I then checked my texts, and they had texted to say the job was cancelled. No, let's make another appointment - just - it was cancellled.

By any standards that is appauling customer service.

I do wonder if I had agreed to sign up to the Customer Care package that the young lady was keen to sell me, whether they would have come.

I am a director of a large residential development, always keen to recommend good service to other owners - Rightio will NOT be getting my recommendation.

Don’t use this company

Don’t use this company — guarantee means nothing

Don’t use this company. Their guarantee is worthless. I paid £352 to fix my gas boiler, and it wasn’t properly repaired on the first visit. They said it was guaranteed for 12 months, but when the same fault came back after 28 days, they returned and said another part was needed, quoting £200. I gave them my card details, including the security digits.

Five days later they called again, now wanting £350 plus two hours’ labour to fix the same problem. They then claimed the £200 they had already taken was a call-out charge, not for the part as their engineer had said. They denied everything, closed the call, and kept the £200.

Completely dishonest and not to be trusted.

Big scammers and avoid!

Big scammers and avoid! They take your card details straight away over the phone which is a warning sign in itself - still can't believe I fell for that one. Once the plumber arrived, he realised the job was a big one, so gave some advice for a few minutes then spent another 5 minutes filling out an online form, much to his and my frustration. Total time spent at the property was 9 minutes. Nothing got fixed, and then you get a call afterwards saying that as advice was offered for a few minutes, they want to charge £180 for the pleasure!! The plumber didn't even have hardly any gear in his van, as the company would rather travel to go and get the equipment as the clock keeps ticking for the £££'s. Their reviews system on Reviews.io isn't a true reflection either, as they can control that, although they can't on Trustpilot here. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere!

These people are an absolute bunch of…

These people are an absolute bunch of cowboys - DO NOT sign up for any of their shoddy services. I tried to arrange a simple boiler service which is supposed to be part of their package and they failed to do this and didn't even bother answering the phone.
STEER WELL CLEAR!

It was a total shambles from start to…

It was a total shambles from start to finish and threats now of legal action aimed at me. It should be a zero star! Do not touch them!
The technician arrived at 3pm in the afternoon after being told it was a morning appointment. He turned up in a car with a tiny bag to fix my shower. After 1 hour he took away my shower after saying it couldn't be fixed after not testing it properly. He then went and brought the wrong shower to fit. He then sourced another shower after 2 hours and said he couldn't fit it today. He came again 5 hours late on the 2nd visit. After 2 hours 30 mins he could not fit the shower as he had cut the electric cable too short to fit. He asked to borrow my screwdriver as he didn't have one. He then spent 30 minutes on the phone asking someone how to do the job. He left after 2 hours 30 mins saying he would call in 1 hour to organise an electrician, he didn't phone me. I talked to Rightio office on the phone over 20 times throughout and after the visits complaining at the terrible service, and i have received numerous emails to contact them. I did contact them! They initially quoted over £400, now they want a call out fee. They phoned me thinking I was the plumber on one phone call. I have told them they get nothing as they took away my working shower and left me with upset, distrust in their competence, a disgraceful service, total lack of communication, and no shower! An inexperienced person sent to my property by them took my shower. If Rightio want to apologise that would be good. The ombudsman has been contacted by me today. It has been terrible and made me ill with constant threats. I want no more contact with Rightio, i have told them this, and I would like compensation for no shower, and work time lost.

Felt let down

Phoned this company as I was desperate for my electric cooker to be installed and they wanted payment straight away and when I said I would pay after the job was completed as I've been scammed previously they made up a lie to cancel and let me down. Didn't even try to reschedule. Please avoid

Can I give less than one star?

Only gave one star due to being unable to give nothing! Engineer was called to find leak with washing machine/plumbing. Engineer suggested the machine was to blame despite being brand new. Stayed a total of 15 mins (if that) and left. Failed to see waste pipe had come loose, after calling 5 times for engineer to come back was met with silence from customer services. Repaired myself with items from local Screwfix. Called customer services to complain, told I was right, the engineer should have noticed this and he was not long enough at the job and I would receive a call back from another engineer with a visit to sort issues. This was 3 weeks ago (approx) and I have heard nothing, not even an email. Made a complaint to trade ombudsman, disgusting service by absolute crooks! Avoid at all costs

Discovered my early high rating was…

Discovered my early high rating was flawed - by the fact I still have a leak. I was promised a visit three days after re-contacting Rightio (15.10.25).

Having been around all day today. In truth, I had given up... but, at least then I get a 'phone call (at 16.30) to offer a different day. Unfortunately, I am otherwise committed on the day(s) offered early next week...so now it's Friday 25th...

In order to offer a wider context... my first Emergency Leak mending visit was on 10 October... and all paid-up that day. And here we are...Still wanting it sorted!
