I asked for support with what I was looking to buy. I was shown some options. My existing speakers were tested so I was able to re-utilise these. Paul was really helpful.

Usual knowledgeable experience, yet again I relied on the staff without trying the product and they were spot on with their advice on sound quality

I live a long way from my nearest store at Southampton so I rang to check whether my choice of amplifier was in stock for audition or collection. Good decision as it wasn't, however Marco did a price beat deal for an online purchase so saved me a long trip.

Knowledgeable and patient customer service. Paul at the Southampton branch arranged for delivery of my excellent new Wharfedale 5.2 speakers with appropriate cables and banana plugs the following day to the Isle of Wight. Very impressed.

Southampton shop (where I purchased) were helpful, cheerful and prepared to listen as well as give advice.
Boscombe shop (where I picked up the purchase) were indifferent and unenthusiastic.

What a great team and great range. Over three visits Tom and Ben excelled in customer service, whilst I tried various headphones, from the comprehensive options. Whilst never trying to influence the decision, they gave some great pointers. One brand was missing from the trial, which I obtained elsewhere and decided was the best option , only to realise 24 hours later the error of my judgement and to return to the store to purchase the clear winner, which was far from the most expensive option. Thanks for all the help.

A helpful person on the phone gave me clear information and guided me to make a sensible choice - when the details and specifications are so complicated for the uninitiated. The tv was safely delivered and is very fine.

100% would recommend Richer Sounds in Southampton. Looking to upgrade my record player and Rob was brilliant at explaining everything about the different systems they have. No pressure, no big sales pitch, just honest and friendly. Very happy with my purchase.

I have a Snowsky Echo Mini MP3 player with 8GB built-in storage. I ordered same for my wife. When she started loading music, she discovered the storage was only 203MB! I thought I had checked when I first looked at the Richer Sounds website that the storage was 8GB. The item was out of stock, so there was a delay of several weeks and I ordered over the phone. I suspect the website was meanwhile updated to the new rubbish tiny amount of storage spec. Richer Sounds need to warn purchasers about this very significant change, and recommend buying a microSD card to get useful storage. Or even sell compatible microSD cards.

No sales pressure but a lot of detailed information and suggestions and offer of future help if needed.
Prompt next day delivery and I managed to set TV up, although needing further assistance from younger generation to complete it. I admit to being an electronic Luddite!

Tom was very helpful, I explained what I wanted to do and he recommended a couple of possibilities to me. I chose one and it is working perfectly. I was offered back by phone or facetime which is reassuring. Great service.

I received clear advice about the product I wished to purchase. Although not in store I was given delivery or collection options that suited me. The product was ideal for the use I intended for it.

The customer service was very helpful, efficient and courteous. Went of their way to offer alternative suggestions. Even helped mt find a supplier for the stylus for my turn table.

Excellent customer service and they had my purchase delivered to store as we were away.

Why buy on line when you can have a personalised service like this, well done to all.

I bought an LGTV from Richer Sounds, nothing really special, but they did give me a good price and it was delivered exactly on time. So far it works just as advertised

I have used Richer Sounds in Southampton for several years and have always found their staff exceptionally responsive, helpful, patient and friendly, especially so as I find it difficult to visit the store and do everything over the telephone. This time I was advised by Paul in the choice of two smart TVs to replace old TVs bought 16 years ago. Paul was very helpful in explaining how the technology has changed and which products would be a good buy within my budget. He then emailed the details for me to think over, and then was very helpful when I phoned back to place the order. The LGOLED42C54A TVs are excellent. I'm very pleased with them. At no time did I feel rushed on under pressure to make a purchase. The quality of the service from Paul based on his many years experience and friendly approach are highly commendable and a delight in this wretched era of FAQs, AI and chatbots. It is so much better to have a flesh and blood expert to speak to. Long may Paul and Richer Sounds continue to do their excellent work.

Very good advice overall. I had limited options available but the sales assistant talked me through the options and insured what i chose would integrate into my existing set up. Item arrived next day.
