I like dealing with Richer Sounds because they've got staff that actually understand the products they are selling and know what they are talking about - This is now rare in the high street.

Great service although there was some confusion about me being able to take out the extended warranty but was sorted quickly

Found what I wanted and at the best price with a 6 year guarantee. The order system was simple and I was contacted as soon as my TV arrived. Parking to collect right outside of door and was brought out by staff and carefully loaded for me. A great service

I visited the Prestwich branch due to a fault with my subwoofer. I was mere weeks away from the extended warranty expiring and my poor sub was just clicking and making all sorts of noises.

When first tested for the fault condition, the issue could not be recreated. However, the kind member of staff went above and beyond on the service and sought out some additional components and cabling to do some exhaustive testing for me there and then.

We found the source of the issue, he wrote a comprehensive description to the service centre, and my sub was sent off immediately.

It came back mere days later, as clear and functional as the day I bought it. The whole experience started with uncertainty and finished with absolute confidence in dealing with Richer Sounds (and especially the Prestwich team!) again for all my audio/hifi/tv needs! Thanks lads!

Ive had my sub repaired under warranty at the Prestwich store, richer sounds. I had the pleasure of dealing with the manager Sam. Excellent 5 star customer service from initial contact to the authorised repair. Kept me upto date with phone calls and had the repair done in a week. Amazing service.
Definitely recommend a visit if you are local, very knowledgeable staff with lots of av gear on show. I wouldn't buy anywhere else. Thanks again!

We took our vinyl player in to the Prestwich store as it wasn’t playing properly. Andy found what the problem was and fixed it. He was very knowledgeable and patient. Impeccable service. Would highly recommend.

I explained via a phone call that due to mobility issues that I was unable to go to the shop to audition some new speakers. I had narrowed down my selection and asked Noah for his opinion on my first choice the Fyne F55e and could he recommend some alternatives.
The main problem I have is an awkward shaped room where speakers will be placed close to the corners ( about 30cm from back and side), Noah concurred that the fyne would be the easiest and less fussy to place. Order placed the speakers arrived the next day and are currently being very much enjoyed, they sound very musical powered by my Rega elex mk4 using a Bluesound node icon and Rega 3 as sources.

From sales to delivery everything ran smoothly. The sales team are very knowledgeable as are the delivery team. They go that little bit extra to ensure everything has been explained in terms of sound output in the room to visuals. I have been using Richer Sounds for years, everything in my home is from there, if you watch it,listen to it, then it came from Richer Sounds, people say its expensive, err no it isnt they only sell quality products, ie samsung, yammaha, Marantz, denon, Technics, Rega, pro-ject its all quilty gear not some cheap obscure name, you need to be a certain age for this one, Amstrad it 100% looked like a separates system but it were far from it, and made Lord Sugar a massive amount of cash do you see them around today no because they are Rubbish yet I was using a Technics SL-1700 that is 40+ years old and Andy from Richer Sounds prestwich brought it into the 21st century by recapping it and changing the fixed RCA cable and mains lead and rewiring the tone arm, it sounded great, I still have it but now use a SL-1200 GR2 (that was purchased else where for (£1300 open box job but not used, ya cant look a gift horse in the mouth) sorry R.S. But you could not match this one because you had no open box, the staff are very knowledgeable in everything they sell, example I always used ortofon cartridges nothing else would do, (ortofon snob) yep then had a big fall out with them when I questioned ortofon over there discrepancy in the weight of there SH-4 headshells supposed to be 9grams but some were nearer to 10G or the other way just over 8G but thats another story.
So i decided to give Audio Technica a go and purchased a VM95EN and a VM95ML when they arrived i mounted them on HS-6 headshells, you see i want plug and play which i could not get with the SH-4 headshell because of weight discrepancies yet the cheaper HS-6 was only 0.2 grams out, any way makes sure the overhang and v.t.a are spot on and dropped the needle, Hell they sounded massively over bright and analytical, this cant be right I thought and did a bit of digging and found out i was banging to much pF through them Audio Technica run between 100pF to its maximum of 200pF were ortofon are happier at 150pf to 300pF so I bought an ultra low capacitance sheilded RCA Cable not thinking about my old Cambridge CP2 thats fixed at 200pF pops the new RCA Cable on drops the ML and know difference only then does the old pre amp dawn on me even with the cable the pre amp is still shoving my pF high so starts looking ond thought right pro-ject box S-3 £499 adjustable pF and Ohms, so off i pops to Richer Sounds prestwich, hangs about a bit because one salesman one customer policy rule which is good because you get there undivided attention, so i wait a bit longer because I want to speak with Andy because what he as forgot is not worth knowing, at last he is free, tells him what i want and he says you still running the SL-1700 you see he remembers has it was he that brought it into the 21st century, so i explain my dilemma with ortofon and the very over bright VM95ML because I am pushing to much pF with my old fixed Cambridge CP2 and I would like the pro-ject box S3, Andy says for the SL-1700, err no i am now running a SL-1200 GR2 and I bought a low capacitance sheilded RCA but the Cambridge is still pushing it over the pF threshold for the VM95ML right says Andy have you considered the ifi zen 3 striaght away i think and say how much is that then thinking its going to be a lot more than the S3, Andy says half the price of the S3 but it punches well above it price point, it has a ridiculously low sound floor adjustable pF but the zen starts at 100pF but with the low capacitance cable you will be only 23 pF over, me but won't it be bright and analytical, Andy no it won't and to hear any difference you would need to have the hearing of a German shepherd, you see if you take the S3 when you want to use your ortofon cartridges you will have to keep setting you pF but if you take the zen 3 its pF default setting is 100pF if your capacitance cable was 20mil shorter it would be spot on but for whatever reason pro-ject connect cables are 1.2 M in length and not 1M which would have made it spot on so I took the zen 3, I can now switch between cartridges with out keep adjusting the pF up and down and Andy has saved me £250 that means more records for the deck and Andy was spot on it has a ridiculously low sound floor even when the volume is cracked up the little zen 3 is crisp and clear and never once have I had to use the subsonic filter and that ladies and gents is why I go to Richer Sounds

Good advice. Quick demo to confirm what I had read about Ruark speakers. Speaker stands also ordered & arrived next day. Always happy to buy from Richer Sounds. Probably started in the 80s!

Called in the richer sounds branch at Prestwich with a view to purchasing a music system . The customer service as per usual was outstanding . It is refreshing to deal with a business that actually values it's customers . A special mention goes to noah who was extremely helpful .

I purchased a Denon CD player in October 2024 however it recently developed a fault. As the product came with a manufacturer's 2 year guarantee I took it back to the shop who returned it to Denon for repair. The player was returned within a week Denon having replaced the mechanism however shortly after it became apparent the issue hadn't been resolved. I went back to the shop again expecting them to return it to the manufacturer for repair again however they just replaced it without question. This was totally unexpected and unbelievable customer service.
