A fantastic 23 days exploring Vietnam and the temples of Cambodia. The guides were brilliant and very knowledgeable, we got to experience the real part of these places. The walks in Vietnam were great to say the least we went in there winter so the climate was still in the 20s which was ok but during the summer it goes well above that so the temples in Cambodia can be quite draining. But overall it was a fantastic trip

Recently returned from a fabulous holiday in Cuba staying with local families, discovering the amazing countryside and learning about the history. Our busy trip worked seamlessly, so many thanks to Marcel at Latin American Journeys Guru for organising and the guides on the ground. We wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

Just returned from my 2nd fabulous trip found through Responsible Travel ..and as was the first, this one was a superb holiday, well organised by professionals in the tourist industry. I will certainly be using them again as not only Kyrgyzstan but also Antarctica have been excellent destinations which necessitate perfect organisation.

I’ve used Responsible for Travel before when booking my trip to Bolivia and it was wonderful. This time I enquired about a trip to Indonesia, asking if part of it could be changed as I was blind and cycling was an issue. A representative got back to me saying being blind I couldn’t do the tour and suggested others which were more ‘accessible’. A discussion with the tour provider refuted this claim and they disagreed, saying someone like me who’d clambered over rocks in the Dali desert and the Bolivian salt flats would have no problems with Indonesia. In short, Responsible for Travel while having an excellent ethos, is backwards in is views reading disabled people – a real disappointment. Therefore if you are disabled, ask the tour operator if you can do your tour as they’re likely to give you a less narrow-minded and more honest answer, rather than Responsible for Travel, which is still in the dark ages when it comes to breaking boundaries and doing things differently.

This was the most professionally organized trip. As complex was our customized wishes: different counties, different cities, in the span of 3 weeks and 3000 km for a group of eight. I never believed it could be organized in such a perfect way without even a glitch. Thanks Rosie and the team!

Responsible Travel & Rediscover The World made booking our recent trip to Morocco incredibly easy and hassle free. They were swift in replying to emails and queries and made sure our trip was tailor made to the exact days and places we requested, with complete ease. Andy and Dawn run a very professional set up here and have good links with their Moroccan counterpart, and when we did have a last minute issue once in Morocco, they were quick to deal with it and sort out other options. Nothing can ever go perfectly without a hitch, and so it was really good to see their quick reactions and help. I cannot recommend them enough.

We used responsible travel as we spotted a Patagonian self drive holiday on their website that we were interested in. Having contacted them and expressed interest they explained that they act as an intermediary to providers in the countries advertised. They said that the relevant company would contact us and that they would also get a few others to contacts us, we received emails within a day or so of the enquiry. We ultimately booked with Trans Humans based in Argentina. They have been excellent, both in helping design our holiday and with the communication once we were away.
I did, like some other reviewers, initially wonder what value Responsible Travel add to the process but the reality is that they are enabling these localised smaller businesses to access the UK market and to some extent vetting them. I would use them again.

This trip exceeded our expectations. It was the trip of a lifetime. Every day was wonderfully different. We saw so much of Iceland in such a short time (magnificent waterfalls, spouting hotspots, black beach, biggest glacier in Europe, ravishing landscape). We even saw a glimpse of the Northern Lights. We finished our trip with a lovely visit to the Blue Lagoon. The tour was extremely well organised. Our local guide was the best we could have wished for. His knowledge was incredibly valuable. He was witty and a great story teller.

I have recently returned from an amazing All Points East holiday in Cambodia-'Beyond Angkor'. All our travel was arranged for us, so we had no worries there. Our guides, who were always extremely knowledgeable, were very friendly and helpful also always on time and caring. The itinerary was varied and enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed visiting the various temples from ancient ones covered in tree roots to the more modern. I would have no hesitation in booking another holiday with 'All Points East' as I know that it would be another 'Experience of a lifetime'.

Our 10 day tour of Vietnam with Intrepid was simply amazing! We had so many highlights doing activities we wouldn't have dreamed of while seeing the 'real' Vietnam it was just completely enjoyable and fascinating from start to finish!

Fantastic holiday, well organised and informed by the company before we got there. Our group ranged in age from 24-90 (a very able 90yr old !) We averaged about 15000 steps/day, with travel on bullet train / bus / underground. Beautiful temples, gardens, fantastic colour, fantastic food, history of Japan, the toilets !. Very knowledgable rep, American who lives in Japan. He explained everything we asked. He has an extensive knowledge of timetables, temples / shrine / gardens and saki. As a group we were flexible with the time table, usually to beat the weather, and we discussed daily on what tomorrow held!

We have used responsible travel twice who connected us with a great travel agency which specialises in wildlife holidays. They clearly work with reputable agencies and we've had near perfect experiences both times with our Borneo and Costa Rica holidays. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again when searching for our next big adventure.

We had an amazing holiday to Kerala that we chose from Responsible Travel.

We didn't originally appreciate that Responsible Travel acts solely as an intermediary to put UK customers in touch with a local tour operator, in our case a small Indian holiday company. Your contract is therefore with the third party company and you make your payments directly to them. Initially, this concerned me as I was making international bank transfers to an overseas company with no protection from ABTA/ATOL if they went belly up, relying on Responsible Travel's promise that they had never encountered problems with that third party in their many years of referring clients to them.

In the end, I am really glad that we trusted Responsible Travel's choice of partner as we had the best run family adventure holiday that we have ever had. The quality of activity and level of service from our small local holiday company far surpassed those that we had previously enjoyed with the big UK companies offering that type of holiday (Explore, and Family Adventure Company).

This model of finding a good holiday company really worked well for us, and I definitely recommend Responsible Travel.

Great variety of holidays and destinations to choose from, they link you up with small local businesses that would be difficult to find otherwise and you know the businesses will be trustworthy and genuine. It’s a great model.

Responsible Travel recommended Undiscovered Destinations for our delayed (due to covid) holiday to Bolivia. We were excited but rather nervous about altitude sickness, standards etc. We didn't need to worry. Juan our guide was amazing and is a walking encyclopaedia. He knows everything. Our trip was planned by him to prevent altitude sickness and see the highlights of the country. Everywhere we stayed had something different to offer, from history to archaeology to geology to plants to dinosaur footprints to staying in a hotel made of salt and top of the list were the Salt Flats. They are stunning. From there we continued to stand on the highest desert in the world and visit La Paz, the highest city in the world. I travelled with my friend who is blind. She really appreciated that on some visits she was allowed to touch things of interest. People are very friendly and are trying to make places more inclusive for those with disabilities. Juan guided her occasionally so we told him he's also now a "qualified" sighted guide!

This is I think my second or third where I have booked via Responsible Travel. They have put me in touch with several travel companies which have interesting sounding holidays which I probably wouldn't have found myself. This latest holiday was with Small Ship Cruise Collection in Croatia. A boat for 30 visiting the islands between Split and Dubrovnik. A lovey week. Thank you Responsible Travel.

I'm so happy I discovered Rosy and booked my yoga retreat in France through them. The range of vacations they offer are so enticing - I'll surely be back!
