From Angie who arranged our Eastern Algarve Mini break to Mark and Angus who set us up with everything we would need for a 3 day self guided trip everything Algarve Bike holidays did for us was excellent. They were very flexible and accommodated all our requests. All hotels had pools and the complementary water bottles and cycling tops were a special touch.

We had a lovely self-led 7 day cycling holiday on ebikes, taking us from Loulé near Faro across the Algarve to Carrapateira on the west coast and finally to Lagos. Bert of Cycling Holidays Portugal supplied our bikes, gpx files for our routes , very thorough notes and transported our luggage between hotels. We had great fun

Responsible Travel with their partners put together an amazing trip for us in South America visiting Peru Ecuador and the Galapagos. Starting in the Amazon and finishing in the Galapagos with city tours and the opportunity visit and immerse ourselves in local communities gave us the perfect blend of adventure, culture, wildlife encounters and relaxation. This was a a holiday experience that has given us incredible memories and we are so grateful and impressed at how smoothly it all went.

Two friends and I have just returned from walking part of the Northern Camino and Picos mountains in Northern Spain. The trip was exceptional in so many ways. In particular I would highlight the thought and care that went into planning the itinerary, the quality and locations of the hotels, the smooth running of the travel arrangements, including baggage transportation and taxi rides, the friendliness of all the people we encountered and - above all, of course - the stunning countryside of Cantabria and Asturias. The contrast between four days walking on the Camino and two days spent in the Picos di Europa made for holiday with so many memories, which will last for a lifetime.

This was our first holiday with responsible travel, but it certainly won’t be the last.
Magic hill holidays planned our North Camino and Picos walking holiday impeccably. The varied hotels were mostly outstanding. We encountered helpful staff at every hotel and most offered delightful views and delicious food. A vegetarian/ lactose free diet was well catered for. Each day we looked forward to discovering where we would stay and enjoyed the chance to swim in the sea or a pool at most places.
Magic hill used the magnificent historic buildings and stunning landscapes to tailor a delightful holiday, where each day seemed even better than the last.

I have made a few enquiries with Responsible Travel and they have always responded quickly.
They were advertising a photo holiday I was interested in and they responded quickly and referred me on to the provider. I know it’s all automated but I was then Responsible Travel’s customer and I got the ‘have a great time’ and ‘welcome home’ emails they sent. I speedily answered their review request, which unfortunately not a good review, and got the standard automated cheery thank you, your comments are very important to us’ response. After 24 hours without a true acknowledgment of my complaint I emailed them with the same information and am so very disappointed that almost a week later I still haven’t had at least an acknowledgment of my complaint. It’s one thing to deal with the good times well, but a true measure of worth is how they deal with the ‘didn’t meet expectations’. Now, sadly, neither the holiday they sold me nor their response to my comments have met my expectations.

Two days later - Responsible Travel have now acknowledged my email and are in the process of looking into it and taking action to ensure the holiday offered is up to the standard expected. Thank you.

We have now used Responsible Travel several times and they have always managed to fulfil our requirements perfectly. Responses from their recommended tour operators have been swift and the choices we have made have worked out extremely well. Their partners abroad all perfectly fulfil the ethical/ conservation-based requirements which we want and expect.

This is the 3rd time I've used Responsible Travel. Each time they have been super friendly and helpful and came up with 4 or 5 suggestions to fit my request. All the holidays I have booked have been excellent.

Brilliant experience from Responsible Travel; once they understood what I was looking for, they gave me great advice and then introduced me to a couple of their partner agencies. Through them, I booked a volunteer trip top Romania, working at the bear sanctuary. It was an amazing experience and I'm so grateful to have been able to do it.

First timer booking with Responsible Travel but it will not be the last!! I went to Bhutan with one of Responsible Travel’s local partners and was blown away. Everything was handled professionally and communication was great all around! Bhutan was beautiful, you need to visit!

Just returned from 9 days in Egypt with Responsible/Encounters Travel. We've had an amazing time. Super knowledgeable guide Khaled kept us informed the whole trip. What a lovely man! All very well organised to make the trip as smooth as possible. A really good mix of seeing some of the real Egypt - cities and countryside, the incredible historical antiquities and comfortable hotels.

Really great trip and rewarding experience with the Mahouts Elephant Foundation in Thailand. We learned so much about the people, the culture, the land, animals, forest and food and made what I hope will be friends and connections for life. A piece of our heart remains in the village.

We came into contact with Responsible Travel when searching for Antarctica cruises. Charlotte Caffrey demonstrated quickly how extremely knowledge and efficient her service was in directing us to a number of options. Holly Payne nearer to our departure assisted with the pre departure paperwork and was also excellent. Our chosen expedition on MS FRAM ( the Hurtigruten line ) suited us perfectly and we will be booking through Responsible Travel again as a consequence.

Responsible Travel are totally reliable in their recommendations. When sustainability and supporting local communities is a priority, then please turn to them. We have just returned from a superb trip to South India with Bespoke India travel, a small brilliant company we would not have heard of without Responsible Travel. We have used RT before and will use them again

I have just returned from a 62day trip to South America and Antarctica which Responsible travel helped with by putting me in touch with a few agents who specialise in such trips. The agency, Trans Humans, who we went with, is based in Mendoza Argentina and worked out a very broad and extensive schedule in minute and precise detail. Federica Maliaco, our agent from Trans Humans, worked with us from start to finish. Throughout our trip she was in frequent contact to ensure all our transfers, hotels and flights were as expected. She even informed us of changes in flight times before the airlines. We had a medical emergency in one instance and Federica helped with every detail including attending the hospital with my friend to ensure language issues did not hinder timely treatment. Absolutely fantastic customer service with great attention to every detail.

Responsible Travel were helpful and enthusiastic right from my first tentative enquiry and put me touch with a company offering a tour of Vietnam that was perfect for me: 17 days travelling from Hanoi in the north down to the Mekong Delta and Ho Chi Minh City in the south, and it proved no trouble to add days on at the start and end of the official tour for me to explore on my own. The tour was a fascinating mix of seeing natural wonders, learning more about the country's long and painful history of suffering and armed struggle, and pure relaxation and pleasure, travelling in a small group of very congenial companions and enjoying some wonderful food.

The helpful staff put me in touch with various holiday providers so that I could quickly choose. Thank you.

We had a wonderful 4 day trip in a Felucca on the Nile. We were 4 travellers with 4 crew- the captain, the cook, and two people who sailed. The crew were wonderful and kind and funny. Karim made sure everything went smoothly and was incredibly hospitable. At night we stopped at the side of the Nile where no other tourists go. No electricity or running water. Really tranquil. During the day we stopped at villages, markets and archeological sites. I hope to go again to a different part of the Nile.
