We’ve just returned from a fabulous gulet holiday in Turkey. Fortuna slept 14 people with a crew of 4.
The whole trip was wonderful. We travelled from Fethiye to Marmaris and then returned to our starting port.
Each night we moored in a different beautiful bay for swimming or just relaxing under the stars. The crew were all so lovely and friendly. Our chef was incredible, producing delicious meals from a small, hot kitchen.
We spent the week with a great group of people from all over the world, great experience.

I found Responsible Travel all the way down in South Africa, and used them to book a sailing holiday in Croatia. Everything about the booking process, their communication, the boat we ended up on, our crew and whole experience was superb.

Responsible Travel are really great at introducing us to smaller travel companies that one might not find easily. We discovered them when we were looking for a volunteering placement back in 2012. We had a great experience volunteering on a Leopard Conservation Project and have kept in touch with Will and Carol, of On Track Safaris, ever since.

Responsible Travel were extremely easy to deal with. I explained the sort of holiday we were looking for and they gave us some suggestions that fitted our brief. Planet Vis was an amazing holiday, everything as described. I would certainly use and recommend both Responsible Travel and Planet Vis.

Whilst my actual travel experience was not run by Responsible Travel (The Great Projects is one of their partners). I like how Responsible Travel still donated a small sum to pay for a day trip for a child as part of an “donation” on my behalf. Also, I like how Responsible Travel staff checked in with me to see if I had gotten help from The Great Projects after the referral.

We were planning a trip to Croatia to visit the National Parks. I reached out to Responsible Travel and got excellent advice (including pointers for other parts of our trip not booked with their aid) on all aspects of our desired trip and a referral to Huck Finn Adventures. We were told once in Croatia that Huck Finn is one of the premier tour providers in Croatia and that was certainly our experience. Many thanks to all the folks at Responsible Travel and Huck Finn Adventures for making our trip into a bucket list checking adventure. We were so happy to be booked at local hotels and guesthouses....both enhanced our experiences in Croatia. Likewise the referrals to local restaurants made our dining experiences an important part of the adventure. We will definitely reach out to Responsible Travel when planning future trips anywhere in the world.

A truly fabulous holiday very well organised. The hotel was excellent, the whale watching exciting, the scenery fantastic and the people warm, friendly and helpful. Wish we had discovered the Azores earlier and will definitely be back. Thanks to all for making our time so memorable.

Recently went whales watching on Pico island via Dolphin and Whale Connection with Futurismo. Excellent ethical company. Do not expect to see tv type whales. They are mostly submerged but still very exciting. Can be wet

We have just returned from an amazing holiday in India. From the original arrangements right up to the last moment everything ran like clockwork. We were so well looked after throughout. We stayed in Homestays which gave us an insight into the local people. All our accomodation had been personally vetted by the company and were excellent. Such warm friendly hosts. Das deutschsprachige Reisebüro in Quito hat uns als Familie nach unseren Wünschen eine perfekte Rundreise mit englischsprachigem Guide/Fahrer organisiert. Sowohl in der Vorbereitungszeit als auch während der Reise war der Kontakt sehr eng und persönlich. Francis vom Reisebüro und Christian unser Guide wussten immer, was uns interessiert. Wir fühlten uns immer sehr gut betreut und fühlten uns zu jedem Zeitpunkt sicher auf unserer Reise trotz Teilreisewarnungen durch das auswärtige Amt. Unsichere Gebiete wurden vom Reisebüro konsequent vermieden. Danke für die tolle Reise, es war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis!

Prices on Responsible since Covid are eye-watering!

In 2019 their trip Peru->Bolivia->Chile was about £1,600pp, now it's £5,600! ...excluding flights!!

There is no way that our currency has slipped against South America by 350% in the last 5 years.

Edit: Hear what you're saying. We have money to spend, but we're not interested in paying through the nose for the sake of it. I'm 51 now but can still slum it a bit if needed :)
