Due to a problem with my car, I had to return the kit. However I feel compelled to shared this good feedback regarding the excellent support I received all along, from the assistance with the set-up and the guidance when returning the package. I will 100% be a returning customer when I will buy a more suitable car.

I recently had an issue with my racechip xlr5 I email them and got a reply from roman what a great guy he responded very quickly and tried to troubleshoot the issues without luck he then sent me a prepaid envelope to send the racechip back and very soon I got a replacement can't thank these guys enough would definitely purchased from racechip again

Fiat 500c twinair 105hp, After reading some of the reviews I was a bit nervous to purchase, I rang racechip and spoke to a great guy who after telling him what I wanted to achieve he said the cheapest chip at £139.00 set on 5 would do the job. I ordered this and the chip came within a few days.
When it turned up there were no instructions in the box so I called Racechip and Charlotte emailed me the correct instructions.
Today I went about fitting the Racechip, The hardest part was getting the engine cover off, I followed the instructions exactly, it took about an hour but I was being extra cautious and double checked everything as I went along.
Thank fully when I turned the ignition on everything was perfect, the race chip lit up green and my dash was fine, I then started up and engine ran perfect.
Went out for a test drive and to my amazement the racechip has made a huge difference, Between 1st & 2nd a lot more torque, I can now pull away in second without the car stalling, in all gears I can now change gear earlier and the car pulls so much better, the engine is defiantly a lot smoother it feels more like a 4 cylinder not a 2 now. If the chip keeps behaving as it is now I can highly recommend this product and the company. I can not fault the service I received.

Utter rubbish. Purchased the RS tuner and XLR5 throttle tuner and App for my BMW G60 520i. Have made absolutely no difference whatsoever and the app has a mind of its own. I contacted Racechip who said no don't return it, let our tech guys look at it....why...just a ploy to get me to keep it. If you are advertising criteria on improvements then shouldn't it achieve them out of the box?

As for the app...the worst think I have ever downloaded on my phone. It decides if I go from eco or sport or race settings as when you click on one, it just jumps to another of its own choice....another £50 waste of money.

Seriously, for me,these products are the biggest con I have ever had. I has a Bluespark unit in my last car, that worked great but tried Racechip because it looked like a great option for this car......wish I had never found their website. The products and app are rubbish.

Update 15th April 2025...so the RaceChip response if very interesting, and utter rubbish. At no point did I request technical support nor want it. As I stated, if it doesn't make a difference out of the box as advertised then why would their technical support make any difference. Buyers choice, buy something, it's not as described then I send it back. I dont need the patronising responses.

More interestingly, first Race Chip flagged my review as fake, proved wrong when I sent a copy of my order to Trustpilot ..then they asked my review to be taken down as it was defamatory...guess what, Trustpilot reviewed and agreed it wasn't.

Racechip is a very very sad company who will do anything to have negative reviews removed.

Excellent throttle up-grade, much more responsive and easy to adjust modes.

Great piece of kit. Easy to install. Good price. Main difference I feel is at low rpm (less lag).

From the packaging through to the module the whole piece is premium. Under an hour to install and thanks to the app easy to control and adjust in the car and even in motion. Noticeable power gains and economy, really impressed by the whole experience. Glad I went for the top version straight off.

This is my 2nd tuning chip and both have been brilliant, easy to install and use. Nice clear instructions and really easy transaction. Highly recommend

Fast delivery, easy to follow instructions. Boosts my BMW's performance. I got the premium chip as they were doing a discount on their website. You can tell the difference when you want the extra power.

The race chip throttle control unit is really good. Easy to install. Easy to set up and recommend.
I fitted this to an Audi R8 V10 and it definitely helps with throttle response.

Good product.. Got it for the economy mode and the Van went from 31mpg to 35mpg.. Not tried the performance mode yet..

Ordered a RaceChip, easy to install but it made my car go directly into limp mode. I made a report and they tried to fix it with an update, that didn't work. After that first report I made two more reports and every time they came with an update but my car still went into limp mode. The power of the chip gets reduced every time they try to update it, which defeats the purpose of the product. I have tried to make clear that I still don't have a working product but their customer service is completely ignoring my report. Don't buy from them because they sell products that don't work properly and they treat you like you don't matter.

The delivery was super quick!! The kit is of high quality. I had a bit of trouble installing as I’m a novice but when I called the support team walked me through the process and it was pretty easy
I purchased the full kit with the throttle response ad on too and app connectivity and it’s so easy to use
Making the car more responsive more power I’m very happy and the support and customer service is amazing 🤩

Had the race chip RS in my 330d for about 2 year now works as described and costumer care and help has been excellent would 100% buy again.The main thing for me is the changeable maps this was the reason I choose this over a remap.

Gave good power increase and torque, no extra miles per gallon.
Be aware free re-map lasts for 2 years only.
And they will not re-map after.
So gotta change your car if you want.

Got my chip delivered this week, the images sent with the product did not match my engine, but made a call in and correct images sent within 10 mins

Had a slight issue where the engine light came on however that was my fault as I missed out one of the steps, once completed correct the difference is so noticeable

As per other reviews, the fact you can not have the chip reprogrammed after 2 years is not made very clear at the time of sale, pretty sure my chip has the same internals as one someone bought today so the excuse that they may be different is just a ploy to get the consumer to fork out more money when any good business would at least check your serial number to see if it is possible to reprogram rather than just blank deny, these guys are losing out on sales and future custom as I would have paid to have it reprogrammed even though was originally told for the original price it came with one free reprogramming. This review is reposted as they seem to have 2 review pages, if you look at the other page you will see their customer service is just generic as they reply the same comment (and probably will do the same to this one) to anyone with the same issue rather than actually looking into the complaint in the first place.
UPDATE - following on from the reply, why hide the 2 year statement behind an icon that most people won’t think to click on as it just looks like a list stating features? Says a lot really! In terms of compatibility checking the serial number would be more beneficial as in my case both cars owned past and present were both on the market at the same time and still are now so i’m sure the circuit boards will still be the same now as opposed to when purchased.
