Great experience all round doing…

Great experience all round doing business with Punch. Great advice at purchasing stage, computer was in perfect order and well put together. Post sales services spot on as well. Great price, very competitive.

Brilliant customer service: second to none.

I basically rang up with a general question on expanding my pc’s hard drive capacity with a view to purchasing another 1tb.
Jonathan was really quick and helpful in his response and options available to me.
In the meantime I had found my old pc’s 1tb hard drive and wondered whether this would/could be used.
Bit of a cheeky question really but Jonathan guided me through the process and supplied photos/instructions.
Really good, honest customer service, especially as a successful outcome to a cheeky question would mean a no sale for Punch Technologies.
Couldn’t fault the customer service on this and when my current pc is due for a change will certainly give Jonathan and Punch Technology my business.

Excellent service and kept me updated…

Excellent service and kept me updated regularly on the progress of my laptop warranty claim.

Jonathan sent back my replacement laptop with my existing hard drive fitted and re-encrypted in the new chassis so it was returned to me with nothing to do except login and go!

Superb ongoing support from Punch Technology

I bought a top spec PC from Punch last November. A program (Affinity Photo) has recently been crashing. I phoned Punch today and Jonathan spent 1¾ hours helping me (he called me back), with telephone support throughout and on-line remote support except when the computer was re-booting. He stuck with it until the problem was fixed. I have found out from Serif Affinity that it turns out that there is reported to be a bug in the top Intel i9 CPU and while waiting for Intel to provide a fix, the motherboard manufacturers (in this case, ASUS) have provided a BIOS upgrade to overcome the problem.
I would not have known this, and would not have known how to fix it.
A big Thank you to Punch Technology and to Jonathan. I would definitely trust them again if buying another computer.

The PC was delivered a week late + Poor Service

The PC was delivered a week late - despite repeated promises it would arrive on-time. (15 emails sent to date.) There was NO relevant documentation with the PC -and it has one faulty component.

I immediately emailed to no avail, and then called their 'HelpLine' the day after receipt of the unit. The member of Staff answering, 'hung-up' on me when he judged I'd made a "rude" comment about the lack of response to my MANY messages!

NOT what you expect when they've had my £2,599 for almost 3 weeks before delivery.

Re The Response( below): I do not accept my "language and attitude" was "unacceptable". It's not true that I used any unacceptable language. My 'attitude' was one of total FRUSTRATION with the poor service -and misinformation, I have received from this company.

They might avoid employing staff on a 'Helpline' who are so easily upset by the slightest of criticisms...and who are then themselves rude to customers (by hanging up on them.)

I wonder if I can send this PC back, rather than having to deal with them for 3 years!!

We're extremely disappointed to hear that we were unable to get the PC to you on time. We aim to dispatch all systems within the stated timeframe, but as all our none-next day systems are built to order, occasionally this timeframe can overrun.

Unfortunately, due to the configurable nature of the systems we build and supply, we are unable to provide any form of documentation that will cover all possible configurations, but our expert team are on hand Monday-Friday, 9.00-5.30pm to assist with any queries you may have.

We appreciate that the system represents a significant investment and that the delay to dispatch is disappointing, for which we apologise. After careful review, your attitude and language towards our staff was not acceptable, which we will not tolerate. Our customer service team are here to try and help customers when issues do arise. Our systems undergo rigorous internal testing, but due to the nature of the components, issues may occur, which we can usually resolve fairly quickly.

I have had 4 PC's since 2020 but…

I have had 4 PC's since 2020 but unfortunately this may be the last time I order. On the whole they are a good company but as another reviewer said, there are issues regarding updates, length of time of build (after paying over £50 for Express) and not offering the chance to speed up the build by choosing another part other than the one stuck on order.
My 1st/2nd PC's were perfect, the 3rd lasted less than 6 months, side panel damaged by strong glue of stickers - the case manufacturer sent me a free side panel from Germany, screws missing from parts (yes, only 2 screws holding in a 1000 power unit!) and needing 2 motherboards, both of which failed.
My latest PC is still not here. It was ordered on Monday 27 May (Bank Holiday) on £50 Express Build. It was due today but DPD blamed a motorway accident for non arrival. Speaking of DPD, this is the 3rd consecutive package from Punch that DPD have failed to deliver, yet you have no option to choose another carrier.
As I said, Punch Technology are a good company but it is tiring to go through the chasing-up process and they appear to be a little slap-dash. It seems they are also not too eager to let you know that the service you paid for will not come about (mine was just on the 5th day this time but only after I made contact with them).
Mr Sion Roberts has been the person who has been most helpful for my last 2 purchases (I shouldn't have had to buy 2 PC's since January though!). Even when he was out of the country he made contact with his office to ensure that my PC would be built and picked up by DPD on time. The fact that it then slips into a parallel dimension when they collect it is not completely the fault of Punch, but maybe if they gave other options?

While I did eventually receive my laptop from Punch Technology, within 6 months of getting it it developed an issue. Trying to get this resolved was very though, Punch Technology's communication throughout the process was lacking. There were significant delays in response times, which caused frustration.

For anyone considering buying from Punch Technology:

It's important to thoroughly test the product upon arrival to ensure it functions properly. I will add (if you can) get extra warrantee because unlike other electronic companies, my experience with Punch Technology doesn't give me any confidence in their laptops. Given my experience with communication delays, it's wise to be proactive in addressing any potential issues.

AMD High Performance mATX Desktop PC

I can only report on the buying experience which was very good. I will send another review after a few months of use.
Delivery within estimated time. No damage in transit.
All components to the custom build specification. No loose screws rattling around in case. Very good UK support. Quiet fans with normal office use.

Great until things go wrong

Great until things go wrong! Called for assistance with a faulty motherboard. Was advised over the phone that it would be repaired under warranty, so packed the board, and shipped it back at my expense. Took a week for them to acknowledge the delivery, then after this time they then informed me that it wasn't under warranty and sorry but they made a mistake. Total waste of my time and money...

Shocking

Shocking. Ordered £3500 pc with express build 3-5 working days. Not heard anything, so I emailed asking about update. They replied “it’s only day 3 we will update when we start”.
On day 5 (!!!) still no contact I called to ask about it. Been told they apparently just ordered motherboard because they haven’t even looked (!!!) at my order yet and possibly will build next day and should be shipped mid week. It is now Wednesday afternoon, I still haven’t heard if they even STARTED to work on it. Customer service on the phone was terrible, didn’t care at all, no explanation of why they being late and that “best they can do is refund the express build” but so far I got nothing.
If I ever get my order (which I highly doubt now), I will update the review considering the product.
UPDATE:
I was contacted by Maria on that day. She explained that there was few parts that they had to order and this is why it was late. It was build same day and to my surprise delivered next day of which also I got email about so I knew when to expect it. It came very well packaged and runs amazing. Overall I am happy with it now, it’s good to know they do actually care about the customers.

After an internal review, we believe in this instance, the express element of your build was missed from your order which is why our customer service team advised that the build hadn't yet begun (our standard build time is 7-10 days).

Excellent products with support

I have been a customer of Punch for a number of years and rely on their expertise for building my PCs. Also, I know I can get support if I encounter any IT problems.
I feel I can receive personal attention from the team when required.

Great knowledge

I know just enough about PCs to make a well-meaning expensive mistake, luckily Jonathan at Punch was there to guide me. He wasn't pushy, in fact he even talked me into downgrading a couple of items on a ready to go configuration to focus more on other elements better suited to my type of work.

As pleased as Punch with my new Video Editing PC.

It took me a while to decide which computer company to go with as this is a fairly big investment but after much investigation and deliberation I decided on Punch Technology because of the easy to digest information and specifications on their website and following a couple of calls I'd made to their technical team before making my decision, during which they were extremely helpful in determining my needs and what pieces of equipment would suit my needs best.
My order was despatched and delivered withing the timeframe they had originally advised and I was extremely please to see how well packaged the item was on a crated delivery.
Needless to say that when everything was plugged in and running, it all worked like a dream and the time it now takes me to compile and edit a 20 minute 4k video is probably only a 1/10th of the time it was taking me previously.
Based on my experience to date, I would highly recommend Punch Technology and would definitely use them again.
