I have been on the phone for over 1 hour to take carer of a simple insurance issue. Their phone tree keeps putting me back in their phone tree and I start all over again. When you finally get a person one tell you one thing and they other completely opposite.
Don't use.

Erik and the Planet home team were absolutely wonderful through our refinance process. They made it stress free, and helped inform us every step of the way. Maralee and team were very knowledgeable about different financing options, responded quickly to all of our questions, and managed to have our loan in place in a short timeline, despite several changes that had to be made due to circumstances. This made our move from out of state possible.

Beware! Do not obtain a mortgage through Planet Home Lending, especially if you are a service member, as they do not seem to care about your service to the country. I am active duty military and was overseas for work for months. I paid my mortgage on time but accidentally selected my savings account instead of my checking account, which had the funds. PHL sent physical mail and tried to call, but I was not local and had a temporary overseas phone number. They also sent an email simply stating "message from PHL" with no indications of urgency. In the end, the payment was reversed and I "missed a payment." They reported this to the credit bureau, which caused my credit score to decline by more than 150 points. When I saw this on my credit report, I called and explained the situation, and told them I could pay for the missed and current payments. I asked if they could remove the credit hit and they denied my request, saying that PHL does not do "good faith credit penalty removals," even after I explained my situation and offered to show my military orders. My credit score went from 810 to the 600s. I will be refinancing with another company as soon as possible. I do not recommend Planet Home Lending to anyone. Beware!

Called and set up a payment over the phone and they didn’t do it. They took seven days to take mortgage payment out. Terrible!!!

I have called numerious times and have been unable to talk to a real person. This company leaves a lot to be desired in a mortgage servicer. HEY PLANET LENDING SERVICE is in your title... learn how to answer the phone

This worthless company purchased my mortgage after my then lender went into receivership from the FDIC. I had storm damage and filed a claim with our insurance company and was issued a check made out to me and Planet Home Lending. I had the repairs completed to prevent further damage to my home. I sent to check to the Loss Draft Department for Planet Home Lending and uploaded the adjusters report. It was under $40,000.00 in damages and the check should have been released once determined my mortgage was current and the adjuster report was uploaded. I have called and checked status a couple times, the last time was this morning which is 8 days after they received the check and I uploaded the adjusters report for the damages repaired. They asked today to verify my address and it will now be an additional 6 to 10 days before they can release the check back to me. I do not understand why they had not verified the address previously on the other status checks I had made. They do not seem to care when I asked for the process to be expedited as to avoid a lien being placed on my for not paying the $26,000.00 to the contractor a month after the damages have been repaired. I will be soon refinancing with another company to get away from this garbage company Planet Home Lending.

Is there a No Star button? They really need a no star button around here. All I’m going to say is the truth. If you have a chance to go with another company I suggest you do that. If fall behind on a payment, they you lock out of the online system so you can’t make payments. Then they told me that if I couldn’t make the entire payment don’t make it all because if you send half now and the other half when you get it they won’t accept it and will send your payments back. It seems like a slick way to take your house. How can they refuse payments? I was sick in the hospital. I had 5 surgeries and am about to have another. That would put anyone behind. But when I told them I was going to pay half and half that wasn’t going to work so I guess death is not an excuse. In reply to their message, I have the telephone number. There are no options to discuss because I paid in full. Just know that I was told that my payments would be returned to me if not paid in full. I was locked out of the online payment system. And it made me feel as if you wanted my home and not my payment. Be careful how you treat your customers. They keep your business going. What happens if we all leave.

Called regarding my loan and nobody can give me a answer they only transfer my call to different people and no solid answer.

I got notice that this worthless company is taking over my loan. I tried to get some answers from the customer service but SHE was very rude to me and would not even listen to my questions. I then called my former mortgage company UWM, who handled my refi back in 2021. That customer Rep. was very polite answered my questions and after reading all the one stars review it looks like I should contact my bank and see if they can buy out my mortgage so i don't have to go thru all the problems other people have had with this company.
