I think planet Home lending is probably one of the worst lenders I’ve ever worked with. From getting our mortgage sold to them and the experience that I’ve had to try to do a principal reduction payment recast their process seems absolutely ridiculous, you’re constantly dealing with somebody out of country and this has been hands-down the worst service I’ve ever received. Instead of doing a principal reduction payment recast we’ve decided we’re just going to refinance our brand new loan just to get away from them.

Brie and her team were awesome. So easy. They handled everything. It went so smooth ad they were available for my questions and were always prompt. Thank you.

I cannot say enough great things about Vince Ortiz. He went above and beyond throughout my home purchase and made the entire loan process smooth and stress-free.

We started the buying process last year. We had a realtor that helped us right to Planet Home Lending for our Mortgage. Being the first time buyers planet Home Lending helped us finish out. We then contacted them for a refi. They helped get us lower interest rate and lower payments. We discussed later doing a check later to do a pay out loan for some repairs that need to be done. I Highly recommend them for home loans. We used VA backed loan and it was so simple and stress free with Planet Home.

Our experience with Planet Home Lending during an insurance claim has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Despite submitting all required documentation and insurance checks, there have been significant and ongoing delays in releasing funds needed to begin repairs.
We have reached out multiple times and have been unable to get clear answers, timelines, or meaningful assistance from any representative. Customer service has been consistently lacking, especially given the urgency of the situation.
Planet Home Lending has also communicated directly with our insurance provider, confirming the claim is valid and ready to move forward, yet they continue to delay disbursement and have indicated funds may be held even longer.
We have made it clear that funds can be sent directly to the contractor, but even with that flexibility, no progress has been made. These delays are preventing necessary repairs and creating avoidable hardship.
Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience with poor communication and lack of urgency.

I needed a payment history for my mortgage but when I went online to create a summary page, the document did not reflect the company name/information.

I then called planet lending ( now Planet) to request the summary history and the representative stated they do not have nor can they create a payment history document with the company’s name on it.

I requested to speak with a supervisor who then informed me that I should request a verification of mortgage instead and do so via email.

I submitted the request via email with the general information ( loan#, address, my contact) and then I get an automated response that stated that the request must be in writing!!

I then called the customer service number again and had the representative fully provide the necessary information needed based on their criteria so I can submit the request appropriately and completely.

Now I wait to see how long it will take them to process my request.

I am so grateful that I have mortgage company options. Hopefully, my next one will be client service oriented!

06/03/2026. I wanted to provide an update. I did get the verification of mortgage within 24 hours so I increased the rating to two.

We refinanced our home with planet home lending, it was a great experience. Nick Dejesus was our agent he got us everything he promised. Lower Apr lower payments years and money off the life of our loan. He was very knowledgeable and got it done quickly. I would highly recommend if you’re looking to refinance or even buy a home call them and ask for Nick. He always took my calls answered all my questions even the stupid ones lol!🫶🏻💯the💣 Thanks Nick

Maralee and Richard made this stressful process pain free and very easy. They took the time to answers all of our questions and walked us through every step. I would highly recommend this company.

Very knowledgeable, moves fast and is very thorough. Got me from pre-approval to close in about 30 days. Couldn't be more pleased.

Randy Perre was amazing, he is professional, walked me through the process. I made a mistake and he was able to resolve it. I never had a problem with him answering my calls, test messages and e-mails. I am now a home owner. I highly recommend Randy.

Three months and I still can't get them to recalculate escrow and payment. I'm at the point I'll take over doing this very basic task myself.

Worst company you can imagine. This company purchased my loan from another mortage lender and never notified me of the transfer and as a result my payment was late. They also intentionally disable your ability to pay online. In my personal opinion the company intentionally makes it inconvenient as possible to make your payments. I highly recommend if they buy your mortgage to immediately find a new company. Regardless if they make a mistake they will dock your credit and make it appear as if your the problem.

PHL is a reliable mortgage company that I would recommend. I encountered an issue after the refinance process, but Brian Jaeger addressed it promptly and effectively. While it is preferable for everything to proceed without complications, it is reassuring to know that PHL is committed to achieving customer satisfaction.

This is the absolute worst bank I’ve ever had to deal with in my life. Customer service is horrible. I will be refinancing soon if anything just to get away from them.

Tried to call for some simple questions, after 5 minutes of verifying I got annoyed when asked "what's the best time to call you?" I told them there wasn't and what does this have to do with verification. Ended up hanging up the phone because verification was taking so long and asking ridiculous questions like that.
