Buying a car from Penton Salisbury was a great experience.
We just walked in to kill time while waiting on our car to be serviced nearby, we didn’t expect to walk out 45 minutes later putting down a deposit!
The service from Wilfie was worth 5 stars, and if I need another car at any point I will be back.

Recently bought a second hand Skoda Fabia Estate from Penton MG. The environment is very professional and welcoming. Wilfie was the sale executive through the whole process and was amazing from start to finish. The service from him and the rest of the staff were brilliant; very friendly and approachable and you felt like you were being looked after with every step. Communication through phone calls and emails were great and very responsive. Wilfie made sure to let me know about any questions he had and was more than happy to answer any questions from me. When collecting my car, the car looked very fresh and clean, so well done to the valeting team as well. I would highly recommend Penton MG and to have Wilfie as your sales executive.

My last car change was 11 years ago, and I was not looking forward to this one, so I was pleasantly surprised with the relaxed atmosphere at Penton MG Salisbury, with plenty of time to look and no pressure.
Wilfie was our point of contact during the initial and purchase visits, and Oakley guided us through the subsequent handover and part-exchange paperwork. Both were very helpful and there was a follow-up call after a few days to make sure everything was OK, so well done to Penton for taking the stress out of going electric.

After initial enquiry issues, Scott took over, resulting in us purchasing a car from him. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, didn't rush us making sure that we had all the information we needed about the car we were buying. Would recommend him and his team.

I had my car serviced and MOT on the 11th August 2025. Having done so for the last 6 years, I am disappointed that the service I received yesterday was way below expected standards. When I collected the car, the car had not been cleaned. I then waited whilst the car was being cleaned. I had to ask Lucy who was at reception to come out to see the state of the car. There were still wet arears as the car was not dried properly. The inside of the car was still dirty. The back of the car looks as if it was not even clean. In the past when I collected my car following service and MOT, the condition feels good to drive as it had always been cleaned to a high standard. To add insult to injury, the tyre pressure of the car came out as needing attention. I have photos of the state of the car taken yesterday which include cob web on the wing mirror, etc.
I went to the garage with the intention of taking up your 3–year service and MOT plan as I had done so on the two previous occasions. But decided against it after the way I felt I was held to ransom, when I wanted to take my car to my regular garage for the MOT failure to be fixed. I was told that I had to pay £150 for a diagnostic test to be done and then hourly rate for the work, to pass the MOT. And if I take the car off-site. I will have to pay for the MOT again as the garage does not know what I had done to the car. Last year I did have to take my car off-site to have new tyres fitted and there were no mentioned of having to pay for the MOT again. I am not a technical person. This morning I took my car to my regular garage and was told that if a car failed MOT, I should have 10 days to have it fixed without having to pay MOT. Your staff did eventually agreed that if I return within 9 days, there will not be additional charge for the MOT.
At the moment of writing this, I am still waiting for your manager to call me, as he was not available yesterday.

A great thanks to Amy in Christchurch for arranging the recall for air bag replacement at my home. Plus thanks to Nick and Ollie, (I believe that’s their names) for carrying the repair. Really appreciated.

I dealt with Scotty- very helpful and professional at all times. Flexible when I had to change collection date as car was being brought back to Northern Ireland. Scotty was very knowledgeable about the model of car and added extras ,very attentive and a pleasure to do business with. Would certainly buy from Penton group again.

Visit was prearranged as we were travelling a great distance. The vehicle which was in the show room had been removed and was made ready for our arrival, On arriving Scott allowed us time with the car to review that our needs were indeed met with this make and model. Confirming this, Scott provided us with a route map for a test drive with pates which we did. On our return we concluded the commercials and handed over our old car in part exchange. Total process was painless and professional, Thank you Scott for working with us on this and making the purchase a positive experience.

Very professional service, answered all our questions, never felt pressured into buying . It was well worth the long drive from Hereford!

We had a great recent experience at Penton MG Salisbury with Sales Executive Oakley Sharpe who dealt with us from start to finish on buying our new car. He has a lovely personality and was very knowledgeable about all the car's features, the paperwork and any other questions we had he was able to answer. He even managed to get the car delivered to our home and came to do the handover which was exceptional as we were undergoing difficult circumstances. We were so impressed with MG Salisbury, we have also taken up a service plan. Thank you Oakley and Ben for all your smooth running of us buying our new car.
