Absolute nightmare scam artists!!

I validated 2 hours free M&S parking ticket and took pics of the machine date stamped just in case of any fines. They replied to my appeal and said no record of my car being validated. Now passed to debt recovery at £170.

No parking exemption for blue badges. Only place in greater Manchester I've experienced this. Cheap bastards.

This company needs to be removed- they send you fines if their app doesn’t work and then send to debt recovery- DO NOT USE!!!!!! You will be scammed

Pay for monthly parking to park at a spot, still got PCNs, I repeat pcnS FOR NOT PARKING IN A MARKED BAY IN A LARGE CAR PARK THAT IS ALMOST ALWASY EMPTY ON WEEKEND AND WE PAY MONTHLY PARKIN PERMIT FOR. THIEVES JUST STEALING FROM US.

This company is only bothered about making money and handing out tickets for no real reasons. I received a parking ticket for not being parked within the parking bay, I was parked on the line due to another vehicle parking on the line and I needed space to get out of my vehicle. The like I parked on was next to yellow chevrons so nobody could park or drive there anyway. I wasn’t causing an obstruction but yet I received a hefty fine of £60. I quickly popped into a shop to pick up an order and I must have been about 10 minutes if that. I am disgusted after reading reviews on here about similar stories and it is apparent the company are only concerned with lining their own pockets and have zero customer service. They have managed to take photos of my vehicle in the time I got out of my vehicle and quickly nipped into the shop. They are vultures and they will continue to penalise people for simply parking their vehicles.

Received a £100 parking charge for being just 14 seconds over the paid parking time. I submitted an appeal and received an automated email confirming it had been received. However, the outcome of the appeal went into my spam folder, so I never saw that it had been rejected. The next communication I received was a letter stating that I had lost the opportunity to pay the reduced £60 charge and now had to pay the full £100.

Despite explaining this, Ocean Parking simply sent generic responses that completely ignored the points I raised. They also refused to exercise any discretion over an alleged 14-second overstay. Extremely poor customer service and an unreasonable approach to dealing with genuine customers. I would avoid using any car parks managed by this company if possible.

My Daughter broke down at Barnsley Retail Park when her clutch cable broke...RAC 5 hour response and spoke to on site security advising of overstay. Still recieved a fine and was told upon appeal that breaking down was not a valid reason to overstay. Next step complaint and ipc. This company needs investigating. Shocked and frustrated!

If I could give no stars I would, I accidentally put the wrong reg in when using my husbands car but I still paid for a ticket and shown the evidence but my appeal was denied! Disgusting!

Whilst visiting the Peel Centre Stockport I wasn’t able to get a receipt for my parking payment fee from the machine.
Thinking that I the payment may not have gone through I went through the process again against my car registration. Again no receipt but if it allowed me to pay so surely it wouldn’t have allow two payments against the same car registration?……Wrong !
I was charged twice which to my mind is a processing fault … or have they engineered it this way to get more money out of the likes of me.
I sent a mail asking for a refund of one of the amounts and I received the following mail. So end result is that I have now boycotted the Peel Centre Stockport whilst these thieving operators run their parking system.

‘ Please be advised, the machines will accept what is entered into them and it is down to the user to ensure they are paying for the correct vehicle and the correct amount.

Ocean Parking cannot be held responsible if you have made payment twice, as a payment will have shown on your bank statement.

Due to the error on your behalf, a refund will not be actioned.

No further correspondence will be accepted regarding the below.

I wish i could put photos on here....Southgate Car Park in Bradford, had barriers and machine broken on entry and exit ( no tickets produced )
The Place was full of empty beer cans, Drug Needles , Nitrous Oxide cans, and Human Waste.....I sent Photos of the Pay Machines , will the Coin Boxes ripped out......I didnt feel My Car was safe, so i returned after only 13 minutes.....There was nowhere at all for Me to Pay.
Now Ocean Parking are trying to charge Me £100......I have Dozens of Photos and Reviews from Southgate Car Park Website.....Showing the Filth and Squalor.........See You In Court......Where I will be Counter Claiming for a Days Wage.

Wish I could give 0 stars, they are just robbing people with ridiculous priced fines. I had evidence and issues with paying for my time parked in Manchester for a hour. I appealed with my evidence saying I am happy to pay the £3.50 and they emailed straight back with a I don’t care what you have to say email. The people that work or support this company and organisation’s should be ashamed of themselves as well as the shops that hire there services. I hope they never find happiness in life and drown in the misery they have in their day to day lives.

Drove around their car park, stopped checked this was carpark the hotel told us to go to. It wasn't so drove out and got a £60 ticket. Hope they use the money to clean up the car park though as drug and alcohol remnants everywhere.

Parked in car park in Bradford last night to go to see a show at the Alhambra. Never been so disgusted in my life. The payment machine had been pulled off so we paid by phone. Lifts not working so took our lives in our hands going down the steps dodging human excrement, old food, rubbish - and the smell!!! The worst thing was that we paid £7.80 for the privilege! Won’t happen again I tell you. Shame on you!!

Absolutely awful experience from start to finish.

I appealed a parking charge within the required timeframe and Ocean Parking claims they emailed me to tell me my appeal had been rejected. The problem is that I never received that email. I’ve searched my inbox, junk folder and deleted items thoroughly, and there is no trace of it.

Because I was unaware my appeal had been rejected, I missed the deadline to pay the reduced amount and the charge increased. When I contacted them, they simply stated that their system showed the email had been sent, but from my perspective that doesn’t change the fact that I never received it.

I now feel I’ve been forced to pay an increased charge purely to avoid the risk of further action and even higher costs. It feels like there is very little willingness to properly investigate genuine concerns once they have decided their position.

After reading other reviews, I was disappointed to see that a number of people describe similar experiences. While I can only speak for my own case, my experience has left me with very little confidence in how this company deals with customers.

I would strongly advise anyone dealing with Ocean Parking to keep copies of absolutely everything, check all correspondence regularly and challenge anything that doesn’t seem right.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

Worst parking company ever, I don’t do reviews and it’s that bad it’s driven me to do this. Just avoid this place at all costs.

Stockport peel centre, paid for my ticket but had to park on line as it was a corner spot with barb wire hanging over fence, photo evidence including on the photo, appealed it and lost.. funny company more like a comic sketch

I have a blue badge and parked in peel centre unaware i had to also buy a ticket as never been before ,wad fined £60p then appealed and it was rejected, absolutely discusting i have a spine health issue and cant be walking up and down to check there sighns ad i was unaware i ,thought thats why i have a blue badge to help me ,this company how do they sleep at night

This business is hired to scam parking customers.
I have parked in a private parking lot in a Restaurant to later receive a Fine for not paying for my parking. The detail is that they do not expose too well parking signs throughout the parking lot...

Issued a parking charge for a vehicle parked legitimately at an employee's place of work. Building management contacted Ocean Parking's own permits team on 23 April 2026 requesting the vehicle be added to the system — Ocean Parking confirmed it was actioned the same day. Despite this proof that the charge arose from their own administrative failure, they have refused to cancel it and passed it to debt collectors threatening a CCJ. Multiple formal appeals, complaints and evidence ignored. 239 one star reviews says everything you need to know about how this company operates. Avoid at all costs.

close a business down were you park you car no signs until you get to the door
no barriers to stop you getting on the carpark
then send you a fine telling me i should have put my reg in, sorry the computer is behind a chained door how am i ment to do it.
then i leave the carpark within 10 minutes now want £100 off me
