Following a devastating fire at our property in September 2023, and with little progress or support from our insurance company, we contacted Oaskleaf to see if they could help us with our claim.

We were assigned to Dean Goodwin, and from the very beginning, his support, professionalism and commitment were unwavering. Throughout what has been a long and often incredibly difficult journey, Dean was always there to guide us, answer our questions and provide reassurance when we needed it most.

His knowledge and guidance gave us confidence at every stage, but above all, it was his perseverance that made such a difference. Dean never gave up on our claim, even when the process became challenging, and his determination to achieve the right outcome for us is something we will never forget.

Thanks to Dean’s hard work and dedication, together with the support of Oaskleaf, we were able to secure a successful outcome, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they did on our behalf.

Now that we are finally back in our home, we can truly appreciate the incredible restoration work that has been carried out. The attention to detail and care that has gone into every aspect of the restoration is outstanding. I still can't quite believe we are back in the same house—it feels transformed, while still feeling like home. It is a real testament to the commitment, care and professionalism of everyone involved.

This company works with insurance companies behind closed doors to deny claims!! Lengthening the process to make sure the claimants are disheartened and withdraw! Very incompetent staff who are not knowledgeable and are more likely to mislead. Stay clear and choose better if you want professionalism.

You're probably reading this review as part of deciding whether to hire a loss assessor. I have simple advice on that: if your claim is significant _to you_ and/or in any way complex, just do it. These guys leverage significant knowledge about the insurance industry to your benefit; they're incentivised to get you the best outcome they can; and you're getting someone in your corner in what may very well not turn out to be a fair fight.

Then you come to selecting from the assessors out there. I can't speak to any of the others because I hired Oakleafe. But what I can tell you is that, over course of a long and exceptionally gruelling claim, Oakleafe had my back.

My handler Jack was at the end of a Whatsapp call more or less whenever I needed him, and often to provide camaraderie as well as material help. Many of these fellas will have done time in the industry, and it shows: while they can't work magic, they can see the big picture of the insurance game, and help you play it on even terms. There is absolutely no way you will be playing on even terms if you try to do it by yourself.

As to the fee: I suggest you remind yourself that Oakleafe are taking a small slice of a pie whose size they will be making best efforts to increase. And that without them, you'll be fighting an industry doing its level best to eat the whole pie and leave you with nothing.

Personally, I can't fault Jack on his professionality and conduct throughout. Some claims are surprisingly intense and Jack has to walk a tricky line in trying to manage a customer's expectations, disappointments and the general unpleasant rollercoaster ride of it all. It must be quite an intense job.

This is a strong recommendation, in case that wasn't clear. I am sure there are other good loss assessors, but I can recommend this one from first hand experience, and a long-fought campaign that, ultimately, went my way. Worth every penny.
