Easy process from start to finish.

I've hired from this company twice and it was a great experience both times. Hassle free and good value for money. The team are friendly and helpful, definitely recommend.

After being let down at the last minute, a call to No1 soon turned my panic to joy as they found me a van to use for the weekend. Panic turned to joy with friendly helpful staff, would definitely recommend them.

A good local company. Pass the "Ronseal - do what they say they will do" test. Have used for a number of years and will have no hesitation in using again.

The van I was allocated was dirty and stained inside and so decide to upgrade at cost - Very nice vehicle then.
My concern - Having the van checked and signed out by staff had a very "laid back" approach, and the comment " no need to check as it's new and no damage", but I checked and found some damage, so noted and took lots of pictures.
On returning the vehicle, it was checked by the same person as if he was a forensics officer at a crime scene. The van was just as it was and I saw such a disgruntled look when he saw no damage. I was then told "ok and to go", but I would not be provided with the signed copy to say all was ok. So I had to take a photo instead for a copy of my records.
I doubt I will use the services again or indeed recommend

No deposit to pay, like other hire companies. Collection of the van was fast. No waiting around. Receptionist was on the phone when we walked in, but she said she would call them back as we were waiting

Such a quickly and easy process to book a van for my house move- Can was clean and in great condition. Smooth handover and pick up and were very flexible as needed the van for another half day. I would definitely use them again.

I used Number One Car & Van Hire recently as I needed to pickup a Sofabed, purchased on eBay, from Horley and relocate it into my mother's house in Sutton.
I pre-booked and then found the collection experience smooth and easy (bring your 2 required 'documents with you to keep it simple..)
The van I picked up was excellent, very clean and ideal for my needs.
The return process was also completed efficiently and I will be back to Number One if I have a need for another hire vehicle.
