Pace Van Hire, Croydon have been exceptional with reservations over the past Month, especially those at the last Minute.
Exceptionally Clean Vehicles and great Service at the front desk.

Customer service excellent. Staff very helpful. Booked the van for the week before,couldn't make the booking. Spoke to a lovely lady,and she booked the van for the following weekend. Lovely people

Do not use, hired a van back in February returned it after hours. In the morning I was notified of £800 damage, it was parked on the street. I disputed the amount as well due to it being an incidental dent. They withheld my £200 and now over 6 months later have taken the £600 out of my account!!! No warning, I will be raising a formal complaint

At Pace New Cross, you're greeted by Amy, who is one of the rudest members of staff I've ever encountered. She regularly shouts at customers waiting to pick up their vehicle, shouts at customers on the phone, shouts at colleagues, and creates a very unpleasant atmosphere in the branch. This week, she even accused me of things I hadn't done, all while shouting at me at 8:30am.

You can clearly see the frustration and discomfort of both staff and customers around her. Unfortunately, this hasn't been an isolated experience. In fact, it's happened every time I've rented a vehicle from Pace New Cross.

Several of her own colleagues have suggested that I make a formal complaint on multiple occasions, which says a lot about the situation at the branch. I genuinely feel sorry for the other employees who have to work alongside this behaviour every day.

It's disappointing that management appears not to have addressed the issue despite it being so obvious. Customer service sets the tone for any business, and there are many excellent vehicle rental companies in London whose staff treat customers with professionalism and respect. I'd recommend booking with one of them instead.

I hired a van two weeks ago; I paid £89 plus a £200 deposit. I was supposed to get the £200 deposit back within five working days, but it’s now been ten working days and I haven’t received a penny. Every day they say the money will be in my account tomorrow; today they told me I have to wait until Monday. This is frustrating; I just want them to do their job and give me back what is mine.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Used Pace many times for hiring vans. Customer service is brilliant, always helpful and polite. The vans are immaculate, very clean and never any issues. They even have a mechanic garage that has gotten me out of trouble more times than I can count, the guys in there are a credit to their company. Thanks Pace and team!

Rented a van from the guys at pace to clear my mums house out. Very friendly and efficient, the hole process was made so easy for me. Would definitely recommend and will be using them again in the future

Vans are clean , price are good

Renting from here was one of the worst decisions I have ever made.

Issues detailed below:
- First van given did not start due to battery issues
- Second van broke down on the journey, and it took over 2 hours to be able to get in to contact with the emergency contact
- Emergency contact (Hasan) was beyond unhelpful and left an infant without a bed - which was being transported in the van - for the evening because he would not approve the recovery truck to take us to the destination (around 10 mins away) then take the van back to the depot. The recovery truck driver, knowing the circumstance, was more than happy to support but Hasan refused.
- We had to spend an additional day heading BACK to Eltham to transfer the things from the faulty van to a new van in order to do the trip again.
- The team in the Eltham branch (Maggie specifically) were helpful, however, once again Hasan was not.
- No apology from him, he accused us of causing the fault by putting the incorrect petrol into the car
- Once the mechanic determined that the issue wasn't petrol, he never offered an apology
- Subsequently, he threatened us for months with legal action, causing anxiety, to recover the cost to repair the faulty van they provided us.

It is one of the most stressful, traumatic and poorly handed customer service experiences I have ever had with a company.

I will never be using this company again, and I will never recommend their services to anyone.

I do hope they learn how to handle customers with basic respect and care in the future

Two weeks ago I rented a van Ford custom short base from Pace New Cross-quate=£85 per day and£200 deposit.I agreed.Upon my return (prior to 24 h).Parked where I was told to when agreeing.did pictures and video of full vehicle. Following day received a call from Pace New Cross telling me that an attempt to break into the van occurred while I was within the 24 h period,this my responsibility.I was told it was not my fault,but because this happened during my time frames occupancy that they will have to use deposit for repairs.I insisted on the money to be returned butI was told it was already used for repairs.Total cost of rental-£370 for Pace New Cross, and £370 deposit return to bank,total-£740.Would not recommended
