30% discount reduced to 20% for meat
Fresh meat expiring the following day, the discount was 30%. Now the discount reduced to 20%. One customer next to me was telling, let them eat it.
See how people are upset!
No Frills Mozarella Mold Infection
For the third time this year I bought No Name Mozzarella cheese in 400 gram block. For the third time it went moldy in only 3 weeks. The last one I bought 3 weeks ago with a best before date of 2027 JA 12. It is now completely inedible. It has been in the fridge since it was opened and it was tightly sealed in plastic. I will never buy any No Name dairy products again. It looks like Alexander Fleming's lab growth for penicillin.
I usually don't have any issues
I usually don't have any issues. But on one visit the cashier was very nasty about a question. When I go to see the manager on duty she also was rude and decided to run while I'm standing there like there's something serious happening she practically runs into me. I called customer service and after a week the manager reached out wanting so much info that I had given customer service already .the dtore owner said customer service was non cooperative. She tells me she viewed a video of the time she felt this happen and asks about the colour of mycoat it was strange and the store owner Caroline said I was uncooperative with her questions so she is not apologizing
So it's more like she is sticking up for her staff knowing running and making people feel like there's something serious going on can be scary I'm contacting better business bureau and not waisting my precious time wondering what colour coat I would have worn. The complaint was about an angry cashier over points with a manager running like there's a fire. How sad. I don't buy much at this store as I don't find it pleasant the fruit and vegetables are not always fresh and the bread I had gotten once had mold in it so I only buy canned things and eggs and just avoid this store. With Soanynicer stores who needs a manager running like some maniac.
I signed up for PC Express delivery
I signed up for PC Express delivery, and every time I place an order there is always 'out of stock' items with no choice for alternative or prior notice. It has happened constantly like a clockwork.
Stratford Ontario location 2026
Stratford Ontario location 2026, Brent and Jenny are owners according to the sign. They are very rude, to customers and staff alike, as soon as the owners leave the staff are mucking about because the bosses give them a hard time so the staff are not proud of the place or their work.
I used to work across the street, but that was covid times, this store is just getting worse and worse. Check out the reviews on Google, all 4+ star reviews are their own family, some even say "went for a tour because Brent is my nephew" as if that will make it more enjoyable to purchase rotten meat and spoiled milk.
Rude cashiers have issues giving me the number of bags i requested
I visit No Frills at Broadview and Danforth twice a month, and so when I do go, I purchase anywhere between $175 and $200. When I go through the cash, I expect to be treated with respect when I ask for multiple grocery bags, but instead I get sarcasm from some of the cashiers. For example, I purchased over $175 worth of groceries, and I put the bags of milk in a separate bag so they don't get punctured. Yet when i asked for 10 grocery bags, the cashier looked at me and said, "2 bags?" and I know the cashier is doing this deliberately because it's happened one too many times by more than one cashier. One instance I had purchased a little over $200 worth of groceries, and one male cashier tried to bargain with me when I asked for 12 bags. He said to me, "2 bags?," and then I replied back '12 bags, and i know he heard me the first time." Then he said this to me, " 2 bags? " and he said all this while smiling, so I told him again I wanted 12 bags, and then he said to me, "How about I give you 2 bags, and if you need another bag I will give it to you. I was born in Canada in 1967, and in all my years, I have never been harassed by a cashier until a few years ago, and it's still continuing. I have to print out cards, each card with a number of bags so they can visually see the number of bags I want, but this won't change their ignorance. The cashiers at the No Frills at Danforth and Broadview are absolutely horrible.
A huge ripoff
Their fruits and vegetables rot fast but what's worse is their pricing. There is and I mean there is no reason why the cost to food and household products are so high. Take for instance their gain liquid laundry detergent has been holding steady for a large jug at $15 for a long time then the day after minimum wage goes up that same jug is now $17. A $2.00 increase! $2.00 on every jug sold. What a crock of .... just sickening
I purchased steak that were on sale
I purchased steak that were on sale. Got them home and decided to test the CBC weigh policy. Sure enough steaks were off a total of 49 g. or $1.50. Prices are high enough without intentionally robbing customers trying to survive. Bread at $3.50 with the same loaf for $2.50 everyday. I thought the law put a stop to this and were suppose to pay out on a law suit? There are few good guys left in Canada.
I would like to thank the cashier…
I would like to thank the cashier sometime at the end of August; I can’t remember what day , I think it was August 27 th they now sell rotisserie chicken hot out of the oven and even though it was packaged, I have never had anyone ask if I want it in a plastic bag. I didn’t get a name of the person, but she was on cash number three at no-frills in Bridgewater Nova Scotia. So thank you so much.
I have purchased a bag of Jams cat food…
I have purchased a bag of Jams cat food at the NoFrill's
of Mike&Carla in Woodbridge at highway7&Langstaff
about 2 weeks ago, i opened it and put it in my Cat bowl
later in the day my Cat(Giggi) got sick and vomited, i didn't get to alarmed because i had switched to Chicken and Beef from Chicken and Salmon but the next day i checked his bowl and realized that he wasn't eating it, checking the bag i noticed that it was expired February 2025 and it smelled rotten, I went back to The NoFrill's to complain , I had to go back twice in the day because the owner was not available so i left a note with my phone number , the staff or Manager didn't show any concern ,they where to busy and the manager without the Owner couldn't help my complaint . To Day i received a call from The owner and I explained what it happened and i didn't have a receipt, The response of the owner (Mike) that without he wouldn't honor the complain , I pointed out that the item was still in his possession and scanning the bar code could se the purchase date , plus my wife Claudia and my self where good customers for a long time ,The Owner (Mike) replayed that hr didn't Care if i kept on shopping at his store or not.
Driscolls poison berries!
I shop no frills, but I’m troubled by the sale of American produce that is so contaminated by pesticides that there is a class action lawsuit pending in the states.
Driscolls strawberries and blueberries are poison! And sometimes that is the only choice for these berries in No Frills. There needs to be a new contracted supplier. I realize they must be cheap, but there is a reason.
Picked up a bag of avocados
Picked up a bag of avocados. They were reduced in price so thought I was getting a deal. Turned out they were all rotten. Tried to return them for a refund and was told they do not give returns on reduced product. Great marketing scheme to get rid of your rotten product. Buyer beware. No refunds on reduced priced product. Wont be shopping there again.
Renovations didn't improve customer service
They just renovated. Over the past 5 weeks I've had to ask staff where things are each time. 2 out of 5 the man was pleasant and normal, 3 other staff were extremely rude and bizarre. Some cashiers, usually the older women, are polite and professional, but many cashiers are rude - can't seem to say hello, please, and thank you. Management needs to train staff to actually do customer service - not just beep things through or put things neatly on a shelf. Also, they replaced all the tills but there is still no room for bagging your stuff - same terrible design of double belts where everyone is squeezed beside the next till and cashiers can't get in and out when someone is in the next line. The stupidest design ever. So many un-manned tills yet we all get squeezed in, elbowing each other and stressed out because the next person's stuff is now on the belt and you'd better bag your stuff more quickly because you're now in the way. They should have redesigned the tills and trained their staff to be polite - that is what needed improvement.
Incredible customer service.
A friend of mine fell while taking his groceries to his car at Daniel's NO Frills in Casselman Ont. He broke his hip. The staff there took excellent care of him until the ambulance came. They then took his perishable groceries back into the store and took care of them. He will be in the hospital for a week. I went out to Casselman today with a friend to take the injured man's car back to his house. The staff there were terrific. An employee named Daphne helped us get all his groceries together and we delivered the groceries and car to my friend's house. Daphne was an incredible helping this difficult situation. Also Joanne Lacasse was instrumental in assisting Russy when he first fell and hurt himself. Joanne was also instrumental in the return of car and groceries. I was really impressed by everything there today. Top marks.
Limited inventory
Limited inventory. Some many prices are much higher than in Superstore or Walmart. No flyers available to compare prices. If you drive stay away.
Never seem to have on sale items
Never seem to have on sale items. Poorly organised.
The security at Calgary 17th Ave
The security at Calgary 17th Ave. SE need better training. I understand needing to keep the homeless from camping/loitering, but they also have customers remove themselves from the property on occasion. I bought a snack and a drink and was waiting for a friend in the shade of the building, and was told to leave. I told him the situation, and I was obviously a customer, but he was adamant to the point I felt he was harassing.
I was there today to return m something…
I was there today to return m something I she was so rude she treated me so bad without a reason even though I had a receipt and within 2 days I will never go back
No refund for rotten potatoes
We purchased a bag of potatoes for $6.99 that started going rotten less than two weeks later, when I say rotten I mean I had to remove them from our condo and put them in the basement due to the smell. Before that I opened the bag to see if there was a solitary culprit but there were numerous. Purchased when the outside temp for the day was 17C and taken straight home. Stored in a dark closet in an air conditioned room. When I return them to the store they would not give me a refund because there was a 14 day return policy. I explained to them i shouldn’t have had to make a special trip to return them so I waited until I had an opportunity and that potatoes, stored properly, should last two to three months. Bought July 8th. Attempt to return them July 27. Going rotten about July 20+-. No sympathy, no refund.
